Players find Card Hog a fun, quick, and casual roguelike dungeon crawler. [1][2][3] Some reviewers note the game is simple but has depth and replayability. [4][5][6] A few players criticize the game as shallow or lacking strategic depth. [7][8][9]

Love the design, look, and feel. However strategically it is very rudimentary thus it didn't keep my attention for more than an hour and not planning to play it again. Feels like a game for kids. PROS - Pretty and visually smooth - Nice fluid controls and feel CONS - A bit shallow for a card game, needs some strategic or tactical depth - Kind of easy and repetitive, as i said it feels like it was made simple to be …

This is a great game when you just want to play something for 15 minutes. This is a card game but not one where you have a deck of your own and play cards on a field. Instead there is a grid of cards randomly chosen from enemies, weapons, healing potions, and more, and YOU are one of the cards! You move around the grid up, down, left, right by clicking on the card next to you that you want to go to. If there is an …

Great game for chilling when you only have time for short gaming sessions. While it is in early access, it's definitely worth playing even now. The game is cheap but still pretty high quality. It is polished even though its still being actively worked on by the dev. it is pretty simple to play and can be deceptively difficult if you just rush through blindly. I think the idea is really neat though to treat a card …

A simple yet unique card game where everything from the items you pickup to the enemies you slay are all cards in your deck that you can remove, add, or upgrade. The strange bosses and their spells as well as the many strange interactions between certain cards makes this game a blast to play and find a new secret or detail (the bull has a few fun interactions). The variety, while probably not gonna suck you in for a …

It's a nice, quick, casual, can-play-fast or take your time to develop a strategy, rogue-lite card battler/dungeon crawler. That may sound like nothing special, but it's done very well, it's still in Early Access and getting plenty of upgrades, and IT. HAS. PIGS.

I liked the part where they UNEXPECTEDLY played the game for 12 hours... and it was really DISAPPOINTING. Glad this refund went to CHARITY, of course. #gamedev #indiedev
negative · AI labelView post →small, but great rouge-like deck building game. You can unlock more skills and perks after defeat 5 different boss or other achievements during adventure. There are NPCs could upgrade your card or delete some enemy during adventure. The Dev still continue updating this game . It might be more fun in the future.

neutral · AI labelView post →This is a card-based dungeon crawler where you play as a hog. As you progress you unlock different hogs to play with who have different perks. I liked the flamemancer or whatever it's called. Playing the default game mode, "dungeon loop", you collect currency resources (gold and gears) mainly by defeating enemy cards, although there are a few other ways those resources will appear. The longer you last in the loop the more cards will show up including weapons, perks, skills, mini-bosses,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I quite like this game but despite having beaten the main campaign after a couple of hours, I really don't understand quite a bit of what is happening. There is a tutorial, at least there is something that is labelled tutorial. Clicking on it starts a round where essentially nothing is explained, just some hands pointing a some cards for a couple of turns. That's it. I managed to learn the basics and began to enjoy the game. However, so much is still unclear. There are some upgrades you can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Relaxed and challenging I suffer ADD and I stand and focus, playing during hours, with only a few games, and Card Hog is one of them.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Card Hog Android is still struggling to reach that magical $1/day which for a game of this quality is quite shameful, but that's how mobile is. The trend looks nice on graph, but it's just eCPM spike. I added a small cross promo banner to Bacon May Die, which should help.
neutral · AI labelView post →Ironically there’s no meat to it. Pick up weapon, hit enemy, head towards next weapon. There’s no real goal either you just sort of play for a bit until a stargate reset comes along.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10. Card Hog - part broughlike, part dungeon crawler, part brain burner. @snoutup.com's best game (which is saying something). i love how the swords flop around, and things poof into and out of view. i play fast and loose cuz i can get too sucked in if i slow down.
positive · AI labelView post →Card Hog is an incredibly simple and quick roguelike that plays similar to that 2048 mobile game. I'm typically against the roguelike genre as being lazy and repetitive, but this is just a basic experience that has tons of layered and unique moments that add to the goofy combat. It's cute, to the punch, and doesn't add slop or randomness for the sake of extending playtime.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Meh. Way too simplistic.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →gets boring reeeeally really fast
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a lovely game that you can pick up for a few minutes, put down, and pick up again later. It's still early days, but the game is already tons of fun, and the future roadmap looks even more promising. Highly recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →6.5/10 on the more basic side, but does get complex once you unlock more cards well still being kinda laid back + 6$ + basic reskin steam workshop + local co-op/VS + online co-op/VS
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You start on a 4 x 4 grid with a deck of 30 Ish cards. The deck is infinite, so the purpose of the cards is to improve your odds, like if you pick up a sword, then you’re more likely to get a sword the next time you burn a card which happens every time you move across the grid I can’t do this game justice and y’all should appreciate the fact that I am trying to type this out on my steam deck keyboard and it took me no lie five minutes to write that first paragraph and then spellcheck it. But…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun game, and definitely worth the low price! Even after beating it the first time, I replayed a few more times to see the different bosses that can randomly appear. The zombie game mode is pretty fun and the endless fire mode was worth a play through. I think the game has potential to do a lot more. If the developer is still making updates, I would recommend either increasing the overall difficulty or providing an optional harder mode. I would apply this to the extra game modes as well. I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →card hog is a roguelike dungeon crawler. while very basic, it actually provides a solid number of hours for a cheap price, especially i discount. not a lot to say more than that. definitely a fan of this developer, i've completed all of their games now as of 100%ing this one <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to mention this game in another review and saw I hadn't written a review for this one yet. You have lots of cards to collect, several games modes, multiplayer (which I didn't do) and a workshop to create your own cards. This is as good as I remember my first game in this genre. It only triggered a hunger for more of this. So, yes, a 'yes' from me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute and fast-paced roguelite dungeon crawler, which you can relax with in short sessions, or get lost in for a couple of hours.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Since there's not that many bots here yet, let me know if you would like a Steam 🔑 for my Card Hog game and follow so I could DM you it 🧡 store.steampowered.com/app/1163740/... #gamedev #indiedev

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sometimes easy, sometimes pretty difficult card-based game with the ability to upgrade weapons and fight various bosses. Pleasant almost-relaxing experience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had 100% Achievements, then they added the Final Boss. I played from my saved point, cleared a round, and met/defeated the Boss. Technically, I should have 200% Achievements now, right? Trigger warning:The slimes are total voraphiles
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →More of a phone app than a proper Steam game, but a nice game overall.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →for anyone who would like to start playing roguelike deckbuilders (like me), Card Hog is simply perfect for you! can't recommend this enough for its affordable price, flexible controls (mouse / WASD / arrow keys), simple tutorials and of course, the gameplay! truly a fun deckbuilder to immerse a few hours into your day, you meet unexpected enemies at every turn and awesome power ups with a variety of brave lil piggies! my favourite is Donny (donuts <3), my first (and only at the moment)…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Relaxing and funny dungeon crawler. Can take it anytime in small bites, or really sink your teeth into it. Just like bacon.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This isn't the deepest RL deck builder, but it's lots of fun. It's great when you're under the influence of multiple substances. The multiplayer sounds very intriguing, but I don't really have any friends so I haven't been able to try it. Either way, single player is is a nice quick paced casual romp through the RL paces. Although some things seem a big obtuse... I'm still not sure how they decide which card comes next or where it comes from.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I started this little game and 80 (EDIT: 113 minutes later) minutes later i had to stop myself because i still had things to do. This game wants you to play it, the time between runs is basically non existent the barriers to get right into it again super quick. The actual gameplay is fluid and as fast as you want to make it and actually has some depth to it. As you unlock cards the possibilities to stretch the run grow and creativity and attentive playing is rewarding. Finding the next step to…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic. At first it seems simple, and it is, but after a bit you realize this game is something special. Nothing quite like it to compare it to. A MUST buy for the asking price, and I will be adding this to the game list of " I must play this at least 2-3 times a day...everyday". It's that good. Can't wait for more. One of the best games I own under 5 bucks.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty illegible, but I feel that's the... point? I think. Got bored after a few rounds, and didn't feel compelled to come back.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros: - Steam Achievements - Low price - replay-ability - entertaining - Developer plans to add even more content - Co-op Cons: - None that I am aware of. Opinion: For the price this game is fantastic and could be easily marketed as a finished game the developer however is still working on it with plans to add even more. The game itself is a simple card based dungeon crawler with several different variations and challenges to play like endless dungeon crawl or zombie survival mode, for the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun game to vibe out with. Great price. Constant updates. Developer cares about the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Card Hog costs as much as a cup of coffee at most places. You can afford to skip a coffee once in a while to try a new game. Well I can't skip one but I already have Card Hog. Go try it out.
positive · AI labelView post →Fun and addictive game. DEFINITELY worth the price! The endless mode is fun to just zone out to (at least until you get too cocky and end up dying!). $5.99 is already a great price imo, and if you find it on sale cheaper, just get it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Card Hog is a delightful, dopamine-packed experience - really good way to unwind when you are stressed. The game’s hand-drawn cards are incredibly quirky and full of personality, each one bringing a unique charm to the gameplay. Whether it's a clever enemy or a powerful upgrade, the artwork really pops! It’s clear that a lot of love went into designing every cards. The gameplay itself is a wonderful blend of strategy, fun and cartoony violence. You’ll find yourself constantly planning your…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is OK. fun for a while. About 2 hours in and I feel like I've experienced the game. Needs more variety in each go. Different skills don't feel like they change the game enough. Doesn't quite satisfy the itch for a rouge like.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is without doubt the very best pig themed dungeoneering card game on Steam ! 10 / 10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What the eff, its got pig physics
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice one, can easily provide many hours of gameplay. Assuming the price, it's approximately 1000% value for money.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For 1€ it's worth it. Not that great but decent. 6/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been playing this on and off for weeks. It's such a good time-waster and I like that it's a card-collector and puzzle. It's adorable, has a pretty nonsensical story line, and multiple ways to play. Well worth the price in early-access.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game! 10 oinks out of 10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another great game from the guy who brought you Iron Snout. Simple, fun and slowly increasing challenge. This is an actually good casual game, something you don't see very often. It is a basic grid rogue-like card game with a randomized deck. When you move you either deal damage to the card next to you or you eliminate it (possibly taking damage depending on the case) then the cards slide and the blank slot at the end is filled with the next drawn card in the deck. It plays like a logical…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →art style is delightful, lots to unlock, games can run very very fast so good for quick play something about the gameplay leaves me a little unsatisfied, i dunno. it's fine, it's easy, but something seems missing. but that's just me. definitely worth it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is just plain old casual fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Card Hog is an amazing blend of simplicity and complexity where it counts. At first glance, this game deceives you into believing that you may already be a master at it and that you shall find this game quite easy. In fact, you may be very wrong. The art style is both inviting and cute, but it hides a greater truth that you will only discover once you've fallen down the rabbit hole. The mechanics of the game are easy to absorb and the game starts off holding your hand quite well, but once you…
