'12 Years a Slave' was a great film but bringing back slavery for 12 years just to shoot it was a bit much
Great job dismissing and dodging this post. You speak like a seasoned politician. Youre so obviously wrong its quite funny "erm go watch 12 years a slave" I cannot imagine posting something this cringe.
Sinners is the best film since 12 Years A Slave and Black Panthers Maybe even better than Get Out and Hidden Figures I haven’t seen it but definitely deserves an Oscar
That being said #12YearsASlave is a flawless, beautiful and absolutely powerful film that you need to see as soon as possible.
It's not the Oscars. It's the movies. The movies are absolute trash. No one has seen the trash movies. Or no one is buying that the trash movies are worthy of some major awards. Shape of Water, Moonlight, 12 Years A Slave, Everything Everywhere All at Once... All TRASH
The audience cares less and less each year about celebrities and their political rants during award shows. 2010: 41.3 million 2015: 37.3 million 2020: 23.6 million 2025: 19.7 million 2026: 17.9 million
12 Years a Slave is definitely not the same, Lupita Nyongo is a remarkable actor in that movie and that is not a historically harmful movie to black people, it’s a fantastic true story that needed to be shared
