A very unimaginative and derivative game. It tries very hard to mimic Buckshot Roulette. Not only does it share the general style popularized by that game (which is fine) but even many of the animations and effects seem to have been copied directly. At the same time, there aren’t that many unique animations. Virtually everything the opponent uses looks pretty much the same. Also, for some reason, the game pretends …

As a fan of Buckshot Roulette, this felt tailor-made for me. The aesthetic is straight fire ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) and the campaign gameplay was fun to play through. Though, I do have a bit of constructive criticism, perhaps stylistic preferences. Firstly, the campaign is short. Very short. And the gameplay starts to feel repetitive once you unlock pity mode, and there just isn’t enough content to keep me coming back for long …

What can I tell you about Arsonate that anyone with eyes can't see already? It has an incredible and highly thematic style, excellent atmosphere, impeccable sound design, polished and very fun mechanics... It's a compact, simple game, extremely competent in everything it sets out to do, and HIGHLY recommended.

ARSONATE is a deadly game of chance where a forest fire spreads with each flip of a card. - Choose where the fire spreads and don’t let it get too close - Some cards have unique abilities that can skew the odds - You can play solo or against other players

fun game, but theres a few nitpicks. the animations of the Host using items swing the camera around the room a lot, i kinda wish it was possible to turn off/lessen the movement. i would also like an option to turn off (or at least skip) the ending text and intro speech, playing multiple rounds take longer to start than it needs to take. one last thing i would want is the ability to discard the key after you win for a secret ending, kinda like the mask.

Arsonate is a very fun and unique card game but can be quite frustrating when the odds are just completely stacked against you. A bare minimum summary of the game is that you have to turn cards over towards yourself which can reveal either a fire (does nothing), redraw (take another turn) or a resource (get a new item) you can also double down after revealing a card to get extra items. The problem is that the entire field is random, this means if you're like me you might get a round where the…

Found it very cool that you could actually play this game with a real deck of cards, gotta try it sometime. So when I was taking notes for any rule changes from the demo, the Host noticed that the game was out of focus and told me that we weren't done playing yet. That legit sent goosebumps down my spine. Really do not enjoy this game, It has a cool concept but there is no real thought processes required just immediately use every item because there is no reason to save any for some sort of play. No planning when it comes to the cards just mindlessly click cards and cross your fingers that it's in your favor. It is trying so hard to be buckshot roulette and in my opinion fails to have the same feeling of stress and excitement that buckshot has where every action is planned and puts you at the…

Went from winning from one space away to having the cpu use one crowbar and immediately watched them win and took 30-45 minutes of just doing nothing while they constantly got more crowbars and stole all my items in my lockers to them having full lockers when they could have just used a spyglass to see a fire card and just end the turn and stop the game so much sooner.

This is Buckshot Roulette if Buckshot Roulette was unnecessarily complicated and if the Dealer had cameras under the table to see exactly which cards are where, and little minions to fetch exactly the items he needs when he needs them. You finally got an extinguisher? Well, too bad, the Host got a crowbar, an extinguisher and 3 fuel cans the very next round. I did thoroughly enjoy the Arsonate demo on Itch.io and played it a bunch, and I wish I would have known sooner there was a full release of it. But, regardless, I bought it and played it. It is the same, but with an added double down mechanic. But here is the rundown of the basics. There are 29 cards, one tower card at the end for each side, with 5 starter cards in the middle of you and your opponent. There are three types of cards: Fire, Utility, and Redraw. Once a participant has flipped all…

Then the full release comes out, and it's amazing. It FEELS good to play, the music that plays is during the match fits the vibe perfect. For three dollars this is a game worth playing. For 6 dollars it's a game worth playing with a buddy. It probably won't be your next time sink, but a chill game with a great…

ARSONATE is a multiplayer horror experience that thrives on panic, uncertainty, and psychological pressure rather than traditional scares. Good game, read below for why. For those wondering exactly how much of a game there is here, I have to say that there isn't much here. You play a card game and once you win or lose you just head back to main menu and either play again or you could just play something else. The game itself has 3 difficulty modes, 1 you need to unlock, and then there is online multiplayer. That's pretty much it...yet somehow every game you play is fun. Love this game. Not just because I love Buckshot but because this actually has a very unique spin to it. Comparing both games I personally believe Arsonate is actually better, only because it gives you more agency compared to Buckshot. It is your choice to die, your choice to burn your tower, your choice to -Though I recommend against it- end the game in 4 moves.
