Blade Runner is still better than Blade Runner 2049
i will think less of you if you think blade runner 2049 is a good movie.
Because they feel hollow. You dont care about any of the characters. Similiar with Blade Runner 2049. Seems that the higher the budget....his movies lose their soul. With the exception of Arrival, but even that didnt have a big budget.
Thoughts on Villeneuve’s filmography so far: Dune: Did not like, but I didn’t care for the book, so not his fault. Prisoners: Good, but not great. Sicario and Blade Runner 2049: Both masterpieces.
And the entrance. A one sheet. Glorious artwork. And a very very good movie too. #BladeRunner2049
Villeneuve is a GOAT. He does 2 things better than anyone i’ve ever seen, sound design and scale. Watch Blade Runner 2049, Dune or Arrival. Big things look big. I think it’s an under appreciated quality
