Many players bought the game due to YouTubers like LeafyIsHere and stayed for the story. [1][2][3][4] The grappling hook parkour is praised as fun and fluid by several reviewers. [5][6][7][8] Some players find the controls clunky and the platforming frustrating. [9][10][11]

The story is nice but the controls are awfull. Half the time, they don't do what you want. At a point where it become an unpleasant journey. This game is really frustrating.

Leafy is here. The entire reason I bought this game. I still play it every now and then. It's kinda funny. I bought it because of some Youtuber I watched when I was younger, I stayed for the story and the emotions it made me feel. This funny little game that deserved a sequel but never got one. Made me cry. A story where you never hear your character utter a single word, but are guided through your adventure by a …

This is one of “those” games. Look at my game time. 30 hours. But you can finish this game in 3. So why that many? Well… Don’t get bamboozled like me, folks. When I started this game, I was expecting a more story oriented experience, just like the title suggests. But what I got is neither mainly focused on story nor uncle. How could I describe this in the easiest way possible? Imagine spider-man web slinging …

A great, short platformer with an intriguing story being told in the form of a bedtime story. The movement feels natural and fluid, with both the grappling hook and the rocket boots being very intuitive to use. All in all a very good game, but honestly screw that ice cave.

This game is okay, and I don’t regret the time I spent with it. I got toward the end of the game but didn’t finish it and probably never will. A Story About My Uncle is a 3D platformer story game. Its biggest sin is that it’s overconfident in its 3D platforming which is clunky and never really feels great. At times the platforming gets in the way of a pretty charming little story, which was a shame. I think this …

I remember back in 2017, watching Ducky Bhai play this on one of his classic roasting videos, getting completely hooked by the premise, and buying the game right then and there. It sat in my backlog like a digital artifact until I finally decided to clear it out. I fired it up on my Steam Deck, and credit where it’s due, it runs like an absolute charm on handheld, but once the credits finally…

Some gems, known and hidden: * Autonauts and Autonauts Vs Piratebots - Cute automation games * Spelunky - Elegantly simple and well executed platformer * BPM: Bullets Per Minute - Rhythm FPS. Others have tried. None I have found have been as good. * Immortal Redneck - FPS roguelite * Ziggurat - FPS Roguelite * Receiver II - Unique FPS roguelike. Every part of everything that moves is simulated. The hammer on your gun hits a firing pin which hits…

I crave that sensation of wonder you get when you explore a very crafted space that you feel you didn‘t need to be at. Or even better, a place you were never meant to go.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i bought this game 5 years ago, played it for a few minutes back then and abandoned it afterwards, today my fiance got me to play it again and i never had more fun in my life, it was a heart warming adventure for both of us, i high recommend this game, also not to bring any spoilers but you will meet someone that will remind you of your annoying sister lol
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game for free back in like 2018 (or 2019), and at the time i only had a windows 7 laptop that ran less efficient than a potato. i didn't even have a mouse, i had to play this with the little red thing in the middle of the keyboard. But despite all my problems with the lack of hardware, i enjoyed every moment of playing this game. years later im playing it on my custom built pc and i still love this game. wish there were more games like it, just a fun movement based game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know why but, I really like this game. Music is so matching with the atmosphere, difficulty isn't that hard. I can feel the peace through this game. I always play this game when I feel I lost something in playing games. Goat's sound and Midas Touch will never leave my head. I will always remember this game. Thank you for this great game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't usually write reviews but this game deserves it. The way you traverse the world is just... perfection. It's difficult but fair, and the views are rewarding. A must buy for anyone!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good and simple game Ik too old but sometimes old games beat most AAA titles
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a sweet game with a nice 3 4 hours of main story, it is a good choice to finish in 1 night than play some more times for parkour. I would say that it is worth its price for sure.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →yes if you like a really good story parkour adventure game in a alternate/under side of earth, highly recommend trying it. most fun ive had in a story game in awhile. I really hope for a 2nd game or pre sequel or something. the ending... youll figure out the mystery
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The story is kinda meh, but the parkour is actually fun af. Give it a try if it goes on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very emotional and challenging game, I reccomend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a bad story, which wouldn't hurt a remake. The game has great potential, but the technical implementation is average. I don't know why everyone complains about the jumps. I passed everything without problems. Although not without falls. Although, Maddie's task made me sweat.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent game. If you like mind bending first person puzzlers like Portal, The Turing Test, The Entropy Centre, and A Story About My Uncle, then get this too!

positive · AI labelView post →To be honest, I found the game very boring. I didn't feel engaged in the story; I was probably more focused on not falling. Honestly, if this game were a walking simulator, it would be better.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →-EN- A heartwarming short story and parkour game in the style of "Arthur and the Minimoys". We play the main character's childhood memories as he explains his longing and admiration for his uncle. As an uncle (a proud one), this concept satisfied me. The game length is appropriate; it doesn't try to be more ambitious than it is, and you can walk away from its simple story with a smile. Finally, I would like to add that the voice actors were even better than the game itself. -TR- "Arthur…

Hardspace Shipbreaker, Firewatch, Life is Strange, Edith Finch, Machinarium, Braid, ABZU, Limbo, Ori, Undertale, A Story About My Uncle all good, and popular stuff like Bioshock, Portal, Fallout, Baldur's Gate, all great games. I wasn't as impressed by the story as some of the other reviews, but it was entertaining enough for a game that won't take you more than a few hours to complete. The voice acting was a bit strange and stilted at times, but not to the point of be distracting. The graphics were very beautiful without being remotely taxing on the gpu. The grappling mechanic felt smooth and was pretty fun. Overall, I enjoyed it. Would I pay $15 for…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Glad to see Onirism in the list. I still don't know where the title is from, but it's definitely an oddball and was an unexpected find with a ton of content. Not exactly fitting the criteria, but in terms of using shooting mechanics and leaping between obstacles, an old indie I enjoyed is A Story About My Uncle. It even had surprisingly good facial animation for its time, especially since story isn't such a core element.
positive · AI labelView post →This beautiful game stood in my backlog for quite some time now (got it for free a couple of years ago) and I finally gave it a go and boy was I delighted to play it! It is well crafted and very immersive. The story is nice, there are quite a few easter eggs here and there as well as some very fun unlockables which you obtain via collecting some items in-game. I won't spoil the fun by telling you about them but be ready for a funny surprise! The time trial challenges after you've completed the…
