What's here is fun, although there is very little and it won't take long to max everything. The problem is the developers have scammed us. Let me explain. This game leaves a lot to be desired but for less than 1 euro it's okay. Shame the developer left it in early acess and released it as it is. There are a few bugs here and there, nothing too serious. The biggest problem is the lack of content. With only 3 maps, 5 characters and the overall repetitive grindy nature it's definitely not for everyone. On the flipside it doesn't take that long to beat.

A fun Vampire Survivors like with a hub town that lets you spend resources to determine precisely which how your skills evolve in future runs. It's also interesting that runs are completed once you achieve the goals you set for yourself at the start of the run with more difficult goals giving you a bigger multiplier to the resources you gathered on your current run.

Haven't played much and only tried the one class (Huscarl) but it's off to a great start! I was playing on the Steam Deck too and it worked fine. Promising beginning, I like the challenges mechanic where you only stay in a level until you've completed the challenges then you get your rewards and go back to town to spend them. Looking forward to seeing how it develops!

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I could've write a good and positive review, but I'm tired of writing it, so no... What's wrong? The developer did exactly the same thing with his game and now sells it to full price. It was said that in the future there will be 8 unique characters and 5 levels in total. Guess what, now you have only 5 characters and 3 levels, and the last level feels unfinished and slightly unbalanced if compared to others. It's not impossible, but because of some groups of enemies that can drop your hp from…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another VS clone with great premise but launched 1.0 out of nowhere and didnt deliver what it promised. I'll change my review when they gave everything they showed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not for me. It got released in early access way too early imo, and there's barely any content to play through. Extremely bare bones. It feels very janky, the animations looks unfinished, no exciting synergies and the generic looping music can drive someone to insanity. People often talk about "potential" and yes I know updates are coming, but being in a crowded space and oversaturated market of VS "survivor-likes", these kind of games gets thrown out like cheap candy these days. The hub and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's not ready for release. Is it bad? Not really. Is it good enough to exist in the same universe as Vampire Survivors and get a positive review? No. It lacks content, any sort of meaningful progression and relies on stat growth and grindwalls to extend its playtime.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It´s not "BAD", just bland. Nothing special about it, and a little boring after a bit. I bought in early access and regret.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Damn, actually turned out badly. If what was promised is delivered I would change my review.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It looks, plays and feels like an unfinished game, and that's because it is. I really like the idea of making this sort of game like an RPG, but the developer really finished it to earn a quick cash in. There's been no updates on this game since March 2023 (even after EA ended in April, no updates). The balancing and final level are not complete, and never will be. It's sad because I like the idea, it's too bad the developer got greedy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was going fine until they released it and discontinued support. Avoid, it’s basically an early access "mobile" game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Releasing from early access too soon, accompanied by multiple excuses from the developers.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I hate how these games are too afraid to play with anything cannon. It's always "Yet another faction" or some enemy you've never heard of before. Yeah, they talk about the Hutts and Crimson Dawn, but that's all you'll see of them, those 2 cutscenes. I guess what I'm saying is I would love a game where you fight crimson dawn, or with the hutts, or you join up with them, or something. I don't like how every game franchise has a new faction/enemy that conveniently you've never heard of…
negative · AI labelView post →GO buy Halls of Torment. this was abandoned after V1
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DO NOT BUY. Unfortunately abandoned, devs slapped 1.0 to push out of EA even if it's not even 50% finished. It had potential to be a very good VS clone.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Abandoned game and for some reason I literally can not stop moving, like stick drift, so I have to fight my controls to play. -REP devs
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mediocre clone of Vampire Survivors. 5/10 Pros: nice graphics and addictive gameplay (for an hour or two). Cons: inconvenient interface, very little content (14 weapons, 10 artifacts, 5 heroes and three maps), unfinished third map.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfinished, unpolished abandonware. They just declared it as "finished" but its far from that. Avoid.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought it in early access and enjoyed it at first, and had high hopes for it. It was absolutely not ready for a final release in the state that it's in, and is very light on content and super easy to max out. Get something similar like Soulstone Survivors or Vampire Survivors instead- both have significantly more content and are more refined than this.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One concern I had going into Star Wars Outlaws is that I wasn’t sure if all the Crimson Dawn stuff would contradict some of Marvel’s stories from the last few years. I was absolutely not expecting the game to casually reference multiple comic arcs. That’s terrific fan service.
positive · AI labelView post →You ever heard of Crimson Dawn? Sauceless. But they took the whole game over for a second. They thought they could come in and take over ALL THE LEAGUES. But I heard the chancellor straight up 1v2d their bosses and straight up dog walked them. The only way forward is to come in republic regulation
neutral · AI labelView post →This game is very light on content compared to others in the genre. While $4 isn't much of an asking price, there's simply not a lot on offer in a genre full of choices at similar prices. The mission system makes for nice discrete goals, but mostly exists in service of a metaprogression grind focused on stat pumping. There are no weapon evolutions, and the metaprogression upgrades involve things like unlocking the ability to roll improvements on basic weapon attributes (area, more…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really love this genre and like some of the ideas in this game, however, persistent UI defects have now gone months without patch and it makes the game unplayable for a bunch of us. Don't get this until the devs do another bugfix sweep, particularly with controls/UI.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was very promising, then just like many others - the game was suddenly "Full Release" and lacking the expected content.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a good game. This is a very good game. But this was released out of early access way too quickly. The content Available is almost the same amount of content available when it was in EA which is very disappointing because what's here is amazing but it's just lacking. I wish i could recommend this game but in it's "current" state, I Just cannot. Edit: There's no Endless mode to speak of which for a genre like this is just inexcusable. I Really hope this game turns around but i'm not so…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A bit more indepth Vampire Survivors-like game. Has a deeper progression system. Can't wait to see more!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In its current state i can NOT recommend the game with all the much better others in this genre! It feels cheap, half-baked, not cared and lacks in everything in its foundation from hitboxes to movement to map object borders way too big (not alligning with their visuals) to balancing and descriptions of core mechanics/things in general. BUT it also has some good own ideas like how you level up (collect a number of shards) to certain weapons like the wolves. I hope the dev reworks the base of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At this point I can't recommend this game, there are better alternatives out there like Vampire Survivors, Boneraiser minions or Soulstone Survivors. At the current stage there is barely any content and the game needs serious balance

neutral · AI labelView post →Crimson Dawn, developed and published by Purple Lake, is a roguelite action-survival game that leans into the increasingly popular "horde survival" formula, with a blend of RPG progression and minimal input combat. On the surface, the game is simple and immediately accessible: choose a character, drop into one of the available maps, survive waves of increasingly aggressive enemies, gather loot and upgrades, and repeat. It’s a loop designed to be both low-maintenance and addictive, and while it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →OH and I forgot to mention that with this being set between Empire and Jedi, and SW continuity being unified now, the game is set in the midst of the syndicate war that Crimson Dawn starts in the comics set in the same period. There’s no interdependency, but it’s a nice world-enriching thing.
neutral · AI labelView post →@rich-bryant.uk as the only other person I'm aware of who actually appreciated Solo you would like this game, it has a lot of callbacks to it (the Crimson Dawn is one of the primary criminal factions and Qi'ra makes an appearance)

neutral · AI labelView post →Look the game is ok and worth the $4 if you want to burn a few hours. Needed more time in the oven.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't leave Early Access without any content patch for release. Its shady arse tactics like this is why i hate Early Access, pretty much implement a faith based system where you can support developers works early, only for developers to never finish the game, release it, or even fix it. Then again when people throw money at you why wouldn't you run not like anyone can stop them.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game released in a promising state on Early Access: The foundation was there, the gameplay loop was fun, decent spells and even if it was lacking in both content and mechanics at the time, the hints of what was upcoming was promising and would have very likely made it a great game in the genre. I don't know what happened but unfortunately the game barely received any updates during the Early access period and was left in an incomplete state that just make it hard to recommend to anyone. The…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The bare bones of a fantastic game are here, but nothing else. Very few characters. Very few weapons. No weapon evolutions. They removed this from "early access" with no update, and have yet to respond to those looking for an answer as to "why?". Last update was over a month ago. Save your money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A solid VS-like game, although a bit too grindy, since you have to unlock and power-up a lot of the things to reach the end. There's less skill or luck involved, as compared to VS. On the bright side, it also lets you sort of customize your playstyle and play in shorter sessions.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I know it's early access and I can see a potentially good game loop, but the way difficulty ramps up is ridiculous. You go from being able to handle the amount of enemies with the help of running around to not being able to handle them once you hit the 4th tier on any map. Normally, the difficulty increase can be fun, but since there is literally no buff that increases damage, eventually the enemies have more health and come in faster than you can kill them. Unfortunately, the end result is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cannot recommend, failed to captivate my attention, can't figure out the size of my character, which causes me to get stuck or hit by enemies.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game in early access and there was a lot of issues, but i thought they're gonna fix them, but they didn't... Game lacks a lot of common sense, it's very unenjoyable to play... I leave most of my shards somewhere, even when i pick eye, it still doesn't give me everything, not even half....Developer, if you're reading this, congratulations on creating trash game, wooo, so proud of u ;) Don't buy this game, waste of time. I'll get all the achievements and never touching this game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Having played like 20 of these, this was maybe the most average out of all of them. It has nice new elements of progression. But it feels incredibly grindy and overtly linear.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another banger of an episode. Deep dive into Wrath of Khan, and Rob is playing some game called Crimson Dawn? Never heard of it!
neutral · AI labelView post →Crimson Dawn is a game where you climb a tower to ring the bell and a small magical child appears and asks you to finish a game of hide and seek by ringing other bells. This isn’t grimdark adult Zelda. It’s just Zelda with a Witcher mod.
neutral · AI labelView post →For a AAA game, Crimson Dawn is shit at onboarding. Throws loads of complex systems in your face and barely explains anything. Super obtuse mini game you have to win to progress the main quest. Everything seems to be deliberately designed to frighten and overwhelm new players. I kinda like it.
neutral · AI labelView post →I suppose you are right. I guess I am just a bit miffed considering what the Crimson Dawn is in the game, as its the human supremacist faction. But- considering theres games (like Skyrim and ESO) that allow you to play/dress up as members of similar groups, it makes sense.
neutral · AI labelView post →bad devs and bad game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome! I did music specifically for Crimson Dawn, The Rebels, planet Akiva and Myrra City, as well as a chunk of general in-game exploration, cinematics and combat music 🙌
neutral · AI labelView post →I haven't gotten to that point yet in the game but I decided early on that I was teaming up with Crimson Dawn, I preferred their vibe. And I can see now I chose wisely, 'cause that does look slick! Now I gotta get me that jacket 😀
