Don't let that cute cat fool you, this game is quite the brain tease! Honestly, this was not what I expected. I was originally looking for a chill and cozy card management/ deckbuilding cooking experience. And this is NOT that. Half frustration, half addicting...I binged this for 4 hours straight in one sitting. But would I recommend it? I am still on the fence on that one. It's a love-hate relationship. I LOVE the concept of this game. I haven't played anything like it before. In an Alice…

If I could, I would leave a neutral review, but having to choose, I think it deserves a thumbs down. Overall, I really enjoyed the first few hours of gameplay, but then my frustration skyrocketed. It has enormous potential, just poorly implemented. In its current state, I wouldn't recommend it. The game is interesting, cute, and well-designed graphically. I encountered several bugs, but they didn't ruin the gaming experience, so I'll overlook that aspect. After about ten hours, I…

The promise of the game is really nice, the estetic side is really cute. But... The actual game loop / system is not worked out well / balanced at all. It's either too hard / chaotic, or way too easy (if you simply pause). Since you can pause, you can take all the time you need to do everything step by step, making every level trivial. But should you decide not to pause (probably what the devs intended), the total randomness of what you receive from the ingredient packets can screw you over…

I think if you enjoy Cultist Simulator and Stacklands-likes, then you will have a good time with this one. The pros: Beautiful art, music and presentation. A good variety of recipes. The game lets you pause, so you don't have to worry about being overwhelmed. The cons: Overall, the gameplay is fun, but there is very little room for discovery - you just follow the same steps over and over again. It makes sense for a cooking game though. You do have plenty of unlocks for items and recipes, so…

The Stacklands-inspired cooking game, but the mechanics itself make the game tedious. The worst thing in this game is you have to keep random for ingredients, which is what makes Stacklands fun but sadly not for a cooking game where the customer is asking for a very specific ingredient and you have to keep buying and reselling the one you dont use. Other than that is fun, nice concept, nice design. There are several bugs but I dont mind, its understandable for a just-launched game I dont…

I played the demo for like 15 hours cause I was really vibing with it. Having the full game is fun, but it makes the bugs a lot more noticeable. Sometimes when you put a pile of coins onto the store to buy a packet, it will take all of your 10s coins and use up 30 coins for a 6 coin packet (which was in the demo). Sometimes the recipe cards will bug out and not tell you how to make something when you click on it and force you to fail the level. Sometimes the audio won't reduce properly, or even…

Buggy mess. Sometimes: You don't get a pack you paid for... Your money is just gone... All the stuff in your cupboard just disappear... space wont register when trying to pause... Also Annoying: The buying packs and reselling the contents to buy a new pack because you did'nt get what you were looking for. Why not just give you a store to purchase the ingredients you require? Having to memorize what you have in the fridge/cupboard or scroll through every single item one by one,…

Game-breaking bug at Lv.10. Patched as per 1.0.11. I'm not sure what to make of Abra-Cooking-Dabra. It is hardly a cozy game because of the time limit. And yet, the ability to pause at any time makes everything trivial. The number of stars we can acquire is not enough to buy everything in the store. This becomes a problem because there is currently no way to reset your purchase other than restarting all over from level 1. The amount of recipes is massive. While this is appealing at a glance,…

I love the game, its a lot of fun. The only complaint I have is, the game doesn't always explain things clearly. For example if I put ingredients in the cupboard (not fridge) during the level while serving customers that it will be thrown out after I serve the last guest. However, if I put it anything in the cupboard during the countdown after the last dish is served and the auto end of the match then it keeps them for the next round. I was 6 levels in when I lost 90% of my ingredients and had…

Sorry, I really wanted to like this game. A while ago I played the demo and it was looking really promising. Now I bought it and it's too bad that they made the UI control even worse. Everything has to be sorted on every round. Even if you repeat a level. Pull everything out of containers at random locations, move everything to a location you are used to, buy something? Sure, the money lands anywhere on the screen and you have to chase it. Put stuff together? Sure, after the 2nd or 3rd…

Very challenging and interesting game!!! First, there needs to be tutorial, or at least some kind of descriptions for the different items that you can get. It was hard to figure out what tool was used where, how money worked to buy things, what the cabinet vs the refrigerators are for, and so forth. Tooltips would be AWESOME. Once I figured all of that out, I really enjoyed this game. If there were some way to randomize the orders more, however, towards the end, I think it would be…

Target Audience: Familiar Players to the Genre With Good Tolerance Summary: Abra-Cooking-Dabra is an alright game that is at times good, but feels like it could be great with the right changes control wise. The core formula works in constructing dishes, and when the game is hitting on all cyclinders: providing a little stress but allowing you to succeed using the pause function, you can be really enjoying yourself in that OCD like manner. This game feels like it has all the component parts of a game I'd enjoy, but it is still, somehow, not a game I enjoy. The parts don't connect together right, and some seem to be installed backwards, even. There's randomized card packs ala stacklands or other similar deckbuilders, except A) I hope you remember which icon is which, because there's no way to check a list, and B) the animations are clunky and overly long, which matters because C) you get the full sell value back, so you can just…

This game has flaws like other people mentioned, tedious gameplay, unbalanced ingredients all the time (you know oils and sugar are needed more, why don't you just appear more frequently?). What I have to give a thumb down because the devs think it's fun to darken and dimmer your screen. A challenge is supposed to be fun not to make you pissed and not want to continue a game. Devs should look at how challenges were implemented in Overcooked for example

This game totally caught me by surprise. I wasn't expecting to get sooo into it. Its so intense when you're playing it, and you feel so accomplished after. Pros: Nice theme- the Cheshire cat/ Alice in Wonderland theme in London is sassy and kind of dark at the same time and gives a really nice mood to the game. The mechanics are super different and SO unlike any restaurant/cooking sim I've done before, the game really makes you learn how to cook each recipe through deduction and common sense,…

An interesting concept for this type of card game like Cultist SImulator and Stacklands. However I cannot recommend it because the difficulty and complexity ramps up way too quickly for me. This is a very challenging game, you are always time constrained, and I just got frustrated after repeating the same boss and failing on the same meal every time (about half way through the level). There is no way to progress without beating the boss, and I just couldn't see how it is feasible to finish that…

Really wanted to like this. It's Potionomics meets Overcooked. But the tutorial really needs work. There's little to no direction on what needs to be done and when. In the early levels, a customer could give you a clean plate, or a used one, and there's little direction on when that's going to happen. And no sign posting that the plate needs to go into the sink card. Paying for ingredients is random, and will sometimes not give you the thing you actually need. There's something here but, pun…

This is yet another case where I wish Steam had a neutral recommendation. I want to love this game, but it's held back enough that I can't recommend it unless you're like me and got it cheap in a bundle. In concept, it's really cool. Similar to games like Cultist Simulator, you're stacking cards with various uses and trying to manage them on the board while enemies can do special effects to those cards and mess things up for you. There are special stages with other ways to play. You can…

A rather interesting puzzle card game, though some mechanics seem poorly thought out. And this is a puzzle game, despite how it looks like a time management game. There is time management involved, but you can at any time freeze time to place cards where you need them. Abra-Cooking-Dabra (ACD) has all the trappings of the card-based management sim that you expect if you're familiar with the games that clearly inspire it (Cultist Simulator, Stacklands, etc). This game has a cute music, cute graphics and a cute cat. and the idea is good (some kind of overcooked) but there was no level designer and you end up doing the same thing for hours without any challenge so I cannot recommend this game to anyone (even though it's not necessarily a bad game)

I don't see point of finishing each level, if u can just click pause and it won't affect score. I tried do it without pause button but then it becomes impossible from lv4. Then that timing u have for each client makes no sense cuz pause button will solve all problems related to time. I like such card type based games but it's just not challenging at all.

This game is what Stacklands and Cultist Simulator are, but with cooking. It's fun, five hours in I still don't understand the difference between the fridge and the cupboard (except maybe the cupboard doesn't save everything?) and some recipes seem impossible. Yes, devil's eggs take boiling the egg three times to get hard boiled, then chopped, then add mustard and mayonnaise. So I felt the key to any level became having a few medium eggs prepared, and always spending money on as many packets as…

There is no way this game should be "Mixed." It's a good fun game. Others have said their were bugs. I have only encountered one where a store eat my money without giving me products back but otherwise pretty smooth. edit: Make that two. A special guest didn't come at the end of the day and the whole game broke requiring me to redo the level. Once these bugs are fixed, it's firmly a very solidly good game.

This game is a cute and really fun take on the food prep/serving kind of game mixed with the mechanics of a Stacklands-style game. The demo was really fun and polished so I'm giving the game a Thumbs Up. After playing a bit in the full version, I still say it's great. It can be hectic, but the game will allow you to pause to plan and prep as much as you need to, so whether you want chill card stacking or hectic dish creation, it can honestly tick either box.

It's alright, it's a puzzle game where you have to manage resources so you can cook the recipes and satisfy all customers.. there's a lot of recipe variety and it's fun managing the special customers requests and effects. The game has a few bugs and for some reason no steam cloud, also the RNG is really bad, all the levels devolve into farming cards to sell so you can gamble more packs to get the ingredients you need. You can also pause anytime and that can make the game really easy.

I loved this game. It took me a couple of levels to realize I could pause while I dealt with my cards, otherwise I just may not have loved it. Figuring out some recipes the first time around can be a challenge and it is still just challenging enough to have the trappings of a time management element. The cat is cute and the concept is a mix between stacklands (but much shorter) and cookard (but more complete. For the price, it is worth the time.

I HATED so much to Release the click button to move the Cards in "Maintain'n'Drag" / "Hold'n'Slide" mode. The Recipes Sometimes you accidentally drag the money amount to the wrong box. As a result, you can't recycle/refund using the chat feature that offers it. 'Cause these required a cost of 6 units. *(If only there were an option to confirm the purchase of the pack! Instead of DRAG the card) The Steps in some Recipes are incomprehensible and inexplicable in terms of how to do them.

Pretty fun game, very relaxing and I would recommend it. It seems relatively linear though so not alot of room for freedom of discovery or replayability. Overall looks like atleast 20 hours of fun though. Ideas: 1. Add in clients who have orders that simply give you the stars/cash needed for upgrades but are not part of the main number of people you have to serve. 2. Maybe a challenge mode where certain guests force you to not be able to pause, or pause only works for 5 seconds at a time. I…

I think the game only really pressures you if you do the never-ending levels. I do think the game is rather slow-paced and that the pause button is king but it's still fun. I just think there could be more added stress. One unintentional stress point though is that I had a bug with milk where I couldn't make it into cheese or cream despite following the recipe.
