What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 66 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Mixed (94 of 135 positive).
Players appreciate the game's dark story, atmosphere, and character designs. [1][2][3] Many reviewers criticize that choices do not significantly impact the outcome. [4][5][6] Some players find the main character annoying and forced into the party. [7][8][9]

The game boasts 50 unique paths, but doesn't tell you they're all functionally identical. Combat is boring. Plot is boring. No interesting developments. Yeah, with some work you can get your favorite character to not die, but the BIG choice about who survives is basically roulette (you get 4 pieces of junk, each character gets 1, only one will allow a person to survive). The biggest ♥♥♥♥♥ in the game is the only …

I beat the game, but at what cost? Honestly, it was a very fun game. I think it WOULD have been fun if the main character wasn't who she was. Her personality was awful and I wanted to kill her but the game made her stick around because of her boobs... I'm not even kidding. I just wish she was more bearable.

Decent game for the price. Combat is pretty vanilla as far as turn based old school Final Fantasy feel goes, not hugely intuitive and playing on harder difficulty can feel unfair sometimes. As far as story and atmosphere are concerned, its interesting to say the least. Decent spin on you just watching adventurers interact while you are indirectly guiding events, and eveyone has a fairly established personality, …

I just finished the game. I liked it, it was a fun little adventure. I like the characters really, they are likable, funny entertaining. love the store how everything is a mystery, you have no idea where you are, how you got there, you just have to listen to one voice to get out. But this is another of those *choices* games where they trick you that you can have many yet you still only have 1 end. Example: You see a …

I played this game out of Steam, so don't pray attention to my time of playing here. I don't usually play stories that dark (I prefer lighthearted RPG maker games) but this one has such good atmosphere and character designs and writing, I really had a great time playing it ! Also the fact that you can decide of which characters will get out alive or not change the end of the game, so it had replayability.

neutral · AI labelView post →Not what I expected. I chose to go story mode on the short time I played this and it plays just like any standard RPGmaker game. Story Mode has easier battles but I feel like the 'story' was lacking. I understand they were trying to go with 'gritty' or 'dark' with moral decisions but in truth? I just didn't care. None of the characters were particularly compelling and the few characters I actually liked turned out to be ones I had to decided to either kill or not. Unfortunately I didn't…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This RPGMaker game is different. For one, it seems to start like a Saw movie, in that not everyone can get out alive... and you have to choose who dies, in some cases... The plot is interesting enough. The gameplay is... RPGMaker standard. And the characters are vibrant... so much so that some of them you want the opportunity to "off"... stupid princess... Anyway, it is more than worth the price...

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hey, three cute girls! That should make the game worth playing, right? In a matter of minutes I was intensely bored, even though I usually like RPGs. Then there was a moment when a character said something like "communism is bad. Every leader from the left is a liar" and the PCs talk about how obvious that is. Wow. Really? Unfounded, hostile political opinions in the middle of a medieval RPG? Just wow. I'm out.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty boring game that fools You with the title and dialogues into thinking that Your choices matter. They don't, big spoiler: at the end of the game only 1 character survives despite many choices that fool You into thinking if You could save other characters. Level design and story are boring after You know Your choices don't matter that much. You have to backtrack through many areas which just makes the game longer. The description says the game has "great replayability" but after…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For the cheap price it's sold for, it's hard to not recommend this game. And yet, despite the nuance in some dialogue between each replay, there just isn't a lot of different stuff going on during a replay. It largely follows the Telltale Games' School of CYOA, in which most of the choices are forced and scripted, leaving a rather unsatisfied experience should you want to get rid of certain ♥♥♥♥♥♥ characters. It makes for a decent experience replaying the game a second time if you're bored and…

When we were going through our separation, I found myself lost and miserable. I was self destructive. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this game. Sadly, it falls in to the trap of so many other "choices matter" games. The choices don't really matter; there's only one real ending. Make no mistake, the game's got plenty of other weaknesses, but the core concept was compelling to me; and I liked the idea of your decisions determining if the characters made it out or not. The mystery element of the story adds a compelling weight to every decision the characters must make, however trivial. The dialogue is a…

neutral · AI labelView post →The game itself had a lot of potential, but because the main character was mostly just foul mouthed brute with a superiority complex, I was greatly disappointed that she couldn't be killed off allowing for one of the others to take charge. Because of her, I simply don't want to play multiple times to find out if there is a reason for it all. Being forced to go on a journey with her multiple times is a punishment I don't hate myself enough to accept. Other hand: The puzzles were nice, the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →RPG Maker strikes again! Choose Wisely is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ironically, there is not so many choices. It feels very restricted and linear. And finished the game and now I can say that it may be one of the worse games I ever finished.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For a game that brags about choices, it's annoying how it forces you to keep the most annoying character in the game in your party. Literally every other party member can die except for her, and you'll grow to HATE her over the entire game, as not only is her personality annoying as hell, she's also the weakest character gameplay-wise. I'm almost at the end of the game, and there's a boss that reflects every single skill in the game, resists every element, kills my party members every time I…

With that out of the way, this is a game where your decisions don't matter as much as you think later on ( especially the first ones ),but the gameplay, world building and puzzles are well made. The characters, despite the lack of romance, are( generally ) well written. You'd think the story would have romance or even a harem since the starting group is one guy and three hot girls, but no.Quite the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like most games who advertise "choices that matter", they offer choices that don't matter at all. I played it twice, I almost died of boredom the second time. Even more because the second time I chose the difficulty mode "Story", expecting to get quickly to the end. But that's not exactly the case and it still take a couple of hours. Also, as the evil guy said "boobs". Would not recommend.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The story wasn't really interesting and the characters felt bland, which is why I couldn't really get into the decisions that this game asks you to make. Otherwise the game seemed ok'ish RPGmaker game. Didn't find the game very enthralling so can't recommend.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game on a big discount via coupon and I still feel gypped. The story is terrible, double-so the ending. There's no real reason to care about any of the characters involved. Don't go thinking there's any real 'replayability' as the store page claims either, doing so would only be a tedious slog.

The story was interesting enough, and I only paid like a dollar for it and spent 10 hours playing; Maybe i'll play again some other time if i'm bored.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has great characters (boobies), it was a bit painful to get through especially with that annoying machine boss, the difficulty to walk around certain areas, passages are hard to see however the story is what kept me going, it's very intriguing but it could use a bit more scenes and clarifications since the story was still a blur. I was a bit disappointed to see that the endings were almost the same with not much difference. I hope to see a much improved chapter 2 with more details to…

I bought it using a coupon I got from crafting my nekonin game badge. So, this is a short RPG about some characters with different personalities and backgrounds trapped out of nowhere in a mysterious dungeon. The choice you make along the game will decide which may live and die. For those who just want to enjoy the story, there's the casual mode. If you seek more…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A game where the player wakes up in a castle without knowing how he got there, where he will have to make choices and fight monsters to get out of there. The story of the game did not find anything special which disappointed me a little, despite the layout of the maps I find quite interesting. There are several achievements to do where the player will have to repeat the game if he wants to have 100%.

To be concise, the game could be much better if the developers chose wisely. The idea of the main plot is good and it was interesting to play to reach the final.
