Britannia is one of my favorite board games, and I'm happy to see it on Steam. Up to now the game runs well, but there are still some bugs. However, the main problem is that the AI is too terrible. TOO TERRIBLE. It's clear that the AI designer wants Blue to win every game. And actually, I have started many games with 4 AIs playing, and Blue wins 100% of those games. Romans never eliminate Belgaes. In over 95% games …

This is a great adaptation of the board game. Very playable and enjoyable even in early access. Pros: - Learn history through reading about the 17 factions in the game. - Easy to learn yet strategic enough to reward good planning - Runs great and has good tool tips and interface - AI isn't outstanding but is decent - Great for singleplayer - Access to a great board game design at a much cheaper price than a physical …

Having tried multiplayer, the main format most people would buy the game for, many times now, it still suffers from constant bugs, so much so that it's extremely rare for whatever group I'm with to get through a game. It crashes, someone is booted, and it's not possible to recommence. Very frustrating to end a game an hour in. If the developers were …

One of my favorite games and very addictive to play on Steam now. Very good implementation. No bugs or rules issued I can find. If you try to undo, sometimes it won't work, like undoing a retreat sometimes will not let you retreat again. Works well solo against 3 bots, pass and play with 0-2 bots, and multiplayer solo. The AI does not offer any real challenge, makes some bad choices and definitely can't work …

I played the Avalon Hill board game version of this over 35 years ago and still have it. This is a very faithful adaption of the board game, though of a slightly later version (more Leaders, yellow vs. purple faction, Saxon burghs). I'm playing with an idea for something non-genre set mid-1990s, which led me to listening to some playlists from the period, but if I'm going to have to listen to some of this shit for detail, fuck this for a game of soldiers. It nearly killed me with Rue Britannia, and I was a stronger man then.

Okay, I hate to do this, but this game was absolutely not for me in its current form and even at an Early Access reduced price, it was a waste of money. Why? Well, let me start by saying are some things I do like - map based, historical, turn based strategy all gets a thumbs-up from me. It covers forces that clashed in Britain from the Roman invasion to the coming of the Normans, with several factions based on the historical nations during that period. This appeal to me and it seemed exactly…

Residents say the heat in the affected flats sent children to hospital, with one woman telling us her two-year-old son collapsed.

*Blascona* is what Adam of Bremen names the *civitas* of 11th-cent. Orkney bishops. In my Malcolm book it is suggested that early episcopal organisation in Orkney survived the 'Viking Age'. Also, while doing this research I managed to get Blascona included in the computer game Thrones of Britannia.

The AI is still woefully poor at the game, but for trying out strategies before a 'real' game it's fine. Unfortunately the multiplayer feature is entirely broken and unplayable. This was always my main concern with the idea of a Total Warhammer 40k game. You can't manage the scope of the universe. Not in any meaningful way. So you cut it down to a 'Saga' game, like Thrones of Britannia, where you won't sell as many Marine DLCs... or you water down the universe.
