What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 181 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (1,302 of 1,476 positive).
Players praise the bundle for its nostalgic value and solid collection of classic beat 'em ups. [1][2][3] Some reviewers note the emulation is basic and missing popular titles like Alien vs. Predator. [4][5][6] A few players criticize Capcom for adding DRM after purchase, affecting performance. [7][8]

Capcom adding DRM after purchase when it wasn't disclosed on the store page should be against store policy. If Valve doesn't have a policy against this they should. I will never buy another Capcom published title and I'm going to have to consider if I can even trust buying anything on Steam anymore if they allow this to happen.

a nostalgic treasure trove for arcade fans, offering seven classic side-scrolling brawlers in one package. With crisp emulation, local/online co-op, and a rich art gallery, it's a must-have for retro enthusiasts—simple, satisfying, and packed with punchy fun.

KAMGUSTA'S MINI REVIEW It's a compilation (run by an official emulator) of famous (and less famous) coin-ups from the '90s: - Armored Warriors - Battle Circuit - Captain Commando - Final Fight - Knights of the Round - The King of Dragons - Warriors of Fate The games are still fun (they all use, more or less, the same engine), but their emulation is very basic (no upgrade to graphics, no new features). There is …

Missing AvP... that is the only negative about this bundle.

So Capcom would do well to do AT LEAST another volume of there beat 'em ups. The Punisher, Alien vs Predator, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, and any other obscure titles they have in their vaults. CMON CAPCOM!!!

The beat 'em ups mentioned play wildly different from one another if you're actually trying to survive on 1 credit.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →On February 3rd 2026 Capcom released an update that removed Denuvo, a DRM which requires a costant internet connection, and replaced it with the Enigma Protector. This DRM is supposed to prevent "cheating" (any kind of modding of the game) and it's russian developed. Tested by the Youtube channel Digital Foundry in the video "Resident Evil 4 PC: Is New DRM Impacting Game Performance?" has been found that the Enigma Protector DRM causes an average of -10% in framerate drops, with dips of -40%…

neutral · AI labelView post →An arcade brawler that, until its release as part of the Capcom Beat 'em Up Bundle, had slipped into the mists of arcade history. ARMORED WARRIORS! I adore arcade brawlers (especially Capcom's) as they're my favourite overall arcade game genre, and AW remains one of the best.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Capcom adding DRM after purchase. Sneaky bastards!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are serious about clearing beat em ups, especially Final Fight, unfortunately I would need to recommend Capcom Arcade Stadium over the Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle. (Note that both have the incorrect default dip switch settings, but this is easily fixed by setting them yourself) The reason is input latency. You can achieve lower input lag in Stadium by turning off V-sync and extra visual effects. It gets really close to the arcade lag (i have the Final Fight arcade board, I'm a bit…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →enigma drm, blah blah blah f**k capcom.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →AHAHAHAHA!!! I don't need 20 bucks every time I want finish each of these games anymore!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As of 11 January 2024: Capcom is planning on re-introducing DRM (via Enigma Protector) to combat mods and cheat engines. Do not buy any Capcom games until they reverse their decision.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You know you've already spent more than the cost of this game in the quarters that you plopped into the arcade versions of these titles back in the day. Just buy it all ready! *puts down a quarter to balance on the edge of the cabinet* I got next.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Right, so Capcom has officially become a worse company than Konami. How, you might ask? Simply put, Konami doesn't give two ♥♥♥♥♥ about you and your desires for a game franchise, but they at least let you play the games you've already bought, and even mod them as you please to extend the life of the game. Capcom has somehow decided that mods will ruin their reputation. I assume some hyper-religious useless twit of a corporate officer took offense to the various nude mods for RE 4. Twit: "Oh,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Capcom... You have done it. You have once again Flushed all the good will you had been restoring and flushed it all away. I will not install any of your games with any of the Virus laden DRM. Stealth adding them is beyond the pale. Never will I install these again.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the games are fun, but what about The Punisher beat'em up.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A lot of nostalgia here, but nonetheless the games are amazing. Would love to see a Beat' Em Up Bundle 2 with Final Fight 2, Final Fight 3 and X-Men Mutant Apocalypse!!!

neutral · AI labelView post →Unlike other collections of retro arcade games that I have, Capcom Beat ’Em Up Bundle evokes the least nostalgia in me. Of the seven games in the collection, I only recall playing one of them, that being Final Fight. Even then, I’ve played more Final Fight on the Super Nintendo than at the arcade. This game collection highlights how cookie-cutter Capcom’s belt-scroll beat ’em up titles were. Built upon the design template that originated with Final Fight, all seven games play similarly – with…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The King of Dragons was also ported to the SNES in 1994 with a few tweaks to make it home (such as reducing the three-player co-op to two). It would also reappear in collections like the Capcom Beat 'em Up Bundle in 2018, spreading Gildiss' love to heroes in a new generation.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Capcom should update and remove the online pvp icon on the steam page if there isn't. It's a kind of click bait if i just want to buy one of the game from this bundle instead of Capcom Arcade Stadium which is much much cheaper. How could i get a refund then?

positive · AI labelView post →I only bought this collection for Battle Circuit, but everything else here is pretty good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pretty solid collection of some of Capcom's best and lesser known entries in the beat em up genre. Final Fight is a classic and is what set the standards for Beat em ups, like Golden Axe and Streets of Rage. It's still a very fun game with a memorable soundtrack and roster of characters that'd later make their way into the Street Fighter series. Captain Commando like Final Fight is also a classic. Most people know him for his appearances in Marvel vs Capcom, but his game is very fun and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →4/10 hasnt aged well or been ported very well
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Final Fight is my favorite game, so I'm pissed at Capcom for messing it up. I almost refunded it... - emulation has no smoothing, such as the basic bi-linear blur filter I was expecting (they are present on the other Capcom arcade bundles) - the "filters" cause a bad shimmer when scrolling, making them unusable - in game menu navigation is broken once you select an option (it disables the wrong menu option, instead of the option you just selected) stuff like this that takes like a day to…

All games can be played in local and online co-op and are also available in both the western and Japanese versions.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good for nostalgic games time. Final Fight is my favourite. I recommend this arcade bundle...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →5 Point review 5 pros and 5 cons. Thumbs up or down is just my personal like or dislike of the game. Pro Very nice varied collection of beat em ups. Pixel graphics with filter options. Some games have gameplay depth with basic moves and character differences. Online co-op along with local makes this a great party game. Excellent customization options for controls and difficulty. Con Extra features is bare bones. Achievements are super basic. Most of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's a fine collection, but the real reason to get it is armored warriors and battle circuit. it's nice that the other titles are included for the sake of availability, but the other two are the real highlight. battle chaser plays great and lets you pull off some nice stuff, and armored warriors has an insanely cool system of using parts broken from other robots. personally i don't care much for some legacy offerings (side eyeing you, final fight) after playing more recent beat em ups, because…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another great bundle from Capcom. Amazing lineup of classic beat'em up games with high replay value!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game doesn't let you to play with a joystick and a keyboard (player 1 and 2) at the same time. I recommend anyone to find another way to play these games if you don't have 2 controllers.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A barebones collection of snes ports of low-rent beat-em-ups from the early 1990's. Really falls apart when playing solo (good luck finding someone to play with) and these are jsut not the best versions of these games even if you don't mind playing second rate examples of the genre. It's still amusing to me thought that in order to allow a nearly naked woman as an enemy to be beaten up, capcom claimed these female enemies were "crossdressers." Which reminds me of how star wars was able…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent ports, which is a pleasant surprise from Capcom. Settings for each game are easily accessed from the main menu. Nice selection of filter options, or none at all if you prefer. Every controller I've tried works perfectly and I'm not noticing any input lag (well, King of Dragons has a bit but that's how it was on the PCB, too). Everyone buy this so Capcom springs for ports of the rest of their licensed beat-em-ups!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Whats not to like? Grew up playing these games as a kid, sneaking off to the arcade as my parents went shopping. Bonus was finding the loose change between the couch cushions LOL
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The only reason I bought this game was to play it with my brother locally. My brother likes to play with a keyboard and I with a controller. However, for some absurd reason, this is not possible. So it was a useless purchase, but I'm still gonna keep it in my library in case I stumble upon a cheap controller which I could buy. Of course, this is guesswork too. I don't know if it supports local co-op with 2 controllers or not. We tried to be smart and added 2 keyboards to this computer but that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too bad nobody's there to play online anymore. Anyway, it's still a nice collection of classic beat'em-ups for local co-ops
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've truly enjoyed only 2 of the 7 games listed here, but they are so good that they justify this collection and my recommendation. Below, I rank all of the titles from best to worst, in my opinion. 1) Armored Warriors (1994): the best game in this collection. Its pixel art is impressively complex and captivating. Gameplay is pretty intricate, with a system that allows swapping robot parts to activate new abilities. It is one the best beat 'em ups I've ever played. 2) Captain Commando (1991):…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great mix of games and a cool drop in online function that gives that arcade feel. The museum is a nice touch too. A good history lesson in a box.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ICYMI the latest Podouken episode goes in-depth on Capcom's last arcade beat 'em up, Battle Circuit. The game is often overlooked in the US because it was only released in Europe & Japan and didn't receive a home port until 2018 as part of the Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle.

neutral · AI labelView post →Input feels decent. Only 1 savestate per game. Not much extra stuff or settings, but you get 7 fun games in playable quality for a good price. I payed only 9.99€ on sale, but would argue that this collection is actually worth buying for 20€ too. Sadly i wasnt able to find any lobbies online yet, so i cant speak on how well online multiplayer works (but it seems very dead, so dont expect much). The games themselves are all pretty fun and there is a good diversity. My favorites were Warriors Of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't like DRM in my games, capcom, also there are only TWO sexes and they're called MALE and FEMALE, not body types.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First game I beat was Final Fight as this is was one I played in the Arcades long ago. I'd recommend this "Bundle" to anyone familiar with these games. Runs well on Steam Deck (12/24/2023)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Alright, proper review time. First, I got this (even though I already could play the games with the Arcade Stadium) because I didn't want to just say "get X cos it's better" even though lots of ppl were saying that. Because, as expected, which way you get these old games greatly impacts your ability to enjoy them. Do you want to be able to play online? Get this bundle. Wanna get these games for cheap(er)? Get the stadium(s) on sale. Lots of people have probably said that in reviews for this and…
