Cars: Spooky Halloween Adventure
It's Halloween night in Radiator Springs, and Lightning and his best friend Mater are enjoying the festivities at the annual spooky block party. But when Lightning gets bored of the flavored gasoline, roasted lug nuts, and jack-cone-lanterns, he convinces Mater to check out the old haunted garage on the edge of town. Will the two friends be brave enough to make it through the night without getting spooked? From TMDB

My little cousin was obsessed with the movie Cars as a little kid and now he’s all grown up, a mechanic, and does photography mostly of cars. Like he knew that was his thing as basically a baby!

neutral · AI labelView post →The multi storey car park in this film is in Watford, as I never tired of pointing out to people I showed round the town I grew up in. This was a film almost certainly seen by a young Gary Numan who I've always thought is cosplaying both JG and Gabrielle on the Cars picture sleeve.

Movie sound design. Music by Joe Kraemer, who composed Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation. Cars. Fights. Explosions. Romance. It’s all there!

neutral · AI labelView post →I'm gonna dread if the movie ends up being good (even if I do enjoy it) because Twitter's gonna be gloating about how Lasseter still got it, and why PIXAR has been sucking without him. It makes me hoping that his next directorial credit (Cosmic Motors, which is Cars in space) flops.

We can film fake gunfire scenes without needing to use blanks, which is much safer. There are intimacy coordinators. -We'll see if it lasts, but lithium seems very promising for Alzheimer's prevention

neutral · AI labelView post →#DendensMovieDen. No. 244. Cars. For almost a decade, it seemed Pixar could simply do no wrong and their films just kept getting better and better. But then the inevitable happened. Not that they announced a movie that was looking like it would definitely be their first real failure.

neutral · AI labelView post →Food, in both quality and variety, and ditto for beer. Plastic surgery works. White people live in cities again. AIDS ended. Home video formats don't ruin the movie. Cars are more comfortable, faster, and safer. Serial killing is effectively impossible. Almost everyone on Earth has major appliances.
neutral · AI labelView post →What's the Attraction?! DCA will reintroduce elements of Bountiful Valley Farm to Cars Land to tie into this movie. This includes a musical revue of the Cars characters singing songs from this soundtrack such as Mater doing "Hoedown Throwdown" as a Rednex-style electrodance bop.
neutral · AI labelView post →congratulations, you’ve written an awesome film treatment for a Cars prequel
neutral · AI labelView post →Something about the movie is very hypnotizing for kids like 2-5, I certainly didn’t intend to get my daughter into Cars but nevertheless we watched it everyday for like a year and a half (and she still requests it sometimes)
positive · AI labelView post →The unexpected Proustian power of, of all things, the song LIFE IS A HIGHWAY, transporting me back to the era of watching the awful animated film CARS endlessly
negative · AI labelView post →And even if Tangled or/and Despicable Me was nominated, Toy Story 3 would still win, especially 1. It was nominated for Best Picture as well. 2. It was the last acclaimed Pixar film until Inside Out even though Brave won between Cars 2 and Monsters University, both of which were snubbed.
neutral · AI labelView post →All of my nascar knowledge comes from the Pixar film Cars, so when we went to the nascar hall of fame this weekend, I was most excited to see Lightning McQueen 😅 Also apparently "The King" is a real dude (Richard Petty) and the film character is his car and he does the voice.
neutral · AI labelView post →I drove the length of Route 66 in Arizona and wrote about it. I quote John Steinbeck, Robert Penn Warren and … “Cars.” Yes, the Pixar movie. All seem appropriate and important. I enjoyed this trip and I enjoyed writing about it. There’s a link in the comments where you can read it. I hope you will!

If you are interested in keeping people safe on our streets, I'd suggest you watch City of Cars instead of GMB. vimeo.com/1203509441
neutral · AI labelView post →The third vignette in Paweł Pawlikowski's historical triptych is another searching travelogue. Characters who can't remain still due to the mid-20th century. Cars in the rain, walks in sun, never reaching home, restless for heimat and escape. A film told by a camera gazing at faces, focused on eyes.
neutral · AI labelView post →For instance, in elementary school, Mr. Johnston once told me that Emancipation was like if the president made all the cars illegal, and so all the people who had cars they'd invested in would be 'understandably mad'. Which would not be dehumanizing if the Cars were from that fucking Pixar movie.
neutral · AI labelView post →See, the thing is though, all of these things are designed with some kind of running hours in mind. If a car is used more, it'll wear our faster so it's either using it a lot in a short time or less in a long time, its utility ends up being the same so there's no direct gain from not letting it sit idle. That's why passive robotaxis are a pretty dumb idea. But yes there are things that really only wear out from time spent existing. A pencil's lifespan is purely defined from its use, a cast…

And, honestly, the whole series is seriously well done. Like, we've done family re-watches and my late-teens still love it.
positive · AI labelView post →Every time I go to Disney's California Adventure park, I wonder what small kids think of the Cars Land area. It's gotta be such a mindfuck to see a fake 3D world from a software-based movie come to real life, I wonder if kids really know how wild it all is to walk around inside that kind of space.
neutral · AI labelView post →Cars is a pretty okay movie. Haven't seen 2 or 3. But the best thing about Cars is it was the basis for CarsLand/"Route 66" in Disney California Adventure. youtu.be/O1F7cryHV9o?...
