From the start it looked like the best thing ever! I absolutely love lo-fi sci-fi, I loved the graphics, the sound, the sense of loneliness. I loved everything, and was ready to praise the game, but then I moved to later stages. It gives you more and more distance to cover to the next objective, but gives no new content. Worth the sale price in my opinion. The game is not very long, but the feeling of being completely lost and having no idea where to go or what to do was amazing. Claustrophobic, yet atmospheric. Very simplistic. Open to interpretation. If that isn't your cup of tea, steer clear. Otherwise appreciate this game for what it is :)

A little gem of a game. I was surprised at how effective it was with how little it actually gives you. It really sold me on the whole "I'm about to die in the middle of the deep sea", and I kept wanted to get to the next post to see how the story would develop. Grab your headphones and immerse yourself in a very atmospheric experience.

Capsule is a narrative-driven game about a stranded astronaut trying to get home. The gameplay is delivered through a radar screen. It is ostensibly a first person game: you play as the astronaut, who is sealed inside the cramped capsule, and navigates with the radar screen to pick up reserves of air and fuel while evading enemies, always trying to reach a space station. Pros: Spooky atmosphere. Feels like I am driving an escape pod from the Nostromo. Tight controls. No tutorial level. The…

Immersion is a tricky thing to get right, but when it works it can take a game much further than the gameplay alone. CAPSULE is an excellent example of this, because the presentation really carries the short and simple content. You play an unnamed spaceman stuck in a titular capsule, stranded in the depths of space. You have dwindling air and power supplies, and must find your way to curious outposts to survive and uncover the mysterious circumstances unfolding in the area. Along the way you'll…

I found this to be a somewhat unique little game. In some ways I consider it a combination of a sci-fi / puzzle / horror type of game. Watching a wavy radar-monitor screen while piloting something like an underwater mini submarine, or "Capsule", and there is an almost constant sense of tension as air and power can quickly deplete along with other lurking dangers hiding in the murky depths. You’re kind of dumped into the game and left to figure out what to do or what the heck is going on, but…

Very atmospheric. Feels a bit like playing an old game from the pre-console era. Haven't played much of it yet, but was immersed enough during my quick test of the game to forget to go out for 10 minutes before realising I was late. I suspect people around the age of 30 will appreciate this game most, for the nostalgia. Staying alive in-game doesn't seem to be particularly difficult.

Capsule is a very minimalistic game. All you have to work with is the radar screen, which gives you vision around you, your scan ability, which allows you to find your objective, hazards, power vents, and air pockets, and the sound of your breathing. All these initially boring-sounding elements actually combine into a rather compelling game experience, really capturing the nervous feel of being low of air in a tiny cramped space. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=328851622

The initial concept of CAPSULE is very simple but the execution is where it shines. The game does an excellent job with the atmosphere and immersion. They aren't joking when they say that if you have anxiety trigggers then this game might not be for you. What should be a simple matter of managing your resources has some very surprising refinements and is complicated by the way the world reacts to you, the subtle signs, sounds and behaviours. There is that very strong tension that comes from…

I like what the game is trying to do by reducing gameplay to such a core minimalist experience but after failing a couple of times due to lack of supplies and an attack which left me with no power and to wait it out until I died from lack of oxygen, I felt no desire to try again and just repeat that same basic experience over and again for such little reward. The supplies you need seem random which means your success or failure is too. Those supplies also do not seem permanent, as soon as they…

An interesting little concept, but in execution the game winds up being the definition of 'unfun'. Balancing your craft's oxygen and power levels is interesting, but the amount of pointless detritus your scanner picks up means success or failure is ultimately random. To make things even worse, the game lacks the ability to restart when you do fail.

Wow, to think such a simple, familiar concept could be executed so well. Have a few bucks burning a hole in your pocket? Capsule isn't a AAA title, but don't let that fool you, this game has more substance than anything else I've played, spare for a few titles. Why? First of all, this game is a nostalgia trip. Think of all the great sci-fi and horror films of the 1960s-1980s mixed into one place, that being this game, Capsule. Capsule is a minimalistic survival horror game where you control…

Seems like it is showing its age I think, cuz it was a bit too repetitive and not as engaging as I would have liked. The mechanics just have you going further distances between each checkpoint and not much else, and the atmospheric story is pretty jumbled and hard to keep track of.

It's mostly luck. Later in the game you drive along, scanning for fuel and air and you're lucky if you find it and not a shrike. Shrikes cost you all your fuel but not your oxygen and there is no menu to quick restart. Decent idea. Flawed in execution. It really does start out pretty enjoyable, but quickly loses it's charm when the next station is a long way away and you have to keep starting over and over and over.

Nice concept, but aggravating very early 80s gameplay. This could have taken a clue from games such as Thirty Flights of Loving, and be about five times shorter. I also find myself on the other hand of the spectrum: RymdResa was labelled as relaxing while I found it stressful; I didn't experience any stress in this game that claims to be horrific. Rally-X with a guy suffocating in the background is still Rally-X.

Capsule is a very short (1 to 2 hours at most) immersive game that comes with quite a few warnings, and I can understand why. The developers warn anyone with claustrophobia, misophonia, or other similar phobias not to play the game. And why? Because this is truly one game best played in the dark. If I had to put it in a category, I’d say Capsule has a slight feel of a minimalist puzzle game; but the truth is, there’s really no puzzle to it – at least not gameplay wise. The story, however, does…

Trapped in a pod which is running out of air and fuel, racing to your next checkpoint, with only a sonar ping to see whats around you in order to avoid the many dangers outside the pod. This is a very fun and addictive game, if not a little frustrating at times. Game provides a great atmosphere both in visual style and sound, and had me on the edge of my seat many a time. I really had a great experience during my first play, and look forward to additional time with this game.

A cold, tense, and claustrophobic survival experience, with heavy elements of horror. It's not a long or complicated game, but it's a true experience - driving home the feeling of being a vulnerable intruder in a cruel place, protected only by a fragile contraption, and presented with two options: Find power and air, or die - suffocated by the machine intended to protect you. Totally worth the insignificant price. I'd particularly reccomend this game to survival fans looking for something new.

Gets worse the game goes on, as the distance you have to travel simply increases every time. This means the excitement and tension of finding oxygen and fuel just in time from the early game rapidly loses its luster. It soon feels like whether you succeed or not is out of your control as the player, and depends instead on the luck of what you find. And there's not much motivation to try again as by that point you're bored of the gameplay, and will only be rewarded with a few hard to read "plot"…

Capsule is an interesting game in which you are in some sort of submarine or tank or somesuch, and your only view of the outside world is via a CRT displaying RADAR data. It has a dark and lonely atmosphere, and playing in the dark with headphones and not talking to anyone enhanced my play experience.
