I really wanted to like this game. But I can not. By far. - This is not a zombie apocalypse survival game. It is a parkour game with sinister background. Good, Short and Compact Game, This game is very similar to the recently launched game 'Replaced'. Just a small NOTE : If you quit the game in the middle of a chapter, the game will start at the beginning of that chapter. To start from the same position you left off, you have to manually select a part of that chapter.

I was really enjoying this game and then I went to bed, when I started it up again my entire 2 hours of gameplay was completely lost and I had to start from the very beginning - many other reviews state the exact same thing How is this still an issue almost a decade after release? It's a shame because the game is really fun and maybe I'll pick it back up when I'm not annoyed and just smash it out in a day but this is actually so disappointing

"This game saves automatically at certain points" As far as I can tell, there is no way to save the game manually so you just hope that the game saves at a good spot... I've only got about 1 hour into this game but because I'm a husband and father, my time is limited so I've loaded the game 3 times in total. The first time I played was about 15 minutes. I didn't get very far but had to get off the game. Started it up again and it didn't save where I was at, it sent me back to the beginning. I…

It took me just 2 hours to complete this game. This might have been worth playing back when it came out on the 360 but it is absolutely not worth playing in 2022. Pros: • Good platforming • Some exciting and fun sections • Last chapter is very fun but also the shortest chapter Cons: • The entire "rat" sewer area • Atrocious voice acting • Terrible story • No replay value unless you're an achievement hunter • Extremely short (2 hours long) • The Bonus Survival Mode is lame • Frustrating and…

Played this on the SteamDeck without any problems with saving like other people. I think the saving issue is because it’s in chapters and parts and the game loads the start of the chapter NOT where you were exactly so you have to load up the chapter and bit you were at in the games menu. I lost half an hour before finding this out. The game is quite decent for its time and the mechanics works well BUT the whole game is a trial and error type game…run, die, run, pass thing that kills you, run,…

It's rare I don't finish a game. Unfortunately, Deadlight is one of those ones that I have to put down. The graphics are fine, it's all the rest: The cliche broody man who won't stop talking about mY FaMilY and making edgy quips about the apocalypse The terrible voice "acting" The horrible stamina system. The game (at certain points) WANTS and FORCES you to fight zombies instead of parkour around them, but 3 swings with your axe does two things: Cause the main protagonist to have a heart…

The platforming and movement feel nice at the start but honestly the more you progress, the more the jumps get tighter and tighter and eventually you gotta jump last second. The combat is awful but it feels good shooting a gun (when it lets you). The story is overall super mid and doesn't really go anywhere and ends on a just awful note. The voice acting and writing is borderline cringeworthy but not insulting. Honestly I wouldn't really recommend this one. 3/10 The main actor should have been…

Tries to be a cinematic/puzzle platformer like the original Prince of Persia. However, rather than make a general game and put puzzles within those game rules, everything is a unique set piece where previous things you've learnt don't work, so it just becomes a game of guess what the developer wants you to do, and repeatedly die until you figure it out. Controls are often unresponsive, forces left stick for what should be D-pad inputs, combat hit detection often doesn't work. If this is the…

A zombie survival platformer with some issues, around 3 hours of actual gameplay. The level art and general mood is great, but I find the movement, combat and story lacking. The movement is clunky, the combat is unrefined and almost non existent, there are maybe 8 or 10 encounters that you have to actually fight in the whole game. 2/10 Story: Cliché and, without exaggeration, downright stupid. After spending years in a post-apocalyptic world, the protagonist suddenly decides to look for his family. You’d think he’d realize by now that almost everyone has turned into zombies. Gameplay: Offers absolutely nothing new compared to other platformers and somehow manages to be even worse. Deadlight, from Tequila Works. I bought it for less than $3 on a whim (might have even been $1) during a Steam Sale on the last day, because "Why not" I thought. Then I actually gave it a shot, and it turned out to be really good. Especially surprising since I don't normally like side scroller puzzles with action elements. The difficulty was just right, and the forgiving checkpoints did away with the usual frustrations I have with games like this.
