What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 49 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (87 of 105 positive).
Players praise the game's depiction of abusive relationships as effective and moving. [1][2][3] Some reviewers call it 'feminist slop' and criticize the gameplay as repetitive. [4][5][6] Many recommend it as a short, artistic horror experience with strong atmosphere. [7][8][9]

Femenist slop The kinda game where women relate & shiver thinking about all their toxic psychopath, manipulative, mansplaining boyfriends. Gameplay critique: Not what I expected. Its a gameplay loop about run away sequences, yet its pretty repetitive & boring after ACT 2. I figured it be a story game with different routes. Yet it's just the same each time. Pretty borning, Ngl. I will try to explore more of it and …

I don't usually comment or write reviews etc, but I felt I had to do it this time. this game speaks to me on a level I have never felt or experiencesd in a game before. I'm not very skilled as a gamer and had some difficulty roaming around and not getting caught, but I was able to get to the ending and it sincerely moved me to tears. Then I replayed it all again. If you've ever been in a toxic relationship with …

Amazingly crafted narrative about the very real horrors of domestic violence against women. Good on you guys for putting a trigger warning in the beginning of the game for potential victims, as this game gets REAL and it gets INTENSE. The PSX graphics add a lot of charm to the game's haunting and ethereal environment, and I was very impressed by how seamlessly the map seemed to contort and shift depending on what …

I really liked this one! A psychological horror game about being stuck in an abusive relationship and portrays it well. It is very short, i finished it in under an hour, but it does have multiple endings and possibly some secrets i missed. Any negative review that is saying its "feminist slop" should be disregarded. I honestly think there was some kind of attempt at review bombing since there were 3 reviews saying …

Hard to think of much else to say other than wow. This is a truly heart wrenching experience to play through. $6 is a steal for the kind of game that shines a light on abusive relationships in such an effective way. The game is deceptively simple, with a lot to dissect for players who are willing to fully engage with the story. Also, the nod to Horses was unexpected. I highly recommend playing that one as well once …

84% of the 49 Steam reviewers we collected recommend FEED IT. The complaint that keeps coming up: some find the gameplay loop repetitive after Act 2. Deal-breaker or nitpick?

neutral · AI labelView post →Amazing game, all the people stating this is "femenist" slop are just ignorant. This game is about toxic relationships from a genderless point of view and does a splendid job in depicting these sick dynamics. From a gameplay point of view the game is short but brimming with content. Act 3 environments gave me nightmares and left me with the desire of finding out about more endings than just the standard one. All of this for less than 6 Euros? Go ahead and give it a try asap.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Genuinely some feminist slop. like I'm up for women power but make sense atleast. "I'm deep and it was soo 13" head ahh game. can't believe I waited till release and bought this slop.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feed it to me 😍 I mean that name alone. That's a proper video-game-ass name.
positive · AI labelView post →I don't normally write reviews, but I don't want to risk a game like this going unnoticed. Get ready to play a game that is as much horror and PSX as it is personal. The author wants to tell you a story, but leaves you the freedom to interpret its events through your own lens and reach your own conclusions. That's why Feed It is art. A great videogame has the power to change you. With Feed It, I hope it can help someone see that, even when things seem hopeless, there is always a world of…

neutral · AI labelView post →negative reviews promoted this game for me, its short, artistic, but in my opinion, a bit on the nose. but some of the sequences are very well landing, including the save system. game bugged during the end of act 3 so i was not able to finish it, but its an alright artistic experience that doesn't overstay its welcome.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As others have said it's very clearly a feminist game, I wouldn't have a problem with this if the game was actually good, it isn't.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this games boring imo feed it or dont the running is lackluster... as much as i love trying indie horror hearing ♥♥♥♥♥ every 20 secs gets old after awhile prob just not my cup of tea and the games very short since i had a lackluster experience i cant recommend the game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very strong graphics and sound, it has so much style! Overall very nice atmosphere and well crafted message.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Randomizing and clearing my backlog 52/343 I must be way too mentally stable to enjoy this game. It was way too on the nose with its “abusive” themes. I get it, but good lord is this game boring. Run down a hallway, get called a ♥♥♥♥♥, bring him food, run down another hallway, get called a ♥♥♥♥♥ for not pulling a lever, then starve to death. Act completed. Yaaaayyyyy. So deep and fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved it, in the way one can love a well done horror game despite its themes being sad. Because the main topic of the game is very clear from the start, and very real. If someone feels it is very "in your face" or "on the nose" it is because some things are what they are, and like I said the topic is VERY REAL, you can tell the game was developed by people that really understand it. A serious game like this doesn't always have to be presented in an abstract and artsy way for us to appreciate…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Play FEED IT if you want a short horror experience with the feeling that there's always something under the surface you haven't discovered yet.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It takes a special kind of storytelling for a game to bring tears to my eyes when you can beat it in under an hour.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Metroid Ravenous straight up looks like a 2D Doom game FEED IT TO ME NOW
neutral · AI labelView post →I don't necessarily have a problem with the corny feminist themes some others here pointed out. Super on the nose and obvious immediately within the first two minutes of the game, but whatever, not everything has to be for everyone. My problem is that despite the interesting visuals, it's boring and lazy. Run down a corridor selected for you by RNG, grab a plate of food, run back, feed it to the pig, get called a ♥♥♥♥♥. This by itself is fine, but this makes up the majority of the game, with…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really cool horror game with some surprisingly deep themes. The horror is genuinely stressful and unsettling. Definitely worth playing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →REVIEW: FEED IT "...takes something painfully complex and distils it into a surreal experience without losing sight of the disturbing realities. Short, nasty and very uneasy, but sometimes that’s exactly what horror needs to be." @prettysoongames.bsky.social checkpointgaming.net/reviews/2026...
neutral · AI labelView post →This is a game where sensitivity changes the gameplay. If you are scared of the monster, you feed it. If you are not, be ready to run.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very short, yet incredibly well-made indie horror game. The trailer gives you just a glimpse of the interesting set pieces and genuinely intimidating sequences in this game. Even if you're not fond of the admittedly heavy-handed metaphors and strong themes in the game (which I actually quite liked, myself), the game itself is worth experiencing simply because it's a little different to the others. It reeks of effort. Tons of little things to notice - my one criticism is, I just wish I had a…

neutral · AI labelView post →https://youtu.be/4HazhEJdzF8 Nicely designed game though it has a repetitive plot of being called a ♥♥♥♥♥, feed the pigman / feed yourself, chase sequence, get caught / find your way out and then on your way to the next level to do the same thing over again. That is the main thing bad with the game and I wish it was something different for each level. Design wise the game was great with very nice visuals, level design, and so on. Story is basically living with a verbally abusive pigman I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Plots like this with abuse can be done in a very impacting way but the whole premise of this is really cheap. Like others mentioned its some poor thought out chase sequences with the pig just jumping out of nowhere. Multiple endings but couldn't see the point in playing based on the premise alone being summarized in one playthrough. Could have more engaging interactions with decisions based on how someone who still feed themselves scraps while under some sort of influence but hardly has any…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short, but not everything needs to be a long story to be good. Enjoyed the game as it did give that paranoia feeling that he is coming closer as you search ways to escape (besides the chase parts cause that 8'9 pig be running fast asf.) I love the way a victim of domestic violence/toxic relationship and the abuser are depicted in the game. The way the game makes you feel small around him or how delusional the character gets when the pig gets angry (you see him everywhere or everything falls…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short but effective! I really liked the seamless map transitions and how psychedelic the levels get. Great pacing and intensity, feels like a fever dream the whole time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Brilliant and suspenseful. Don't pay attention to triggered right wingORs. The game succeeds at making you feel helpless when you are trapped in the same dwelling with a monster who will constantly demean and abuse you. No, you are not strong enough to leave, just like in real life.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →FEED IT takes a remarkably simple command and turns it into the foundation of a disturbing psychological horror experience. Developed by Games On A Chair and published by Pretty Soon, it places the player in a bizarre first-person scenario involving an increasingly hungry monster that appears to hold authority over them. Instead of relying on an elaborate setup, the game quickly establishes an uncomfortable routine: the television is too loud, the creature needs to be fed, and there is an…

neutral · AI labelView post →Solid game for the price! Act 3 was a bit confusing, and I had a hard time figuring out what I was supposed to do to beat it. The message behind the game is very strong, and I really loved how it was presented. I probably won’t go back to try the other ending, but I really enjoyed my playthrough and had a great time with the game. I definitely recommend this game to streamers like me who are looking for shorter games that are easy to fit into their content schedule. Big 8/10 from me!

Got to say for what this game was, it was pretty dang solid! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYj-BmZSxpc The whole plot is dark but really well made. A lot of people didn't seem to like it according to some reviews, but to me it's perfect. Really captures how controlling a abuser can be to a victim. This game really captured the dread of trying to do as told and almost failing to do it and facing the consequences. Had no problems as far as gameplay was…

neutral · AI labelView post →A solid experience with a clear allegory for abusive households, tying oneself down with self-fed guilt and trauma, and many other horrific reasons as to why escaping becomes near-impossible. It's very short, but has multiple endings and interesting secrets to find and bits of dialogue that play out in a way that isn't preachy. While it's obvious what the story is about I think that it does it justice and even elaborates on it to a degree that is uncomfortable, but terribly well done. It's…
