What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 168 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (1,216 of 1,415 positive).
Players find it a hilarious and chaotic co-op game that strengthens bonds. [1][2][3] Some reviewers note it is best played with friends or family. [4][5][6] A few players criticize the physics and difficulty for being frustrating. [7][8][9]

This is a really fun game, great for local multiplayer play, but It only supports up to 4 xbox controllers. There are other games that have addressed this issue by giving a toggle to disable x-input, which allows for more than 4 x box controllers, but the developers have not included that here. Unfortunately, while this game is really fun, its not one that we ever go for on game nights because of the player …

(Don't be shocked by my short playtime, I usually play the game on my children's accounts.) Easily one of the very best party games to ever grace your Steam library. No other game requires such perfect coordination of your every move - or is so fun when you mess up. :) Played with up to eight controllers locally, or online, or in any combination of the two, the game is both a neverending source of laughs and a great …

Well... This was really fun! I laughed so much, annoying my already frustrated partner... Until he learned to laugh and enjoy himself more. ^.^ A game that made it happen! The game has rather cute characters and you can unlock more after you level up after gaining enough points via races. You can also choose different skins for them (once unlocked) and set your own custom name banner/sticker. But! You don't just …

This is a very rare review on my end. I am a lifelong gamer nearing it's 40's with a family. Hardcore back in the days, casual since family. Fling to the finish has been a fun-making, centerpiece gaming apparatus that made me bond with my young boy, several friends at home, heck even my wife, and it's graphically accessible to offer it on a consumer laptop via HDMI in the living room. There is a broad selection of …

Fun game solo ..but more fun with friends ..despite having few challenging activities but still fun ..enjoy.... !!

82% of the 168 Steam reviewers we collected recommend Fling to the Finish. The complaint that keeps coming up: limited controller support for local multiplayer. Deal-breaker or nitpick?

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All streamers and YouTubers must be completely delusional about this game. The rope physics are basically nonexistent — you can just jump over most things and it becomes completely irrelevant. There are voids where they shouldn’t be. It’s literally a cash grab, a childish game rushed in Unity with no depth at all, where you can switch your character between an acorn and a snail. The graphics are nonexistent, there’s zero immersion, and there’s no danger whatsoever — you just walk forward. The…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Figured this would be a cute game to play with my kid, I was 100% wrong. This game has a great idea but lacks any type of difficulty that would make it enjoyable for playing co-op with kids, contrary to the overall aesthetics it's going for. Levels routinely start out fine and cute, but introduce parts that are just impossibly punishing. The end result of playing this was frustration and upset feelings for all involved, so I can't recommend it currently - at least not if you have kids in mind.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's an alright game, had a few laughs while playing but I don't think $22 fits it imo.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a mess it fundamentally does not work as a physics based game the "fling" part of fling to finish is inconsistent at best. At best this game feels like you have your testicles in a vice and god is squeezing them over and over and getting more and more tight every time. I played this for 2 hrs and in that two hours I painstakingly went through every level in multiplayer racing and EVERY SINGLE TIME we tried to fling it felt random whether you made it to the next part. the common…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun game to play locally with your friends. Only ever experienced a few bugs and I completed around 70% of the maps. The bomb runs can be very frustrating but feels rewarding once you actually get it done.. I would 100% recommend. Please note that this game can ruin your relationship if you're a bit too passionate about gaming and decide to play this with your partner.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Fling to the Finish" is a handheld (Nintendo Switch) game that's also been put on Steam as a bit of an afterthought, as it's very much designed for the handheld gaming audience. It's a gimmick game, basically, it's a low poly/cartoony Switch racing game with a single twist, it's co-op as you should play with another player and use a rubberbandy low quality physics engine to "fling" yourself along the racecourse. The racecourses are a variety of surreal/wacky/microracer style environments.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it was too short and you can't physically play it with yourself i can't even play it with an ai like other games

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Shoutout the stretchy bandaid game for almost ending my parents marriage. 10/10 would fling again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a co-op essential
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fling to the Finish is a chaotic, hilarious, and surprisingly challenging co-op physics platformer that turns teamwork into both the solution and the problem. It’s simple to understand, hard to master, and absolutely perfect for playing with friends. 🤝 Co-op Gameplay (The Core Experience) This game lives and dies by cooperation. You and your partner are literally tethered together, which means every jump, fling, swing, and mistake affects both players. Success requires communication,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun party game that leads itself into burst-out-loud moments. A few nitpicks: Not a whole lot of maps, 16, which you can complete in a few hours. The Campaign Mode is more of the same as Race Mode and doesn't add that much variety. Rarely the fling mechanic gets buggy which makes the race impossible. Still a game that's worth your time, you will not regret playing it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A 2025 team sack race with a "twist" | KAMGUSTA's MINI REVIEW This is a conditional recommendation. It's a casual 3D platform/racing party game where you play as teams of 2, with players connected to each other with by a string. Levels won't help, requiring a good coordination from teammates - it usually ends un in funny disasters! It can be played by up to 8 people, although in local co-op you need to use a maximum of 4 Xbox joypads due to Xinput limitations (but each one can be used by 2…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Trailer says 8 players CO-OP. Then it only detects 4 random controllers out of 8 connected. What a SCAM!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Have to throw a positive review on here because this review score is low for how awesome this game is. Levels are whimsical, but not too hard. Anyone who gets rage baited by this game I say get gud. None of it is unfair. In fact, they give you so much momentum that you can just soar past whole sections of the map. It's always mostly the same game but there's so much variation. There's 3 different ways to race with controller scheme. 1. One person controls 2 balls, one with each joystick. (lame…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fling to the Finish, developed by SplitSide Games and published by Daedalic Entertainment, is a unique and wildly energetic cooperative platform racer that manages to stand out in a crowded genre by embracing chaos as its core identity. Built around a brilliantly simple but endlessly entertaining mechanic, the game ties two players together—literally—using a stretchy, elastic rope, forcing them to coordinate every jump, dash, and fling as they hurtle through vibrant obstacle courses filled with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fling to the Finish - This is a game where you kinda need to be nearby. It can be swingy so probably not a losers game before, like, top 4 or 6. But it's beautiful. Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 (Fusion) - I was running around a lot at this point, didn't get to see how this went. It ended! That's good! :D
positive · AI labelView post →you can fling your friends until they are finished

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool coop game. It would be fun playing with friends. Gameplay needs at least a pair of balls. It could be two players, or one players playing both. The online is not very active. The first mode I try, tournament mode, has no player. But when I went to matchmaking Race mode twice, I always found 2 Asian players in each lobby. Those players had all different names. When playing online with odd player number, each player may play a pair of balls or one of the players should control a pair of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →had a lot of fun standing next to the partner and spam the GOO button to make a big mess.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice and simple game for killing a time with friend. The gameplay is about to move two balls which are attached together with a rubber band. Players leads the balls through different kind of Crash Team Racing kind of stages and different kind of challenges, tries to beat the time records and collects rubber ducks for experience point and new maps. When leveling up, the player gets some coin to spend in a slot machine which gives three different items, which can be a different skin, a nameplate…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very funny and good coop game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All streamers and YouTubers are clearly onto something special with this game! The rope physics are incredibly forgiving—you can simply jump over most obstacles, making the movement feel fluid and empowering rather than restrictive. There are even mysterious voids that add a surreal, avant-garde vibe to the environment. It’s a brilliant example of a streamlined Unity project that stays focused and fun, offering a charming, lighthearted experience where you can uniquely switch your character…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great little local multiplayer party game. Me n the kids loved it and well worth the sale price at least. It's got a very indie vibe that I appreciate. And something unique, that there's a kind of co-op competitive aspect that just works great!
