Dracula

Horror

Directed by Terence Fisher

After Jonathan Harker attacks Dracula at his castle, the vampire travels to a nearby city, where he preys on the family of Harker's fiancée. The only one who may be able to protect them is Dr. van Helsing, Harker's friend and fellow-student of vampires, who is determined to destroy Dracula, whatever the cost. From TMDB

If you must have a Dracula, I implore you to partake of The Mercury Theater on the Air's version. Superior to even the novel, IMO. Orson's Dracula is truly scary, Agnes Moorehead's Mina has real agency, and your imagination is more harrowing than anything put to film. archive.org/details/Merc...

Martin Landau as Bela Lugosi in "Ed Wood" (1994) -- "Bullshit, I'm ready NOW. Roll the camera!!". Lugosi sadly spiraled down in to a pretty rough, drug-abused life in the end. All the way from being Hollywood's premiere horror-themed celeb-actor as Dracula... to being 'Karloff's sidekick'... to trying to summon up the old magic for hilariously-incompetent filmmaker Ed Wood. This is such a splendid film in any case, by Tim Burton. Easily top three IMO from a great director who always…

Does bestowing eternal life on someone mean the recipient is liable for capital gains tax? These questions and more, the Count must face!
