This is a Brazilian studio's interpretation of "Enter the Gungeon." The Steam forums and most reviews are in Portuguese, and the game has a passionate South American fan base that is very dedicated to it. The art style and theme are gorgeous and enjoyable. You get to wield a talking shark gun while trying to eliminate cyber monkeys. What's not to love? There's a lot of potential here, but since it's in early access, …

The gameplay itself is overall very fun, but there are too many really bad bugs to recommend at this point. Some bugs I've come across: * Phasing through walls and getting stuck outside the map- ruins the run * Invisible obstacles that block movement * Gas mask passive item doesn't seem to work at all * The gas slowdown effect glitching and becoming permanent, ruining the run * Game menus freezing up in the middle …

Good game, very solid! I haven't finished all the content yet, but I can say that the game is well polished, the gameplay is simple to understand and fun, it has a lot of destructible in each room, and there is a lot of reference on each area of the game. The only minor downside so far, is the lack of input rebinding, but the devs seem to be aware and already working on it, other than that, the game is good and …

Amazing game, super difficult yet pretty and the music is good also. However the upgrade system is whack and needs to be fixed to allow better progression akin to other rogues. Losing the currency you use to upgrade each run and having to start over again is just bad game design and whoever thought it was a good idea needs to read the room, admit it's a terrible idea and give the customers what they want. The RNG …

The first thing you'll notice running Cyberwar for the first time is the amount of detail in its glorious pixel art! From the object and character animations to its environment, everything is full of color and life! And the same treatment the pixel art got, the rest of the game gets as well. Everything flows nicely and its a lot of fun! Like every early access games, there are bugs here and there, but nothing that …

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dollar store Enter the Gungeon. Everything about this game is bad except art. Extremely Grindy meta progression that adds minimal value. The gameplay is meh. The rougelite elements are lame and boring. The game is already at version 0.7. It's filled with bugs. Bugged out on the main menu, options menu, and meta progression menu within the first 3 runs. Enter the Gungeon is cheaper and 1000% better.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Currently I wouldn’t recommend this game. There are too many cons and negative aspects to the game. In my opinion in this current state of the game it’s honestly not fun to play. The progression is not fun and it doesn’t make sense. Some upgrades and even like to clean up the environment it costs credits you can leave a floor with for example 300 credits but it cost 400 to clean the environment. My main issue is why when we go back into the floor we lost all the credits ? It makes no sense some…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game has potential for sure; environment is awesome and the audio/visuals look really thought out. These games are all about the upgrade system and slowly progressing with each run, but it's so hard in this game. The upgrade system is very plain and simple, with a pricing system that doesn't involve helping the players. If you can't come up with 360 bits in a run to even unlock health upgrades, you're SOL as you lose any unspent credits when you go to start the next run. If you're struggling to…

Monkeys were trained/experimented on for war/immortality purposes, Monkeys become toooooo smart, decides to make clones of themselves, take over the world, and all life moves underground until the hero arrives. After the hero arrives and is chosen by the shark handgun extremity, it is time to take the fight back to the monkey race, rouge-like style. Cyberwar has…

The last hope for humanity is a clone warrior named Printer, who comes back to life every time he gets defeated. With his loyal shark weapon, Blue, capable of shooting various projectiles, Printer fights against endless waves of enemies. The story keeps players on their toes with surprising twists, allowing them to explore Printer's memories and uncover an exciting plot filled with unexpected turns. It’s an…

With this newfound knowledge, the monkey creates an army of similar soldiers that starts a war against humanity, forcing people to band together into small underground resistance groups. Luckily, they have developed a technology that allows an android to clone himself after each death, and you get to play as this android. The gameplay is…

negative · AI labelView post →Great roguelite game at a fair price. Recommended!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a strange experience when a game starts strong with an engaging tutorial, only for the rest of the gameplay to feel shallow and restrictive. Unfortunately, that’s exactly the vibe you get from #Cyberwar an #Indiegame featuring a world taken over by cyber monkeys. A lot needs to improve.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cyberwar: Neon City have a bright Pixel sprite that capture the feels of cyberpunk. First of all the gameplay is good, music suit the environments, with linear plot. However, you can clearly see there some improvements in the animation transition. Also if there a mini boss level / stage it should be in the mid section and not in early first few room, as it going to be really tough fight against a fast moving mini boss with only 1 upgrade. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice game, great art and gameplay
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible game. Terrible gameplay loop. Boring story. Devs should quit and do something they are good at. In the tutorial, you can't even pause without it crashing or having the character freeze and have to start the tutorial over. Every single room is the same nonsense and just thousands of bullets you can never dodge... Each weapon has ♥♥♥♥♥♥ passives and doesn't feel like you get better at all. Bullet Hell, more like Game Hell. 0/10

neutral · AI labelView post →Too many game-breaking bugs at this time. 2nd phase of a flying boss and their bullets were invisible. Happened twice as well as the black screen errors.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beat first boss, asked if I wanted to skip cutscene, I said no. Was greeted by a black screen, stuck there, nothing worked, had to close the game. Reloaded, all my junk and the two gold coins I collected were wiped. 0/10 would not do again

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cyberwar: Neon City is a fantastic mix of pixel art action and comic-style storytelling. The roguelite structure (die, upgrade, retry) keeps you hooked, while the neon aesthetic and 80s/90s anime vibes make it stand out. Combat feels fast and punishing but rewarding, and the world-building is surprisingly deep – from experiments gone wrong to primates ruling the city. A stylish and addictive experience for fans of retro-inspired roguelikes. I can't recommend it enough as it is a very good game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fantastic!! The graphics, the gameplay, the story... The game is a lot of fun, very intuitive, and it's really hard to stop playing. The maps change a lot, and the play style is mind-blowing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This Mega-CD game is in fact a sequel to the movie itself. And what's crazier is the fact that the Mega-CD game also got a sequel, Cyberwar, for DOS and PS1. So, Cyberwar is a sequel to a video game tie in, which in itself is a sequel to the movie.
neutral · AI labelView post →That's because it's a sequel to The Lawnmower Man. And Cyberwar (whose PS1 version is Japan only) is the sequel to the video game, which is the sequel to the movie.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good fun! Pixel art explosions everywhere. There is already a fair amount of content in its Early Access release; very much looking forward to updates and a robust 1.0.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is very good. The arts are incredible and the mechanics are very tasty. The developers are showing themselves to be very engaged in listening to the community, as in a short time they have already released updates with improvements indicated by the community.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →CyberWar is a really solid and addictive game. I absolutely loved the art style, and the music perfectly fits each room. The gameplay is also very good, especially since it is Early Access. I don't know if it was luck, but I only encountered one major bug across two playthroughs, and it seems like it's already patched. Overall, it’s a well-polished and enjoyable game that I highly recommend! I wish there was more content and I will be back to play future updates.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An incredibly challenging and rewarding experience! Cyberwar: Neon City is one of those games that keeps you coming back for more! The gameplay is challenging in the best possible way. Every defeat makes you want to improve, and every victory feels genuinely rewarding. That addictive "just one more run" feeling is definitely there! The pixel art is absolutely gorgeous, packed with personality, detail, and an incredible cyberpunk atmosphere. The soundtrack is fantastic too, perfectly matching…

neutral · AI labelView post →This game has so much going for it and so much fighting it. The hack games are annoying, the sound design is good in places and flat in others. There is a chest mechanic that gives you currency and doesn't even give clinking noises or anything else when throwing money at you. So much talking taking away from the game, when i started I just wanted to fight, but a million characters to talk to stopping you from getting in action. Then when I start the actual game the first level i get 2 fight…

Cyberwar by Steve Hillage, Russ Dunham and Fergus McNeill This very obscure sequel to the DOS game adaptation of the movie The Lawnmower Man has an incredible techno soundtrack that's way better than the game it was made for.
neutral · AI labelView post →New review: This game used to be pretty fun but something happened during one of the updates and now the game plays like crap. The character movement is wonky (at best), the dash gets stuck, you can clip into walls, and it just feels bad to play. I posted something in the discussion page to see if they would address these issues but nobody ever contacted me. I tried to go to their Discord, but the link doesn't work. I cannot recommend this anymore, but I will leave my old review up so you…
