The visuals are like a Daydream. The gameplay is Sorrowful. The frustration can never be Forgotten. Important: DO NOT read the detailed description on the store page, it spoils EVERYTHING about the story. As someone who loves atmospheric platformers, I was also drawn to it not only because of the beautiful …

A nice combination of Little Nightmares, Planet of Lana, and Darq. Really excellent visual elements, the environments are stunning and the shadows and lighting is fantastic. Sound is perfectly fitting, moody, and playful and fits the visual aesthetic superbly. Unfortunately, the game simply isn't any fun. The movement is slow and inaccurate, throwing the teddy bear is a punish, the puzzle design is fairly abstract …

Ooh, argh, Ooh, argh, is basically my emotional ride through this game. Moments of splendor followed by sprinkles of frustration and anger. A man lies dying in his bed. Whilst waiting for his time to pass he dreams about his life through the eyes of a boy called Griffin and his teddy bear. Trying to evade the ever-nearing grasp of death, we go on an adventure which has symbolic meaning for the old man. Daydream …

Daydream is very, very heavily inspired by Little Nightmares... which is a good thing, since LN is great. And, overall, the game is pretty good. Quality visuals and creative puzzles in a curious world. However, it's rough around the edges with how you have to micromanage the bear (which can result in getting softlocked), how you die to every fall/jump, and other small frustrations and inconsistencies with …

neutral · AI labelView post →This game tries to imitate another one like Little Nightmares (beautiful game), especially in the early scenes, but it does so with worse graphics, art style and gameplay quality, and without succeeding in creating a particular atmosphere. On the other hand, the game is quite substantial, with many puzzles and action scenes, sometimes not exactly easy to deal with. It is a longer and overall more difficult game than the first Little Nightmares, to understand. A casual gamer or one not used to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really don't want to give this game a bad review, as clearly a lot of effort went into it on all fronts. It looks good, music is decent, and the gamplay has some great ideas. Sadly, clunky controls and glitches make it hard to recommend. Maybe during a sale, but as it is right now, it's a bit too annoying and wonky at times to get a full recommendation. That said, I definitely respect what the developers made here. In a way, I'm still glad I played it.

neutral · AI labelView post →I posted a negative review as I feel this game needs a round of polish. A good Quality of Life update is desperately needed. The platform jumping is just off in places. The mechanic to point the NPC needs to be better. The flying and running scenes are incredibly frustrating. The controls for the sprinting and interacting should be swapped. Sprint should be assigned to your right trigger and interact should be the "X" button (at least on the XBOX controller). It would make for better sprint…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I should have heeded the mixed user reviews, but the trailer and the wonderful art style just made me want to try it. Alas, I cannot recommend this game. The music is great, the story might also be good, but after an hour of gameplay, I just couldn't go on. The horrible controls, and the often very obtuse puzzles just wasn't fun. This game could have been another good Little Nightmares type game, but it really needed more time to polish up the puzzles and very clunky controls and bugs.…

Playing this game gives me the same feeling of dread, not knowing what to do, feeling railed into actions but not given clear goals and - being punished all over again. Not really something I want to revisit in my Me-time... So, after playing twice for some hours I couldn't be more frustrated and enraged with this game. As beautiful as it is, I hate this game. I'm still in the second…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When Tarsier created Little Nightmares 2, they stated in interviews and at press events that they'd learned some valuable "what not to do" lessons regarding depth perception when they'd developed the first game. Shoving my way through Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow this week, it was frustratingly clear that this dev team had no such trial balloon to look to, to iron out kinks. For every clever idea the game presents, it self-sabotages with sudden-death drops and critical items only interactive from…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this game seeing that it's very similar to the Little Nightmares play style. Unfortunately, I spent at least 80% of the time getting highly frustrated at many aspects such as Birley acting like a complete dumbass and not following commands and the forced perspective being just AWFUL in so many ways. This game is so fkn broken, avoid it at all costs.

neutral · AI labelView post →I disagree with the mix rating the game has. It is not that bad. I enjoyed playing it. Yes, there are some bugs and the controls are a bit crooked in places, but overall I can name my experience with the game as pleasant. It is a nice onetime journey.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If I had a physical copy of this game I would have given it to my dog to chew up so one of us would of gotten some enjoyment from it, should have respected the mixed review. I had constant bugs, level resets, the story was hardly noticeable (the name/discriptions) of achievements had more information than the game, the game it self felt like it was only play tested by the same people over and over and never had anyone run into any new problems. the art was pretty. the puzzles would have…

neutral · AI labelView post →This game felt like a chore to get through. It's extremely boring and frustrating to play. If you like trial and error platforming with Limbo style puzzles then maybe you'll like it but it's too expensive, even on a deep sale I'd still not recommend it. Just go play Bramble or Little Nightmares. Those two games are much more worthy of your time.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Didn't want to post a bad review but the amount of times i have got bugs or felt like the controls felt chunky is driving me crazy. I like the game overall but i don't recomend it at a full price. Too many bugs at the moment
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It had the potential to be a great game but the wonky controls and lack of camera control gives this clunker a grade of C- do better next time devs.

positive · AI labelView post →Wow, this was a pretty good game! Bit challenging in places but otherwise I quite liked it. Imagine Little Nightmares and Trine had a baby, and it married It Takes Two, took away the co-op component and then added a bit of jank to the gameplay, just to remind you it isn’t really a big budget game. Biggest gripe is probably the lack of discernible shadows, which for a 2.5d and sometimes 3d game with platforms etc, you misjudge things. Visually appealing and although the story was a bit…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really nice game in the vein of Little Nightmares. Could have used more playtesting though. The perspective in some of the puzzles makes playing through the game much more frustrating than it needs to be. Really holds the game back from being special.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was not worth the money. I couldn't even get very far. I missed the opening scene because it told me to hold space bar and didn't say why, the little boy just keeps walking off so very far, you don't die when you fall until you do, then you trip over nothing and die. Not to mention, you just have to know how to play. There is no tutorial, there is nothing to prepare you for how the game plays and what you can and cannot do. TL;DR: It's just a poorly executed Little Nightmares remake…

Finally got around to buying it and playing it yesterday and I was so incredibly disappointed. I really wanted to like this game. On its own, it's got cute graphics/character design, a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this game, but at the state it's currently in, I can't recommend it. It definitely is not terrible. It is a beautiful-looking game with a nice story and cool puzzles, but everything else seems to be rushed and unfinished. Animations are clunky and lifeless, AI needs some work, sound design doesn't sound natural, and the story just doesn't feel smooth. I hope that a good update fixes a lot of these things, because other than the visuals, all components of the game seem to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game might lure players in with its cute designs and promise of Little Nightmares-like gameplay which it should be a game that I love. Unfortunately the gameplay itself is very frustrating, often leading to unnecessary and pointless deaths, with no real understanding of how to do better the next time. On top of a myriad of other bugs, it would be hard to recommend this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I see what they're trying to do because the game looks good and the story might be too but the mechanics are trash. Moving your character around is a nightmare and just with that all the fun is gone. I thought about giving up in multiple ocassions and finally did it. Also the game crashed once. I just hope I didn't pay much for this
