Oh boy...it is time for Final Figh....errr Vendetta. If you have every played Final Fight or Streets of Rage, then you have already played this. it is so cookie cutter, I guess you will enjoy it if you like those games. But you won't feel like you are doing anything new. But there is something far worse: When you get to stage 4, there are parts that give you a warning signal...and then all of a sudden something will …

READ THE MANUAL!!!!! (way too many ppl complaining about how it plays, then you watch their gameplay footage and you see why). i saw it by mistake on the game's library page, under additional content. that manual really took the game from a 4/10 to an 7.5/10 for me. i didnt even know that half of those moves were in the game till i opened the manual. anyways, a really fun beat em up that will test you. tough as …

A tribute to 90s arcade "belt scrollers", from Final Fight to Vendetta (as the title says), from Streets of Rage to the little-known Legionnaire, and everything in between. However, as a game in itself, it is just okay and not worth the full price it's sold at. You should buy it during sales like I did. PROS: + Great graphics with huge, well animated sprites and detailed backgrounds. + Excellent techno-house …

Honestly, I absolutely love this game. I was careful to buy it due to the predominant negative review, and then I played it on Easy and managed to beat the whole game in less than an hour - and I struggle to play Streets of Rage 4. I'm now giving Hard mode a go, that's how much I love this game. The presentation is ON POINT - early 90s aesthetic with the visuals - the animations are stupidly fluid and the game feels …

Basically everything Streets of Rage 4 should have been... kind of pathetic honestly that they put such a huge budget on such a pile of garbage but there it is... keep it simple, that's all you had to do. It has a banging sound track (200% better than the garbage they put in SOR4) takes you back to the 90's for sure... it's a vibe. The game play is incredibly simple, there's nothing cheap about the mechanics like …

Players who liked Final Vendetta talk about great soundtrack with techno and house music; those who didn't talk about overpriced for the amount of content. Which matters more to you?

60 of 235 · most liked firstThe price is way too high for this amount of content and replay value. Try to get it through a bundle instead. If you just want to hit hard, you don't have to wait. After a short, stylish intro, you choose one of three characters: Duke is the all-rounder, Claire is particularly nimble, and wrestler Miller is a bit more ponderous, but hits all the harder for it. Alone or in pairs you fight your way through six mostly horizontally scrolling London stages and mix up masses of gang members. At…

neutral · AI labelView post →Both Ex-Zodiac and Wild Guns Reloaded are in this bundle, two of the best on-rails shooters in years. Honestly, almost everything in here is top notch and it's $1.50 per game if you get seven. Final Vendetta is a great Final Fight tribute. Amid Evil & Dusk are boomshoot kings. Blood West is great.
positive · AI labelView post →Taking inspiration from 90s arcade beat-em-ups like Final Fight, Vendetta (these two being in its name) as well as Renegade, Streets of Rage, Burning Fight, Sengoku 3 (for its nice big sprites) and maybe some Amiga games (for its graphical style and quality) Final Vendetta is a mash up of all the above into a nice looking and great sounding (due to its awesome 90s flavored soundtrack) game which is let down by janky controls, wonky hit-boxes and a lack of variety in its enemies, moves and…

It was in my wishlist for months because honestly it looks good, I'll give it that. graphics have that charming retro feel, unfortunately that's about all it has. I finished the whole thing and I feel like I just played the demo. You're better off just buying Streets of Rage 4 or even the originals. What annoys me the most is that the developers have access to everything they had back in the 80's and 90's and so much more, and this is what they do with…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another game where I wish Steam had a rating somewhere between thumbs up or down. This game is a fighting game that is a throwback to the days of the original Final Fight. While this game is fun and the graphics are a fantastic homage to fighting games from the 90's it's definitely not worth getting unless heavily discounted. Only three playable characters to choose from and the game itself is only six levels long. The only other game mode besides the story mode is a survival mode where you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Genuinely surprised at the number of good reviews. I suppose it's ok if you want to play a final fight style game, but you wont' get any more than that. It's very simple, not particularly fun, and to be honest, I think Final Fight had better graphics and gameplay. If you are looking for a good beat 'em up, get Streets of Rage 4, it's a vastly superior game. If you already have it, then just play it again.

neutral · AI labelView post →A word of warning: if you're wondering whether Final Vendetta is a good beat-em-up or not, depends on how long have you been playing the many games in this particular genre, and if you can appreciate this title's attempts to reference the older arcade classics without having any intentions at all of reinventing the wheel in the process. The story is serviceable and nothing more. One of the heroes' sister has been kidnapped by a criminal gang and is up to our heroes to beat the snot out of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A 1990s inspired beat 'em up that is firmly average, having some minor balancing issues and mechanics problems. Play as either Claire Sparks, Miller T. Williams, or Duke Sancho in the quest to rescue Claire's sister from the London street gang Syndic8. Beat down the same handful of enemies across five stages, smashing crates for loot and healing food items on your way to fight that stage's boss. Combat in Final Vendetta doesn't feel like anything special, having the usual combo light…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The rare retro game that is both faithful *and* well crafted. The negative reviews have no idea what they're talking about. 1) Zero tedious textboxes or quipping 2) Great music and sound design. This was evident from the first seconds of clicking the menu to start. 3) The brawling gameplay is simple but fine. It feels somewhat like King of Fighters rather than like Final Fight or Streets of Rage. 4) Fascinating playability details like how you can *cancel* a dashing punch move into a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm counting it as an arcade release due to the impending NeoGeo AES version, which will function the same as a PCB. Final Vendetta is an awesome game; maybe the best brawler released in the 2020s. It's compact, mechanically sound, and the combat is so deep and satisfying. youtu.be/gdNbuMIzUVc?...
positive · AI labelView post →It's a good game depending on how deep you want to go into it. What i can say is the sprites on screen are massive. More the characters look nothing alike so unlike with the new TMNT or Power Rangers games you shouldn't lose track of your character if you a playing co-op. Again the sprites are massive and while back ground's are nice they don't do the modern filling everything with a thousand nods thing so again the game is very easy to see and tell what your doing. I stress these points…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As long as you don't look too closely at the faces this is a nice, if uninspired, looking beat'em up. It clear what games it's aiming to emulate. However there is more to the combat that it might seems from it's looks. You can cancel most moves into specials and even juggle fools, but it never feels right. I dunno if it's just me or if the game really does have a buffer issue but I constantly get dash/dodge when I do not want it. Opponents are punching bags that can deal a shocking about of DMG…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible game, with an incredible difficulty spike (the first boss is basically unbeatable). Horribly bad animations and sound. It's trying to evoke older games in its gfx style, but fails on every level.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A real successor to Final Fight. Real fun and packs a punch. This game doesn't get the praise it deserves.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite a simple and short game without any plot in which there is nothing outstanding. If you like this genre, you can buy at a discount to quickly pass.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was excited to try a new beat em up from British developer Bit Map Bureau. After about 2 hours of play time, I unfortunately was left frustrated and underwhelmed. The difficulty ramps up significantly at stage 2 where every death feels very cheap and unfair. It sucks out all the fun. And that's unfortunate because buried under the brutal difficulty is a really decent game that takes a lot of inspiration from the classics like Streets of Rage and Final Fight, while still doing it's own thing.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It’s got a great soundtrack. For sure recommend!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good game BUT... beat game in 41m, including watching cutscenes... Expensive game for a 40 minute game. Buy it on sale, great game but expensive AF. Great controls, good music, Streets of rage vibes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros 1. The soundtrack is amazing with a mix of dance, techno and house music. Everyone of them are bangers. 2. Controls are snappy and responds well. 3. Each characters has a lot of moves and juggling the enemies is always fun. 4. Length of the game is good for a retro beat em up. Doesn't overstay its welcome before it gets repetitive which most beat em ups suffer from. 5. Pixel arts reminds me a lot like Neo Geo titles similar to The King of FIghters with its muted but clean look.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Final Vendetta, developed by Bitmap Bureau and published by Numskull Games, is a vibrant and action-packed beat ’em up that pays homage to the classic arcade titles of the 1990s while injecting its own modern energy and style. Set in a gritty, neon-soaked version of London, the game thrusts players into the shoes of Claire Sparks, a skilled martial artist on a mission to save her sister from the clutches of a ruthless criminal organization known as the Syndic8. Alongside Claire, players can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This one crosses a line between inspiration and simply being derivative. Unfortunately, the game plays it a bit too safe and ends up feeling like "we have Streets of Rage at home" rather than something new and exciting. Id recommend just replaying Streets of Rage 2 and only turn to this if you've completely exhausted the SoR series, and other beatemups on Steam like Beats of Rage and River City Girls 1&2.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Perfect on the Deck. Very bare bone. Can be finished in 45mn, 4 characters, 6 levels, 6 bosses. Can be replayable if you're looking to unlock achievements, otherwise meh. Got it in a bundle, fine for 3€.

Firing up stream early to make sure it's stable and also felt like playing some Final Vendetta, cool belt scroller that got overshadowed by the TNMT game on release. Good music too. www.twitch.tv/tuesdaynight...
positive · AI labelView post →Final Vendetta shows once more why Bitmap Bureau are masters of modern games inspired by arcade classics. It captures the spirit of games like Final Fight, Vendetta, and Mutation Nation, but most of all it reminds me of Konami’s Violent Storm. The soundtrack is spot on and suits the game perfectly. Enemies and bosses are well designed, there’s a good mix of weapons, and the gameplay strikes a balance between being fair and giving you enough challenge to keep you coming back. Bitmap Bureau…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you told me this was first released 30 years ago I’d of believed you, in a cheap cash grab kind of way. Core combat and enemy variation is lacking. There’s a block which doesn’t block any of the overpowered boss attacks. Really awkward stage hazards. No cohesive story whatsoever, set in a barely recognisable London. Easy is too easy, hard is too hard - if only there was a difficulty to fit in between!

neutral · AI labelView post →I don't understand difficulty in this game: in easy you can faceroll through it, in normal every enemy spams cheap tricks and you have no continues? WTF? It's not bad and it does not have gamebreaking bugs, but it's just a short Final Fight clone without anything peculiar. In 2022 I expect this kind of game to have some unlockables, or a path system or whatever modern feature this game lacks completely. Sorry to leave a bad review but it's just a "meh" game for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a bad game and I don't have anything negative to say in terms of that, but $24.99 you're out of your mind. This game has less than 1 hour of content for any reasonably experienced player. For even 10 bucks I'd feel cheated
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good Game, altogether. Get it cheap if you like Beat 'em Ups. Small Notes, though: Game is short. Beatable in 25 minutes or so. Offset by sometimes ludicrous difficulty, inability to continue once lives run out, trial and error traps (that tend to be instant death) and a final boss so horrendously badly designed and Overpowered that it would make SNK blush (for reference, he spams a projectile that will easily 2 - 3 hit you, cannot be knocked down, can easily combo-knock you down without issue,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The positives are absolutely right. Another perfect retro arcade title... and we all know that is not easy to achieve. Bitmap Bureau never miss
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wanted to like this, but it's just too janky to be enjoyable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a Streets of Rage clone and a mediocre one at best. The characters are just cheap knock offs of Blaze, Adam, and a character that mixes Axl with Mike Haggar from Final Fight to not be a 1 to 1 clone. If you can pick up a steam key from a 3rd party distributor for like 3 bucks it's alright, but I can't recommend this game in the slightest at retail price.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A truly fantastic beat-em-up. Great move set, not too long, and no hand holding. I think that Claire is probably the easiest character to play with, as she is fast, and its pretty easy to air juggle enemies.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →126. Final Vendetta. This is a superb modern, but retro-inspired, beat ‘em up game. It genuinely feels like, if it had come out in the day, it would be mentioned alongside Streets of Rage and Final Fight. It’s worth checking out if you’re a fan of the genre, and you haven’t already. #365games

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you were a fan of Megadrive's Street of Rage games then you are going to love this one. A great game, you won't regret buying it. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome, classic beat'em up game. However, it is EXTREMELY short and is overpriced. It has a great soundtrack, and the pixel graphics are gorgeous. I would recommend it on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game looks great! however the gameplay feels a bit unpolished to me. Tries to be the best of all the great beat em ups you know (mainly SOR and Final Fight), but barely scratches the surface of what made those games great. Character choice is pretty poor and the combat style of those feel pretty basic. Its an okay time, but its nothing you haven't seen already.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gamefeel that isn't quite there and some arbitrary decisions to raise the difficulty hold back some good spritework and amazing music.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is really, really, REALLY good. Okay, so you've played Streets of Rage, right? And you've played games on the Neo-Geo, right? Imagine Streets of Rage, ON the Neo-Geo, and that's Final Vendetta. The gameplay is as tight as it was in the Streets of Rage games, but the graphics are next level, well beyond the capabilities of the Sega Genesis and even the Super NES. Final Vendetta would be right at home on the Neo-Geo near the end of that system's life, with silky animation and big, beefy,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game and i consider there to be a place for it even though the market it tries to compete with is pretty saturated for the moment. Now i cannot compare this to other similar titles like the 'genuine' FF sequel making the rounds right now as i don't have it but i can compare this to original FF series and it compares really well as a modernized version which doesn't try to bring in too many new gimmicks to a good formula that already worked so well back then and works even now. So…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →*Finally* beat Final Vendetta on Hard mode. This game doesn't fuck about, lol. It can get grossly unfair at times but you just need to learn the intricacies to survive. Definitely better than Streets of Rage 2 & 4... mind you, that isn't hard 🤣
positive · AI labelView post →For a moment there I legit felt like I was thirteen years old and I was playing Final Fight at the mall.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing drum and bass from the 90s 10/10!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →what an absolute waste of an IP. I've been playing beat em ups since they existed in arcades including every entry in this IP. As a veteran of this genre of games I can say without a doubt this is a failed attempt. Just go to Retro arcade online and play the OGs for FREE!! Also, last boss is a total and absolute joke he wouldn't even let me get up! killed me six times in a row FK this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I mentioned to a friend that it was my birthday and, being bro and knowing that I've played a lot of Sifu, Fight'n Rage, SoR4 and River City Girls, he sent me this game with a little bow on the top. I must be a cat because I ended up playing longer with the bow than with the game itself after I felt bad for dropping the content after during the 4th or 5th boss fight. See, when you read Vendetta you usually think of a dude in a Guy Fawkes mask who wanders around, expecting people to expect…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let me say this first....THIS GAME NOT HAVING CONTINUES IS NOT BAD GAME DESIGN, PLEASE JUST GET GOOD. I was at first frustrated with how far I was getting in the game and that I could not progress but then I saw the beauty of learning the game so that I can finish it in one go and just practiced. People say that this game has no originality and that's not true. The kit that each character has is strong and the music is pleasant to fight through, Would love a sequel and I'm glad this was my…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gameplay is shallow and "hard" in a classic quarter-muncher unfair way, there isn't much to master, you just gotta try-hard a bit so you don't get surrounded, and approach enemies from above and below instead of straight in. IMO it's not worth the time you'd need to sink into it to finish it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fine. Native Linux support is decent.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, here’s the thing: the characters in Final Vendetta are like knockoff action figures you’d find at a bargain store, complete with names like “Karate Carl” and “Punchy Patty.” I half-expected their special moves to be called “Budget Uppercut” and “Generic Spinning Kick.” And then there’s Duke. He’s got the swagger of Cody from Final Fight, but instead of jeans and a bad-boy vibe, he’s rocking an outfit that screams “I moonlight as a fitness instructor.” It’s like someone told him, “Alright,…
