This is hands down the absolute BEST cqc game in existence currently. no other game plays anything even close to DK2...which is a problem sometimes. the game itself is amazing. there are plenty of moments that will have you throwing your hands up in the air but... what game doesnt. I only recommend this game if you are a very patient and receptive player. Otherwise, the time-sink nature of the game will filter you out. The game can be very punishing and frustrating, but if you learn to love the process of failing and learning, then there is depth and mastery to be found in the content within—both Vanilla and the Modded Content from the workshop. Insanely addictive. The premise is "what if we expanded the Rainbow 6 planning phase into a whole game?" but it is so much more fun that that. The game is incredibly nuanced, you can customize each soldier's loadout, there are also skill trees and tons of unlocks. The game allows for expressive play, you can go in guns blazing or try to be stealthy. You can plan each move ahead of time and if you are good enough you …

I like the game. It's very good at what it does. However, someone has to give it a negative review for the outrageous missing QoL features. Why can't I save different loadouts? E.g., one for stealth, one for breach, etc.? It does not even save prior gun customizations. Same for the planning. Why can't I save different plans and to tinker with them? No, if I want to try a different approach, every time I have to start from zero and can't come back to the old one. Also, while I can…

I find this game really fascinating. Thematically, it's kind of a retelling of the War on Terror, abridged to remove all the collateral damage, atrocities and waste of human life. It's like if war in the Middle East for the last 20+ years was put through a propaganda machine and cleaned up to basically make it about a game about cool dudes kicking ass in the desert, where good always prevails and never crosses any lines. Also, it's just a really fun game to play.

This game can be as serious and true to life as you want it to be with mods that flesh out real-world SOF units and as much of their tactics as can be publicly revealed, or you can load up a platoon of ODSTs and go terrorize militants who are *not* ready for a 2000lb Spartan to come crashing through the wall. The game is fantastic and the mods just make it better. I choose the ODST route, personally. There's nothing funnier than watching my Spartan vaporize a wall and the guy on the other…

Good game overall. Lacks thorough explanation of game mechanics. Has a hard stop in the first mission set that will not allow you to complete the game and it's only practical to solve it with a specific gear unlock, the Breaching Charge. Unfortunately that is expensive and there is no warning that if you do not save up and buy it you will be roadblocked. Would be good if they'd address that, too.

Just not very fun. The whole drawing pre planning phase of things is really clunky and finicky and clearly designed for mobile with just a few hotkeys. I played through the FNG missions and felt that most of the gameplay was just doodling these plans that took a lot of time then you watch and hope the RNG lets your Rangers kill the terrorists. You can restart with the exact same plans and same enemy layout and get widely different results which tells me this would be really frustrating on…

It will really test your knowledge when it comes down to planning and it is very addicting, so crack open a cold one or spark up (solo or with a friend online) and enjoy this masterpiece of a game. The game is pure fun at the beginning — you just want to keep playing more and more. Unfortunately, the difficulty ramps up very quickly to the point where some of you might end up smashing your monitor or at least your keyboard. Picked this up on a whim and now I'm obsessed. The controls are pretty simple and easy to learn, but the game itself can feel challenging at times. Once you get the hang of it though, clearing a difficult map feels incredibly satisfying. Every failure feels like a lesson rather than something unfair. The replay value is amazing. Door Kickers 2 is awesome! Just like DK1 you can get a look at the floor plan of a mission and plan a whole operation with your squad. But when those plans inevitably fall apart or you just want to take things one room at a time you can pause and play gameplay as you see fit. Getting it right feels great and it rarely feels like the controls are getting in the way of my successes or failures. It's easy to learn, and satisfying to master. If you liked DK1 this has way more explosives and…

Just recently discovered DK1 on mobile and wondered if there was a sequel. After finding out about DK2 and watching videos, I already had high hopes for the game. I finally got my hands on a PC and immediately purchased DK2 and am extremely satisfied with all of the improvements and changes so far.

Civillians? Target practice. Hostages? Undercover Terrorists. SSI Operators? Its how killhouse games tortures its community. And proper CQB? Maybe in another life. Usually, the enemies are more excited to see us than the actual hostages.

astounding and unique strategy game. improves on the first game in every way: great visuals, better mechanics for doctrine trees, fog of war, suppression, and a bunch more that really fleshes out the vibes. worth every penny

Great game! Getting angles and timing right sounds straightforward, but when the bullets start flying, it is much more difficult than it might seem. As with many great games, it is relatively easy to learn, but difficult to master. It plays very much as a tactical top-down shooter, but is at the same time a game of geometry and timing.
