Thumbs down but barely. This feels like a game from early 90s, when settings just had more and more stuff crammed into them, like classic Might and Magic or Ultima. Gameplay wise at first glance you'd think it's like Terraria or Starbound, but really it has more in common with Star Control 2. Games like this rarely get made anymore. The problem is the clunkiness, another thing that makes it feel like it's from over …

One of the stupidest games I've ever played. I love it. The plot? Magic space aliens blew up earth! Blow them up in turn! How? Whatever! Wanna strip mine every planet in a 1200 light year radius to construct a fleet so vast it blots out the sky? Sure! Wanna learn magic and turn dragons into spaceships! Yep! Wanna do both? I think that's a route, yeah! Also, there's mods. Workshop's a bit dead, due to the fact this …

Aground: Starts as "Castaway" and ends as "Conquering the Cosmos," which is a pretty solid upgrade. You begin punching trees, then you're building spaceships. Talk about upward mobility. The crafting is deep enough to keep you hooked, the exploration is wide enough to keep you busy, and the story is just silly enough to make you chuckle. The graphics aren't going to win any awards for realism (because they're not …

Aground is a vast 2D, side-view, retro-style game with a Terraria-like feel, but it offers tougher challenges and a more rewarding sense of exploration. Before diving into the mods, let’s talk about the base game. The story follows your character, who wakes up on a mysterious planet with no memory of how they got there. From there, your adventure begins. The game offers five different paths to follow - three are …

I played the kongregate demo 6 years ago and aground was the first game I bought on PC. I made this steam account to download aground. THAT's how good it is. I finished my initial playthroughs when the hybrid path wasn't fully mapped out. Their addition has only made the game even better. The graphics are adorable, bordering on impressive for bosses and big vehicles and I feel like this is the best of its genre- …

Had to dig through an old flash drive but LOCATED. Here is the pilot. Left is mine, right is from the game. I will post more soon! #pixelart | #art | #illustration

Found this on steam years later. now my life is complete. 10/10 plot, 10/10 gameplay, 10/10 for the childhood memories. This game needs more appreciation, it's underrated. accidentally killed the alchemist. restarting the game for him, my life cannot go on without my best bro.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I cannot put down *Aground*. I played the demo on PC and bought the full game on Switch. Controls were clearly designed for mouse and keyboard, but the mapping to joycons is satisfactory 99% of the time. I have played for dozens of hours and have no good sense of how far through the game I am; it just keeps throwing more at me. Some goals are made explicit via quests, some are alluded at only through NPC dialogue, and some are just "explore and find out". It's very clearly in the Minecraft /…
positive · AI labelView post →this is probably the most underrated game ever created. I've finished this time four times, and I sometimes go back to try and finish it again. the gameplay is expansive and full of different routes, different endings, and you can literally tune 90% of the game for your liking. (BESIDES FOR SOME REASON NOT BEING ABLE TO MOVE THE MARKET but that's besides the point) either way, this game is worth the price tag, and one could say it's a steal, and I recommend highly recommend this for people who…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very underrated game and honestly needs a better squeal then just going 3d, I played the demo some much when i was younger and always had fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Masterclass of a game in terms of story and art. Gameplay itself was enjoyable to grind for hours on end. The cherry on top was the music; one of the most memorable soundtracks to come from the indie game genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played the demo for this game on miniclip years ago then sort of just forgot about it until i recently stumbled upon it again and i have to say it is even better than i remembered. I had a lot of fun playing it again and finally reaching the end.

positive · AI labelView post →Played casually, had fun until ... A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nuke destroyed literally everything I worked for no warning and no way to prevent it. honestly screw this game wtf.

neutral · AI labelView post →I started playing the demo for this game years ago, through gaming websites. I decided to buy the whole game and I'm quite impressed with how the game has developed. It's mostly a mining game, getting the resources you need through mining to get better equipment to finish all the quests given to you. The art style is cute, and the story is also good. To me, for a downside, it's how easy it can be to die while in battle. You should always carry food that heals you and gives you energy because if…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Incredibly fun game, 100% worth the value of the cost. Easily a few hundred hours of gameplay that is fun and interesting. Lots of different side quests and paths you can go down. Highly recommend! 10/10 game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would recommend this game because i find it very enjoyable and good to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First island is fun, characters seem alive, exploration is fun. Unfortunately, the charm gets lost fast. * After the first island, travel times and inventory management become tedious. * Charming characters don't play any role whatsoever anymore after one or two interactions. This is particularly sad, because the existing short sequences deliver a lot. * Progression comes through armor, weapons and tools that use a stone, paper, scissors scheme (with elements). Most of the game time seems to…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Incredibly simple and I enjoy my time with it. It feels a lot like a Newgrounds flash game you played in High School when the teacher wasn't looking, but expanded to the size of a full-release game on Steam.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game was my childhood its very opened world you can do you and have fum when you dont want to do the quest
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played Aground for about 20 hours, but unfortunately, the game started freezing after that. I found several other players on the forums who had experienced the same issue, but I couldn’t find a solution. It feels like a cheap Terraria clone, but with different adventures to embark on. Instead of building walls one by one, you can build an entire structure with a single click. I’m leaving a negative review because I couldn’t find a fix for the freezing.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun game, been playing throughout 6 years. Just recently got the full version, and it's amazing. Originally when I first tried it I thought it'd be a one and done, but the plot to the story and the activities are never-ending. (In a very good way) Would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for an actual adventure game. I am currently still working my way through the game, but it has granted me many hours of fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is amazing! Plus a few mods that truly add more to the game! The first time experience of playing this game is truly AMAZING. I heavily recommend this game, I had over 300 hours in this game on the switch version, but this version is much more worth it.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To be honest, I got this game some years ago from a website that shared the game as piracy. I played it and I finished it, and It was a completely nice adventure. Every time that I advanced in the game, trying to get the most balanced gameplay, reading all the dialogs and looking at the small details it got all my attention. Not my type of game graphically in the beginning, but the plot and content made me think that when simple things just fit together and end in an interesting game loop the…

neutral · AI labelView post →Wow i did not expect this game to be this good. Went into thinking "wow these graphics are reeeeeallllly dated, and you walk soooooooo sloooooow" the graphics are still dated, but not only am I fast as hell now (permanently), but the sheer amount of content is astounding. I guarantee that you will be blown away. Absolute insanity, this game. If you come into with an open mind, it will hook you as soon as you meet the alchemist, I'm sure. I'm so hooked, man. wow again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i love this game very much and i was so sad when i ended it that i searched mod page to find some alternative story to satisfy my need to play this but i still wishes storyline wouldn t really stop there cuz there are for example 2 or more unused planets if i remember and i wish i could see them get some point in game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game to play solo or with friends, once you played through once there's not a whole lot to do though, the alternate endings only change the story a little bit and are not a whole lot different from each other, the game isnt that long either but you will still get what you pay for, the building is fairly limited and there are not many mods to add anything either, i would still recommend it if you just want to play something chill with a friend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is what happens when Minecraft and Terraria have a baby It's honestly pretty chill.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i have played this game multiple times across several platforms and it never fails to disappoint. It can be confusing at times but stick with it and you will be rewarded!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →play terraria if u like this
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a pretty fun game, and the mods on mod.io also add more content, and it runs very well on my I-gpu!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing story and multiple game endings
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good story and mechanics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was my first introduction to 2D mining/crafting games. I've tried many others since this one and they all fall flat in comparison. There's just so much going on in this game in terms of story that other games in the genre just don't have.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Perfect for playerss who love cosy farming, adventure, deep sci-fi lore, or epic combat, as all can be experienced, similar to games like Stardew Valley, Minecraft or Terraria. Something I appreciate, however, is that no aspect of the game is mandatory. If you hate fighting, you can focus on farming and mining and still get the best experience out of this game. I have played hours upon hours of the Aground demo on Armor games, and was only recently gifted the full version, which I have not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game its got 40 hours worth of content very simple and you can progress 2 different paths witch change the way u play very fun simple 2d game if your looking for a game to play when u dont have much time to play 9/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[Aground early game spoilers] Every mining game ever: Lava bad, lava deals damage, lava means stop Aground: Yeah you kind of need to dig through the lava to find diamonds
neutral · AI labelView post →this is adventure, base building, exploreing, magic, hybrid and just doggone FUN,also supports multi player with your siblings
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played this back on Kongregate when the beta released. Still holds up!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →you can turn a baby into a gun 10/10 game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game doesn't respect your time, will throw an event that ruins your playthrough randomly after a quest without any real warning, Not recommended to anyone who values their time
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super enjoyable, but the ending is underwhelming for the hybrid path, which is arguably the best path to take. It being underwhelming makes the post game stuff not very motivating to do. Overall a good game. The planets outside the first could be bigger.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun RPG games with several branching tech tree/progression paths. There are a LOT of quests to complete, and many of which are missable are not required to complete the game. There are some quirks such as the very finite (at least until you reach end game) resources due to non-regenerating tiles, very very VERY cramped screen zoom with a busy UI. Most of which can be resolved via the various mods available via steam workshop and/or mod.io, although the steam workshop is generally more…
