Man, I do like the visuals and game-play. But, I just cant love it as much as I would. as a woman. I feel there's so many big titted, young pretty woman and... so many old men or average or unkept or ugly men. And even the best looking man- doesn't compare to the beautiful women. Okay, I've been having a lot of fun with this so I'll make a small list of brutally honest pros and cons Pros: The soil system: it's the first farm sim I've played where you actually have to worry about chemical levels and soil type and I find it so interesting. I'm used to just dropping seeds and that's that so I can be a bit "Ugh" when I have to find the right soil for a seed but it's made the farming aspect more …

LOVE IT!! Farming isn’t brain-dead — stuff like composting and soil actually matters and feels rewarding. The characters and story are way better than I expected. They feel real, not like empty NPCs, and you slowly get attached without forcing it. You can tell there’s real love put into this game. It honestly deserves way more attention than it gets. Also huge respect to the dev — you can tell they actually care …

It's great, but when it comes to the romanceables, it seems heavily catered towards men, because the options for women are pretty gnarly.

Okay farming game. Tldr; Toxic dev, gameplay is meh, features are unpolished. This becomes a negative review however for two major reasons: If this is your first game, Devs need to be open to criticism. The audacity that you must have to think your first creation will be a masterpiece is delusion levels rarely seen. This Dev refuses to take criticism when players have suggested things like "This part of the map feels empty and lifeless" One could say, "Okay I'll get to that soon" or "Right…

This game has potential, but it has chosen quantity over quality. There are SO many items, tools, and mechanics that it's hard to manage and is more stressful than relaxing. The world is huge, which I thought would be great, but it actually makes navigating around difficult and cumbersome. I have spent so much time just traveling back and forth between point A and B, and it's not enjoyable. This has also made the game pretty laggy, especially where there are lots of NPCs around. There are so…

I've loved farm games with life sim content since I was a kid. Therefore, I try to play almost every one in the genre. But Cornucopia leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The whole thing feels more like it was made exclusively for male fantasy. The bachelorettes are all hot, have big breasts, and look young. The bachelors are mostly old, fat, and generally rather unattractive. It feels more like no effort was put into the male bachelors and they just squashed a few in to make it sell better.

I finished the main quest of Cornucopia, and while the game is incredibly ambitious and has a charming visual style, it suffers from a deep identity crisis that ruins the experience for anyone looking for a true farming simulator. I want to emphasize that I see massive potential in this game. You can truly feel that the developer put a lot of love and passion into creating it. My criticism comes strictly from a place of wanting to see it succeed, because the foundation is there, it just…

There looks to be undisclosed use of AI-generated text for some of the characters. An example that looked fishy to me: “Welcome! The Water is calling your name. To be honest, it was easier to get into Cornucopia than into Stardew Valley which I think is a great thing. There is no real time pressure, except for some optional quests on the board but you can still manage those easily. From the villagers, there is someone for everyone, young or old as they are diverse each with their own stories and events. You even get a few dialogue choices which adds to the RPG feeling. Cooking, farming and combat aren't difficult, which makes the game cozy while also…

Hate to do this, because it seems there is a lot of love in this game, but there's just a lot of odd choices. 1. almost no guidance - you're dropped off unceremoniously on your farm after the intro with a single quest "meet people" and then from there, you just go off and are left to fend for yourself. The problem is the game has a ton of different systems that are very confusing to sort through. Cards, some special fruit you're supposed to collect, soil quality, etc. On the first day I had…

In the romance options roster we have 5 gray/white hairs old dudes and only one white hair old woman, 2 fat guys and no fat ladies. It's like they realized that when they were creating the NPCs that they made a bunch of dateable hot girls and realized that they were going to have to equalize the gender ratio, so they just put in the male characters that already existed, regardless of what it was like. Feels fair and genuine enough, right? LMAO Edit: that being said, the devs are active in…

Thumbs down for the uh, subpar character writing/events. It's very...2013 Tumblr-like in a way that seems to surgically maximize the amount of time I spend groaning and/or facepalming. Unfortunately that's such a major part of this kinda game that it's more or less put me off of the rest, which actually seems quite good, if a little bit slapdash. I will say also, credit to the dev(s) for being one of the more responsive I've ever seen on here.

This game clearly has a vision, but the execution falls short in several key areas. Right from the start, the game throws a massive amount of items at you; instead of feeling like a wealth of options, it’s just overwhelming and lacks a proper learning curve. The exploration also feels like a chore. Traveling across the town is tedious and lacks any meaningful interaction, making the world feel empty rather than immersive. While there is a story, my character feels like a passive observer…

Cornucopia has potential but floods the player with events and items. I started the game with interest since I like farming games and this one looked promising. There is a little sequence that introduces you to your new life, you get handed some starting gear and then head to your farm and start a new life. Sounds good right? As soon as you venture off to explore the nearby town it starts to flood you with events of villagers, and I would've been ok for the introducing scenes to be like that,…

I'm pressing "Yes" on recommending this game because of the promise it very clearly has, and the fact that it's EA, so it's very possible that much of its issues can be fixed. I wouldn't personally recommend this game for a majority of people. I think if you REALLY loved SDV and would settle for a good bit less than what it offered, this game should suffice. I think a pros/cons + comparisons is best here. The game I'll be using as a comparison is, of course, Stardew Valley. Sorry for the long…

The game has some good qol, doesn't waste your time like other games honestly. I REALLY respect and appreciate that. This is such a good game, maybe my favorite farming sim. So many excellent quality of life features, including: 1. Saving at any time. 2. Bottomless inventory (if you can't carry it, it magically is transported to your home shed). This is huge to me--I hate spending half of my time managing inventory). 3. Easily sortable inventory. 4. Likable character design, nice graphics, thats my only positive comment.. intro was odd.. you froze in a cave when the townfolk find you, though your character model isn't there when that happens (at least not for me?), so it kinda seems like the town is just talking to themselves playing make belief for a bit. The game feels like a huge playground. It's been a while where a cozy game just felt different. It feels like a lot of good ideas from Stardew, with changes on how they want the game to play. It feels different, but all familiar. The world is enjoyable, the characters are as well. I will be playing more, but honestly, for a genre that has been making some lackluster titles, and nothing anywhere close to Stardew, I can say that this stands out as something great in the genre.

I tried, but the controls are just so clunky for controller. The hit boxes do not line up well, leaving you to just kinda run around mashing buttons hoping something will register eventually, and that's when the buttons work at all, unless you want to very carefully attempt to line up everything. The cursor hand also kept drifting upwards for some reason. The map is dull and just random garbage strewn around everywhere. Very fun farming simulator, the game has many people who you can date. However the favorite items of every character are randomized each play-through. So your best bet in raising affection is to just start farming and when you make enough money buy food for their characters as gifts until they tell you their favorite items. It's not often you get a team that cares. A lot of indie games these days are unfinished cash grabs. Not this one. The characters all have personalities, a good age range of love interests (As a grown woman I like to be able to pick grown men, not young adults). The game play is fun, there is plenty to do, and updates keep on coming.

This is one of the most uniquely bizarre yet fun farming sims I have ever played, and it is criminally underrated. Its Charm The player runs a farm in a small town with a lot of weird little mechanics to mess around with. The farming and ranching are similar to other games in the genre, but it’s the random little weird events and encounters that make the game feel special. Random things just keep happening. A door to a magical dimension might suddenly appear out of nowhere. Random cutscenes…

The game has been great so far! It's a little fast-paced, but I've read that the developers are working on an update for that. They've been very active with the players and have pushed out a ton of updates, so it's nice to see a great game get even better. I can't wait to see what more the developers do with it because so far it's basically stardew valley on steroids, its everything I wanted and more.

Received this key in exchange for covering the game on stream -- ended up playing for 8 hours straight (and about to play more!) This is a very underrated game-with-farming-elements, you can farm as little or as much as you want like with most games in this genre. There's a ton of freedom, mini-games, very cute characters, and the mix of 2D and 3D works better than expected. The initial view of the camera/view may turn you off, but this can be quickly changed in the menu. I personally…

A good game that takes a lot of inspiration from Stardew Valley, but adds to it in ways that makes the concept new: The 2.5D presentation allows for some verticality and simple platforming elements. (also: camera tilt/zoom + focus depth) You can ride mounts and bring animal allies with you on adventures. It's loaded with minigame activities (although most could use some polish, and some could use a lot). There are loads of characters, and in my view they're more compelling than in SV.…

I realized I hadn't left a review for this awesome game yet, and I was honestly surprised. So here goes: Cornucopia is a super fun game! So much detail and love has been put into this game that it's crazy! The developer David is super responsive to the community and ACTUALLY LISTENS when he receives feedback how to improve the game! The content he pushes out is always quality, and he's super devoted to squashing bugs continuously unlike some other studios *cough cough* Pixel Sprout *cough*.…

I can't stand the graphics. I play Minecraft and Stardew Valley without any problems, but this game has graphics so atrocious, I had to force me to even try for a 3/4 hour to play it. I think it has a lot of interesting features, like skills for many farming activities, using pets as workers and/or fighters, a complete system where the soil consists of different materials and you can/must modify the soil for your plants. I saw these things just in under an hour of playing, I am pretty sure…

This game is being slept on. I wanted way to long to get it. Best tutorial I've ever seen, doesn't break the world to tell you space is jump, and isnt in a dream world. Edit: this game is still being slept on but the first few hours feels like I got hit by a truck I dont want to spoil anything so Im just gonna leave things vague. it's not like the first few hours of any other farming game I've played. I went from planting my first wave of seeds to being interupted by a threat made by my dog,…

Played a bit of it before, its the game with one of the funniest/best intros/mini-tutorials. Performance is good. It feels a bit overwhelming basically in the first 20 minutes you will have like 20 different items. Maybe a storage box to sort them would help and when you sort your inventory to not always remove the items in your hotbar?

There is a lot to discover in Cornucopia! From the very beginning the farm features add a unique style of growth by adding the soil types (NPK). The mines were a little confusing at first but otherwise solid groundwork and lots of adventures to be held in this small town!
