Players praise the game's beautiful art style and charming characters. [1][2][3] Many note it is very short, around 3 hours, and some feel the price is high for the content. [1][4][5] Several reviewers warn about accidentally deleting saves due to confusing menu icons. [6][7][8]

This game started very promising, until accidently restarted it from the beginning...TWICE. I had all of my progress lost... TWICE. The menu consists of some pictures/icons and you can not be sure what they mean. It is very easy to get confused and have to start all over. Someone really wanted to act original here, and got a bit carried away. I am really frustrated and do not want to play this game anyomore.

This is a lovely game, but please be aware that it is extremely short. I finished it in just under 3 hours, and that was with distractions. The art style is gorgeous, the characters are adorable. The puzzles are great, not too easy to be boring, but not too hard to make me give up. It's just a shame that it's not very long, and a good chunk of the game is what was already playable as the demo. I do feel the price is …

Props to Ukrainian developers for getting this out for folks to enjoy. There seems to be an emerging subgenre of "Amanita"-likes and this fits the bill nicely. I struggled with a few things along the way, notably pressing the "Star" icon on the main menu, which apparently reSTARts your game without warning and your save is lost, BUYER BEWARE... I also find the exposition comic panels to be hit or miss in conveying …

The illustration style of this game reminded me of Machinarium, so I immediately picked it up. And I am very glad I did. The world is wonderfully imagined. The interactions with the characters and environment leave you wanting to explore even more. (Thankfully, there is a sequel. Hopefully there will be more.) The illustration and animation are so beautiful. The music fits perfectly. And the puzzles are fun. There …

Boxville: A CAN-Do Attitude in a Colorful World The game throws you right into the chaos – a non-stop earthquake! You play as a can (I think it's some delicious beverage in the past) who's just lost their best friend, a canned doggy. Now, it's a rescue mission! Gameplay Boxville is a short but sweet adventure, maybe 4 or 5 chapters long. The puzzles are clever, sometimes making you scratch your head for a good …

neutral · AI labelView post →This is a rather shortish but great integrated point n click puzzle game, very much in the style of 'cotton games' (Mr Pumpkin, Isoland) both visually and the type/style of puzzles. The characters I love - tin can dog I adore. It doesn't have manual saves only auto save (or checkpoint save as when I went back into the game I had to redo a minigame). It has no hints or hotspot indicator but with the usual limited areas to explore, although sometimes it's a try something on everything approach,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boxville offers a soothing, albeit mostly frustrating experience. As a cartoon and as a story, the game is outstanding and memorable due to its tranquil and idyllic setting and design. However, most solutions and puzzles are far too tedious or unclear here, thus turning a relaxing playthrough into an annoying one. Even though I have mixed feelings about this game, I'd still say that it's obvious the developers put a lot of effort and love into it. And I'm happy that such a beautiful and unusual…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Such a lovely hand-drawn point and click adventure. I played the Demo in the past before the game got released and after going through that I knew that Boxville is going to be super fun. It has enough puzzles to keep you busy and I must admit that some of them got me stuck. After more tries and experimenting I eventually got past all of them and enjoyed every second of the game.

neutral · AI labelView post →A lovely little point and click in the vain of Machinarium. No dialogue or words just like it and the art is strikingly similar. Way too easy to accidently delete your save but it's a short game so doesn't take long to get back to where you were. the story was a fun little romp through the box world to get your dog/can back.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty short for 15 dollars. Good style. Hard to tell what you can and can't do in this game. Heartwarming ending. Hard to recommend it for this price, but if it's on sale then go for it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wonderful gameplay, graphics, music and storyline, the game has a very unique style in terms of characters and puzzles. You really need to think hard in order to complete the puzzles which makes the game even more entertaining, very proud of the team for making this game during a very hard time and they nailed it!

positive · AI labelView post →Beautiful short puzzle game. The game has autosave, don't try to the save the game and delete 2 hours getting confused with the menu icons as happened to me.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A beautiful, warm & cozy, point-n-click, brain teaser. Boxville is a game that will both enamor you with its overwhelming charm & calming visuals, just as it will tick you the ♥♥♥♥ off with its sometimes nonsensical solutions & finicky features. Cutting straight to the chase, Boxville is a delightful time. So if you like point-n-clicks, puzzles, a cozy atmosphere, a captivating soundtrack, or the cute aesthetics you see before you, then its pretty safe to say you'll find something to…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Incredible wholesome game that has soothing calming Lofi feeling. Relax and go on adventures with fun tin friends. The music is delightful and the soundscaping even more so. Great game to stream if you are looking for a fun calm game with great music. I finished the main story in three hours but there are some bonus stories I'm excited to still find.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What I liked: *The creative characters made of barrels, tuna fish cans and pop cans. Colorful with their own kind of charm. *The game's save feature is pretty much spot on. I don't sit for hours playing at my computer and it's nice to pick up right where I leave off each time. *Pretty good puzzles, all in all. What made me give this a thumbs down: *Clunky and slow movement that takes a long time to navigate from place to place. *Moon logic puzzles....who to give your stuff too, why do you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amanita hasn't given us any more Machinarium yet, so these guys seem to have decided they would give it a go. It's clear to see where Boxville gets it's inspiration, and it honestly does it credit with a great design style, really nice art and some well thought out (and a couple less well thought out) puzzles. Overall, just a really nice little puzzle game, if short, it's still more than worth the pricetag.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a lovely little game that is SO reminiscent of Machinarium, which everyone loved. It plays in a similar way as there is no dialog, and the clues are all in pictures which you are shown. The clues are sometimes easy to understand but some are harder to figure out. You acquire items here and there but it's not always so simple to figure out where they go. The characters are all different forms of tin cans, some large and some small. Your character is a large tin can and the little…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The cutest game of Ukrainian developers reminiscent of Machinarium. The plot unfolds in the world of boxes called Boxville and the protagonist goes in search of a missing dog Rusty at the same time helping the inhabitants of Boxville. A short game but it's heartwarming, thanks to the developers, I had fun. 🐶💙💛
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty nice point&click game with not difficult puzzles. I like it Thank you for support Ukraine (found a hint in one of puzzles). So will recommend game to all my friends.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Such a great game! I've been heavily anticipating this one since I found it in the Steam Next Fest back in June of this year. I didn't have any sort of bugs or technical issues, it just worked. I played about half of it on Linux (natively!) and half of it on the Steam Deck where it worked very well too. I didn't need to adjust anything to make it work on the deck either, not controls or anything. It was a short, but very sweet experience. It definitely would've taken me longer, probably at…

If you outplated the guy who outplayed the Dealer - you're cooler than Dealer!!! Burned out on case pazzle Loved the blocks pazzle (i dealed with it in like 2 HOURS on first playthrough) Cola IS a weapon! What could be scarier than canclowns? Canclowns' canchief! Can/10

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a cute little point and click adventure with a really great aesthetic/art-style, and a series of puzzles that vary between straightforward to just barely skirting the definition of galaxy brain and/or poorly explained. It never reaches that point though, so while you may need a walkthrough ever so rarely, for the most part you and your own noggin can probably power through this game. Overall, the art-style and simplicity of the design won me over, so I can absolutely recommend this…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boxville is an adventure puzzle game about speechless cans living in a city of boxes and drawing doodles on cardboard to tell the stories. The game was made in Ukraine by Triomatica Games with the intention for it to be not only a game but also an animated film that you can watch as you play. It will take around 3 – 4 hours to complete and is a fantastic example of a point-and-click game. The unique art style and cute animations are a highlight of the game and really help bring the characters…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you liked playing Machinarium you'll definitely enjoy Boxville as well. Give it a try! Its a heart warming story about a can man looking for his missing dog in Bloxville. The art work looks pretty clean and charming, there's no way for you to get lost in Bloxville. The puzzles themselves are not too easy or too hard to figure out, just the right amount of difficulty. The only complaint is that this game is around 3 hours long for 15 dollars may turn some people away. I would suggest adding…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Guys, this game isn't just a game for me; I enjoy its graphics even more than the gameplay itself. Some people have finished it in less time... However, I struggled with just three puzzles, which led me to quickly look up the solutions on YouTube. I can't even describe it! I wish there were more games with this cartoonish, vintage-inspired art style. My favorite puzzle was the one where you guessed what the characters would look like after changing their colors or hats. I generally enjoy…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute Machinarium-like. Had a lot of fun puzzling with my daughter!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love a good, cozy game and I love puzzle games - this was the perfect combination of the two. Each puzzle was difficult enough to make you sit and think for a bit, while not being so hard you get frustrated and put the game away [never to be seen again]. I was able to finish it in about 2-2.5 hours and enjoyed it the whole time! Kudos for the sound designers as well, every click and movement was a joy to listen to in this game! (Now to go sus out Boxville 2...)

neutral · AI labelView post →Very nice game with cute characters. I loved the design. Sometimes it was hard to understand what to do, but otherwise very positive experience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tincanarium do be cool.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is bad. Glitches, weird confusing bits, bad story, etc. The game is too confusing at times. If you're a point-and-click adventure game enjoyer, this game is not for you. It doesn’t deliver. It’s not what it seems to be. The puzzles are okay at best, and most of them are just confusing. Like, how was I supposed to know that I had to dye a screw yellow so I could bait the bandit robot? How was I supposed to know I was supposed to do that??? Oh, because he was juggling a coin in his hand?…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short but interesting and cute point and click game. All in best traditions. Some puzzles, some walking. But not too much and nothing counter intuitive that you have to guess. The only down side - it's rather short. I wish there were more. Can't wait for the second part now. Also. I see what you did with the policecans and little bandits. Nice!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Neat little puzzler. Reminded me of Machinarium. Could have been longer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cute and visually pleasing game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A delightful point-and-click adventure likely inspired by Machinarium but offering its own unique, cute style. This game features a relaxing vibe, witty moments, and excellent sound design. The puzzles are just right—not too easy, not too hard. Definitely a must-play for point-and-click lovers
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a sweet little game. Very endearing characters and graphics, but far too frustrating for me to play. The game is in pictures, no language, so you do need to decipher the comic book like hints of what characters need, etc. It's just too frustrating for me to play through. Don't let my negative review deter you from playing this lovely game if you are into puzzles like this. I'm just not.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very enjoyable game, perfect for fans of Machinarium. Although some of the puzzles and unclear mechanics annoyed me, overall the game was a lot of fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hi, I really enjoyed this game. Beautiful art, some tricky puzzles and it had nice story line. The only thing I was a little disappointed about - how short it was. I wanted mooooore please :) Waiting for another one! Thank you
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love it. Absolutely delightful. Animation is wonderful. Puzzles are great. Some are head scratchers. Played the demo and enjoyed it very much. Great work on all aspects; graphics, sound, story, and length. I would like to see more by this team.

neutral · AI labelView post →just a really fun and short experience, puzzles are fairly fun and simple and it's seemingly in the style of machinarium but with brighter and unrusted visuals the city is clearly quite expansive but we only get to see a small part of it, so i would say the game is worth it despite how short it is
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game. Beautiful art, cozy gameplay, and very charming! A must have if you are into puzzle games.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I adore these kinds of games. So cute, perfect flow...although, I wish there was a hint system. Not that zero hints meant you could not figure it out, but some moments, I felt confused on where to go and what to do next. All in all, I enjoyed this game very much.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yah, a HUGE thumbs-down for this one. Sure, I love the hand-drawn art, and the way they try to convey ideas with pictures, so there is no worrying about language, and words, and translations, etc... However, this game is seriously flawed. *) NO way to show hotspots. Several times I couldn't make progress because I was required to interact with a specific portion of the screen, but there was absolutely no indication that it was "live". MANY times, the cursor changes from static to…
