Some players find the game fun and addictive, praising its progression and resource management. [1][2][3] Others criticize it for bugs, poor optimization, and a lack of polish compared to the first game. [4][5][6]

I went into DDS2 with the excitement of a kid on Christmas morning. I’d been waiting for this game to drop for ages because DDS1 absolutely nailed the simulation side of things. The handling, the growing, the feeling that you were actually running the whole operation - it was immersive and addictive. Fast forward 7 hours into DDS2 and my excitement has been completely drop-kicked out the window. What happened? In …

After learning of what Movie Games S.A. have done and with their treatment of Byterunners dev team, and stealing their game franchise. I hope that Byterunners have a successful lawsuit, and take back their franchise. This publisher is a joke, and stole the development teams game. Don't buy ♥♥♥♥ from this publisher, go support byterunners.

This game got a bad wrap. Because of the Schedule 1 controversy. I will not weigh in on who was right but instead focus of the game itself. The game is very fun and addictive and the overall score its got does not reflect that. If you are a fan of simulations or these types of games i would highly highly recommend this!

Drug Dealer Simulator 2 is one of those games that sounds simple at first, but once you start playing, it slowly pulls you into its world. It is not just about buying, mixing and selling products; it is more about building an underground business from nothing, learning the map, managing risk, upgrading your operation and trying not to get caught while everything becomes bigger and more dangerous. Compared to the …

Despite the jankiness that people rightly complain about I found the game very enjoyable, with enticing progression, fun resource management aspects and oddly quite relaxing game loop.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played over 100 hours of this game and STILL never finished the entire game because I didn't feel like playing anymore... I "cheated" by editing hostility levels and stealing millions of dollars worth of resources from the military, bought the warehouse lab and fully stocked it, unlocked every area in the game, have more dealers and customers than I could ever manage alone....and yet feel zero sense of accomplishment? Like the "End Game" is a buy a mansion and the sh*tty casino which was…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Soulless, lacks anything the original had. Fired the original development team with no notice. Do not support Movie Games S.A. DDS1 is so much better. Play the original or Schedule 1
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just didn't capture me like the first one. The menus for making the drugs and inventory etc. were the main issue I had. The open world is also just not good. Would've been far better in a nicer city design, like an improvement over the first.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an excellent example how a to f up a sequel of a really decent game. Big disappointment overall and people changing into leafs after a delivery is just cringe. Do not buy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to like this game, but I cannot recommend it. I feel like it had so much it could of done if they fixed the problems, but the developers have shown that they have moved onto there next game, and left the mess I will describe. There is a lot of bugs, jagginess in terms of gameplay and story. So let me run you through it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lets start with the main story, if you can call it a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kinda regret buying and not returning it but i hoped they would improve the game, in reality it was so bad at launch i haven't played it since because it left a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ taste in my mouth. The first game was executed perfectly, loved it from the start and played it several hours but this is a downgrade. They tried so hard to make it do everything so it kinda sucks at everything and nothing is executed well, the world itself feels like a fever dream because the lighting is weird. When it came out…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Initially, it was fun. Now, its super boring. Devs don't bring anything new, never any updates. They even announced they've started working on DDS3! Why start developing a new game when the one that just recently came out still doesn't feel complete yet?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very bad game... dds the original is a lot better, more enjoyable. crazy downgrade
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game could have been good but sadly it is in the hands of terrible developers.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Devs. Buy Schedule 1 instead. Does everything that this game claims to do, only better.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After DDS1 I was excited for the 2nd one and even thought maybe they needed more time to sort it all out but I was wrong, this game had great potential but I would honestly just go buy Schedule 1 if you want a good drug dealing game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →had alot of hope for this game but its rittled with bugs and they should have stuck with dds1 mixing and crafting of drugs it was way better and smoother and was alot funner
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Idk where the devs thought they were going with this game. I think it should have been kept based in a city. Gameplay gets super stale super fast for me. I would've been happier with a DDS1 major overhaul or remake or something..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A year in and its still exceptionally unpolished. Would have expected after starting a new campaign a year after release that the bugs would atleast be mostly worked out.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →really wish i could return the game, the cooperative experience is just not at all sorted out, and yea the first game felt better overall, want to say more but just to depressed about it honestly.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Schedule 1 is better in every way
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very disappointing needlessly complicated a cash system which makes no sense very much doing the same grind to get nowhere fast. They got ambitious when they didn't need to the world is too big. It almost feels like a pay to win game with no way to pay. Wanted so much more and all they had to do was less.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's not bad but it's far from a good game, clients whole body just not in their picture, it feels as though the "life" that dds stayed with dds, people turning into leaves is just the devs being lazy and didn't want to animate them walking away, just like how the only characters you see moving are the ones that want to kick your ass. The notification system for the dealers running out of money n such appearing and disappearing before you have a chance to see who it's for let alone why. "it…

neutral · AI labelView post →First game is way better this is garbage compared to that but if you wanna sell drugs with friends its fine but if your playing solo dont buy this just play DDS1
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →runs like ♥♥♥♥ ik ion got a good pc but rdr2 run good enough n ts just butt
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is full of odd omissions and stretched mechanics. Seriously a game about building a mafia, but not allowing guns? I know why, but it's REALLY dumb. A game about building a wealthy modern empire, but no (real) cars? I know why, but it's REALLY dumb. Having a casino without a REAL card game (seriously, one round?). I know why, but it's REALLY dumb. I'm with a bunch of others here... just do better with DD3 please. I know this might seem agitated, but I'm just trying to be…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A massive disappointment that doesn't live up to the original. Very disappointing as they had a clearly popular model that they chose to divert from
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is basically unplayable in it's current state. Constant bugs and crashes that haven't been fixed since day 1.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DDS1 is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better, this one is just trash at all, walk simulator, most of my playtime is it was open on my at background and I didnt see.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't recommend DDS2. Buy DDS1 instead. Far better game. For some dumb reason. They thought Menu simulator would be more fun than interacting with your product like in the first game. I tried to enjoy this, but i can't......
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the first one was something special. no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idea why this game was even made besides for a cash grab attempt
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fire but hate how ppl turn into weed after you sell them drugs
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love and adore DDS1, i have a really weird amount of hours in that game, I remember when DDS2 came out it was one of those games where i was genuinely alt-tabbing to check the download progress every 5 minutes, when I loaded in the first impression felt.. off for me. The environment, npcs and original lab just felt like a cheap knockoff you get on sale for 2.99 that you play for 30 minutes and move on. I didn't enjoy the npc's dialoge, the drug creation and dealing itself felt unfun,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wastes your time; real-time timers are present in every aspect of gameplay. No options to fast forward or wait in-game, and productions do not progress when you sleep at night. So cop timers, production timers etc, are going to have you twiddling your thumbs like a mobile game instead of any actual gameplay.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a low quality cash grab, gets very repetitive, low quality and mechanics feel weird with many bugs. Huge downgrade from the first game. Its mind boggling to me that the developers push paid dlc's for a 25$ game that doesn't feel finished at all.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its not the worst game its not the best game. I suggest the first one more than the second.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Worse than the first in every way. Good Things: The drug making is pretty greatly made Entertaining in some points Funny dialogues and characters FIRE OST, SRSLY SELL THE OST PLEASE The negotiating part is a cool concept but badly executed Regular/Bad Things: Needs way too much optimization, unreal sucks The game is way too tedious, with the limit of purchase and most places needing physical money instead of using checks. Combat is pretty ass.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Walking simulator
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Devs have brain damage. Horrible game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →just make DDS 1 CO-OP that all you gotta do, what joke devs. waste of time and lacks immersion, stop following the schedi one and remake DDS 1 WITH CO-OP WELL DONE YOU, YOU MADE A MEGA GAME. BUT NO U HAVEN'T SUCH AN EASY THING YET TO HARD FOR YOU. PATHETIC, THEN ADD DLCS TO THE DDS1 TO ADD MAKING YOUR OWN DR#GS. JOB DONE MONEY FROM ALREADY OWNERS AND MORE FROM NEW. AND NO ONE WILL COMPLAIN. GET A GRIP DEVS.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just avoid this and hope that DDS3 will redeem the series. Just not as good as it needed to be to be DDS2. The mechanics are shallow and the drug mixes really don't matter. Dilute the hell out of it if you want and it'll still sell. There are some good things in the mix but not enough to justify buying the game. Incredibly disappointing after loving the mess that was DDS1. They had a really reasonable recipe for a good game and somehow landed on this. I love the mechanics of growing your own…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Could only stand 25 minutes of this garbage. Refunded immediately. Not what I was hoping. So bad. UI sucks. Confusing as hell. Not fun. Just a confusing running simulator.....is all this is. Absolute garbage. Should be free to play or pay people to play.....lets hope next DS 3 is better (I highly doubt) but I will check it out when it releases. Avoid this one....you'll thank me later
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Took a while to pick up but seems pretty decent so far. Will update my review if that changes. I wouldn't listen to the Schedule 1 normie crusaders that just buy the game to leave a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ review. It starts off a bit dull but once you get into the meat of production and hiring dealers etc i started enjoying it more. Still prefer the setting and some of the gameplay from DDS1 but don't think i will be regretting purchasing this and playing it. Looking forward to DDS3.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My wife and I are having a great time playing this, not sure why all the complaints, really good fun co-op. Maybe complaints all from people playing solo. i can see that being a little overwhelming. Other than that i'd say 8/10, only -2 because i cant drive cars like cars, theyre more a fast travel method.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →compared to the first game this is absolutely garbage the game is not interesting it has no real incentive to even play the game its lack luster and what made them think i wanted to be stuck on an island that screams zombie game like dead island
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is shackled at the ankles until dev pulls their head out of their ass, listens to the obvious community wishes to add firearms... IT'S A DRUG DEALER SIMULATOR... wtf they go hand in hand. Especially the latin ones.... come on, read the freaking room.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →just started playing and for a drugs game i like it alot, the only problem i have is when you smoke weed or take meth there is NO effects to it, disapointed tbh lol

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is interesting. Interesting mechanics, long-term development, a nice open world. You can even play in sandbox mode after purchasing a private island. BUT. 1. The game is in dire need of optimization. I decided to make a plantation on my private island, planted 64 bushes, installed 64 drying racks, and after the shelter's visibility reached 700, the game started lagging horribly. I turned down all the graphics settings to minimum and set the video card preset to FPS, but the…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly a pretty bad indie game sucks bad graphics and gets boring alot of walking
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Devs are sooks that schedule 1 dominated them! Sucked in bots!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was hyped for this game from the start — I loved DDS1 and literally counted the days until DDS2 dropped in early access. I bought it right away with joy, knowing there’d be bugs at launch, which was understandable. The potential was huge. But now, over a year later, it’s still kindaaa rough. The vibe, the grind, the atmosphere — they’re all still cool and enjoyable. The drug system is actually better than Schedule 1, and I’ll give credit where it’s due: the grind feels more alive and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent mix of economic and fighting, production and development. Very athmospheric and coherent itself. Enjoyed more than 100h of gameplay. Passed the game 2 times to open both endings. Few munor bugs are not worsening the opinion (no street customers of LSD and lists, parking lot of cottage in the west of police in Archipelago bugged, hush is not paid by Jamal). There are a lot of items sold that useless. may be do something with them in future patches? I would also add other firniture that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved the first game so bought the second only for it to be more of a walking simulator than anything else, gets boring very quickly but its okay for an hour or two.
