Was always on the lookout for a farkle game and this doesn't disappoint! Demo was great fun and the additional content in the full game adds quite a bit more depth. Love the feel of the game too and the voice work is top notch.

I've had dice change their faces after they've stopped rolling to my disadvantage and I just can't abide by that. It's pretty obvious that RNG is malleable in this game and that means it's an automatic no for me. If you're going to screw me with RNG, that's fine, Just don't make it look obvious.

No retry option when you fail a run. It takes at minimum three menus and four clicks to restart a run, which increases the higher the difficulty You can lose a run on your first roll with zero input, which would be fine if it wasn't for the huge menu tax and animations

It's also crashed 4 times since I started playing less than 2 hours ago. Could also be doing with a restart run button rather than having to quit to main menu and then re-select everything. There's a good game in there but this should not have been released in this state.

If you are into any math at all it can become trivial though, for example I have less than an hour in the game and unlocked the "over 1000 gold achievement" because one of the fortune dice (banditry fortune dice) has an expected net return or value of 2.5 gold per roll. So as the number of rolls n approaches infinity your expected earned gold also approaches infinity so long as you start with a decent amount of gold to begin with and don't overflow the integer limit if there is one.

Can definitely recommend for a steam deck user! Game can be a little confusing at first but stick with it and you'll soon get the hang of it.

Very disappointing to launch with no controller support and no way to re-bind controls. I fumbled my way through the tutorial almost soft-locking myself. Maybe add a quick tutorial option? I know how to play farkle, just show me how your game changes it.

Once when it told me to open the combos window and then I wasn't able to close the window and was stuck. The second time the game was telling me about fortune dice and told me to click on one to roll however when I clicked on the dice it shook a little bit but nothing happened and I was stuck again. I often seem to play for 1's or 5's since rolling for quest dice effects seems to be the strongest way to play. I like how often you kinda have to actually gamble for a big win.

If you enjoy farkle and other dice based 'try-your-luck' games this one is for you. Devs seem very receptive to feedback and fixing issues quickly which is a bonus. It definitely doesn't go easy on you, especially in the later acts, but it also makes you experiment with a lot of different strategies with different dice and weapons. I have not found many viable builds so far other than a rare item that upgraded my most used combo (a one by itself) every time I made a strike. Even then... I did not get past the 4th act. I've still gotten a few hours of fun from the game and will likely make a few more runs to see if anything else clicks for me.
