Not recommended. Problems: - bad dialogues, I got bored to tears and had to skip a lot of useless banter - Anna has a whiny voice that's barely tolerable - Anna is plain and boring when is not irritating. In the end, the game let us play as the antagonist when she was a child, and she's 10 times more interesting and relatable than Anna. - The antagonist is a witch that loves science over witchcraft and her best …

Really beautiful sweet/dark point and click graphic adventure. It has good longevity, graphics and soundtrack. The only thing that is not good is certainly the very high price for a 2015 game. I recommend taking it on a discount because the full price is madness. 8/10 my rating

What a wonderful adventure game. If you like point & clickers I definitely recommend Anna's Quest. But make sure you play it until the end. At the beginning the story feels quite childish and simple, and you might be annoyed by Anna's voice, but it is worth going forward. The story proves to be more and more interesting as you go through the episodes, and each and every character happens to have an important role. …

fun and charming point-and-click adventure with an interesting story and a slightly dark but humorous tone. Puzzles are easy, so it’s relaxing and not frustrating at all. The art style is unique and fits the game well, though it might not be for everyone. ecommended if you want a chill adventure game.

The story is engaging from start to finish, the characters are charming, and the puzzles are clever without becoming frustrating. Its beautiful and is absolutely worth playing. 10/10

My solo dev game following Anna's Quest is The Big Hollow: 1982, a grounded, dark & atmospheric serial killer murder mystery inspired by real processes and procedures. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sweet fairy tale straight out of the children's books — carrying a serious message alongside it Very simplistic art style shouldn't and it won't distract you from the principles of life many of us had abandoned. Making your life revolve around money and fame, 'specially when you have neither yet, is one way to make your life miserable. What's it got to do with the game? Probably nothing. But Anna is a great child and her grandpa did a wonderful job on her upbringing. At no point in the game…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a decent point and click game, even if the dialogue feels way too long-winded at many points during the game. If you care about getting all the achievements, there is one achievement that is pure RNG ("Ooh, it's shiny!"), and there is a chance that, like me, you will not get it during your normal playthrough and will have to go out of your way to get it, which is not ideal and really unnecessary. The Linux version of the game works without any issues.

Daedalic spins a world of witches, kings, and sly tricks, but at its heart stands Anna: kind, stubborn, and braver than she seems. I’ve always loved fairy tales, and this game feels like slipping back into that world. I may stumble with point & click…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The animation and story is cute, but other than that, the game play and puzzles are rather frustrating than satisfying. I feel like they were aiming for the target audience to be a bit younger, but quite a few of the puzzles are random rather than cleverly linked together for the player to intuitively find out, so I doubt a 13 year old will find this fun. For example, the organ at the church. I won't spoil too much but the instructions for how to play the organ is in a random location outside…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An engaging plot, great design, and a few well-placed jokes. It even comes with a teddy bear. Guaranteed: you’re in for several evenings immersed in the atmosphere of a children’s fairy tale
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked the story! The point and click adventure mechanics for the most part were okay! Overall it's not that bad of a game! However, I simply wouldn't recommend this to anyone because the dialogue wasn't great and the voice acting was absolutely awful. Take a mediocre and overly drawn-out script and pair it with insufferable voices, terrible acting, and inconsistent pronunciations throughout the entire game? Painful.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're a fan of point and clicks, this is for you. Fun game, novice level point and click. Only issues I had is it would only launch in fullscreen and playing with a controller off my TV I couldn't click on all the candy sometimes you could get close enough sometimes you couldn't and I didn't feel like going back to the PC to use the mouse.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is just awful example of "moon logic" at it's finest. There is a reason why "moon logic" style point'n'click games went away, after 1990s and if you want to know why, just play this game. There is no logic to the riddles. Just random point and clicking, until you find right combinations. You will get yourself frustrated, trying to figure out twisted logic, behind the given level. At least old point'n'click games had style, humour and distinct feel to them. This is just bland game…

neutral · AI labelView post →Nice classic, old-style, adventure game. I got a bit annoyed by the long dialogues and voice overs, but since I paid literally a few cents for this game I can't help but recommend it (if bought during sales).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the game. The story is exciting and not as predictable as expected, the characters are well developed. Sometimes you have to puzzle over how and where things will continue. And you don't have the typical ending that most games like this have. The only negative point is that the game is played very quickly. Apart from that, I recommend this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's an enjoyable point and click, family friendly type of game that is suitable for little children.(I myself as an older person didn't enjoy the game that much it just got so boring. The story felt kinda slow but if english is a foreign language for you just like my own case this is a great game to teach A1-A2 level english to your kids or maybe even yourself. Would recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Old feeling point and click adventure, fairly classic in its approach, much in line with what i know Daedalic usually delivers. The world and art direction are well done, with a colorful and cute style that contrasts nicely with its darker fairy tale atmosphere, featuring witches, magicians, and creatures. Voice acting is solid and helps with immersion, while the soundtrack is more subtle and not particularly memorable. Gameplay follows the usual formula: exploration, item combinations, and…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really liked the game. the story was great and captivating and it was nice to unravel all the mysteries and story lines, and to see how everything just connects in the end. felt quite sad about the ending tho, its good and it just had to be like that but I hope Anna told everyone the truth of what actually happened back then. Yes she was wicked and what Winnie did cannot be excused, but spending your whole life in someone's shadow, while trying to prove them that you're also worth something…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thankyou, This game has a good story and some puzzles that can be tricky. I enjoyed the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I get that it's something of a classic and I got it on the summer sale for pennies, but I can't say it's very enjoyable... I dislike the main characters and the story seems disjointed and involved. I don't think I'll finish it :/
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another great game by Daedalic. I loved the references to their other games in this one. The ending was a little disturbing, such a shame for the villain.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a cosy game that I enjoyed and would recommend. At this point my playtime is 27 hours, which is about three play-throughs (initial play-through, a speed-run for achievements and then a recent re-visit for enjoyment). On Windows 10, I didn't run into any bugs or difficulties, and found the gameplay experience to be nice and smooth. I found this to be a great game for when you want to relax and chill out. There are light puzzles that are enough to make you think it through, but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A beautiful point-and-click adventure, neither too difficult nor too easy. While some dialogues felt a bit slow at times, Anna’s journey was overall a heartfelt and emotional experience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I adored the art in this game; it looks beautiful and magical. The story was engaging, and I became invested. I loved the characters, and the voice acting was exceptional. Some good puzzles and the dialogue had good humour throughout. I enjoyed it thoroughly and would highly recommend to adventure game lovers like myself

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I reviewed this game when I used to cover the industry. It's really good- little slow in pace, but makes up for it with awesome animations and fun puzzles. Well worth playing, especially on sale.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's fun to play, the puzzles aren't too hard but not boring, and the characters are enjoyable. Parts of the game's plot and character arcs feel unfinished and unsatisfying, and I was left with questions at the end of the game which never get answered - but I would still recommend it as a point and click adventure game despite this, there is so much good stuff in there too.

neutral · AI labelView post →Anna's Quest is another strong point-and-click adventure from Daedalic Entertainment, and if you’ve played their games before, you’ll feel right at home. Like most of their titles, it’s full of humor, quirky characters, and clever little details. The very beginning was a bit rough for me, mainly because of the voice acting. It felt a bit off at first and was honestly a little annoying, but after a while I got used to it and it stopped bothering me. Pretty quickly, I started getting strong…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good point and click adventure that has comparatively few moon logic puzzles (plus some hints woven naturally into dialogue) which makes the game flow fairly smooth. Looks and sounds great as well. Story is simple, but gets points for being not very conventional.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is such a wonderful and thoughtfully designed Point & Click Adventure. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed playing it together. They only thing that is missing is a german voice pack. Otherwise I would also play it with my kids :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great little point and click adventure game, like games of old. The dark themes are appreciated. One downfall was it a tad short.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In Anna's Quest by Daedalic you play as Anna- a little girl trapped by an evil witch. It's a point-and-click-adventure with amazing puzzles. On your way to help your grandpa to get cured from a horrible curse you meet many crazy fellas- not only from popular (German) tales, but also Easter eggs from other Daedalic games! The game takes you into a beautiful world full of friends and foes that tells its own tale. the voice acting is phenomenous and the music deepens the eerie vibe. You feel…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I kind of want my day returned. I spent a good part of a day getting through most of the game. Stopped at the last chapter because of the convoluted story and cloudy characters. I am a meat and potatoes gamer, the game play is what decidedly had me give this a thumbs down. Anna's Quest is definitely a 'moon logic' adventurer. Makes no sense!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There were certainly elements of the game that I did enjoy and I even liked aspects of the story as well. Especially when you were introduced to Hans and could start to guess where the story was going. The art work is what drew me in and I really liked a lot of the settings. Some of the settings were a little half baked with very few items to interact with. But overall, the artwork and the deeper parts of the story were good enough to keep me around to the end of the game. However, Anna's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really liked this game. Anna is a very likeable character and to solve the puzzles was a lot of fun. I got stuck a few times but always found the solution shortly after. The conclusion might not please everyone but nothing's perfect and it emphasizes the darker tone of the story. Recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun, cutely designed adventure game. Likeable characters and decent humour. Game is not particularly long (about 10 hours), and the puzzles were challenging enough to not insult your intelligence yet not enough to make you feel stupid, even if a few of them felt a bit long-winded to me. The only major problem the game had is the voice acting direction. In the English version it's terrible. Only a few characters sound like they have actually trained actors, and the rest feels as if they are…

It combines a charming fairy tale atmosphere with a surprisingly dark and engaging story. The protagonist, Anna, is a strong and likable character with a kind heart, and following her journey as she uncovers secrets and battles against sinister forces kept me hooked from start to finish. The game’s art style is simple but effective, with hand-drawn visuals that give it a storybook feel. The voice acting is…
