What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 209 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (23,434 of 25,502 positive).
Players praise the game's fun physics-based RTS gameplay and satisfying explosions. [1][2][3] A few players criticize the developers' handling of a content creator incident. [4][5][6]

EDIT 13 Jun While I applaud the fast response to the situation, my review will stay as negative for two reasons: It's not counted in the overall review score, as I received Forts for free many years ago This review was made to showcase the attitude of EarthWork to the broader audience of Steam's users, not to be petty. The game itself is great. Despite being over 9 years old at this point, the physics-based RTS …

*edit* I changed the review to postive bcs the devs reverted their decision and i want to support people that can take and improve upon criticism. Great job! (old review) The devs did a pretty bad publicity stunt. No this is not "review bombing" but removing game access for a content creator that DID not intended bad faith that did free advertisement for your game is quite an interesting move.

Pros: - Explosions - More explosions - Even more explosions - The satisfying moment when your opponent’s fort collapses before yours does - Teaches valuable life lessons like “support beams exist for a reason” - My fort collapses even when nobody is shooting - Snipers who can apparently hit a pixel from across the map - The game exposes my structural incompetence - My fort collapses if someone in the room coughs …

Great game, and brings alot of new ideas to the RTS genre. small community tho, full of veterans. I got into the game watching a few streamers, but only played campaign. i still enjoy watching MP play of the game. Devs still work on the game despite its age, and new DLCs keep bringing refreshment to the game. (edit) I did change my review because of the Cloud_ drama, the devs were fairly harsh at first but corrected …

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I used to have a positive opinion of the developers, but the situation surrounding Cloud_ completely changed my view. Giving a content creator access to a new DLC and then punishing them for making content about it is absurd. What makes it look even worse is that the decision was only reversed after a strong negative reaction from the community. For me, the issue is not whether Cloud_ was banned or unbanned. The real problem is that this situation creates an impression of inconsistency and…

This is the only 3D Worms game I haven't played, and it's definitely the least talked about of the four but it's very weird and very different. There's a lot of shit in this game I've been warned about so let's buckle in www.twitch.tv/bigyellowyt
neutral · AI labelView post →Finally getting back to Worms Forts: Under Siege on stream! This game is interesting but a lot more enjoyable than I expected given the poor reception it has, will see if we can potentially wrap up the campaign today, I forget how far in I was last time www.twitch.tv/bigyellowyt
positive · AI labelView post →My first impressions of Forts new season: -Hitscan is both awesome and sucks (controller player) -Katana and Masks are giving Marvel Mythic seasons...bad -Map is gorgeous but HUGE -New moving mechanics are clunky but fun -Game runs like absolute shit, billion dollar game btw <3
neutral · AI labelView post →Scummy devs, while the game is fun, I cannot recommend anyone get this games after the stunt the devs have been pulling, banning content creators for doing what they are supposed too??? devs feel very scummy and pathetic. For more infomation look at the statments made by Cloud_ and OddBawZ

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Devs responded to community backlash really well, shows how goated these devs really are, we all make mistakes but only the best say sorry and fix it. Also great game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game isn't bad, but its not made for me, played some campain, played some multiplayer and it just doesnt click- It looked fun, I love building, I love thinking of absurd strategies. But in practice, the best thing you can do is to build a sniper and counter snipe everything, to deny the opponent from playing the game. So you will get sooner to the late game, where are guns you can not block (you destroy they offence) and then spend up third of the game beating up (almost) dead horse. (I…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I figured I would leave a positive review for this game since it's fun and cuz my friend left a negative review for the game after I beat him in one shot after he insisted he was amazing at the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hard to support a game when the devs actively push away the people trying to help it grow.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →wouldn't have bought the game if i knew the devs were just... evil? or just immature. decent game though. EDIT : situation has been resolved, though i doubt it would've without the massive backlash... who knows, maybe with enough time i'll trust the team enough to change my review, for now i'm waiting to see if any more bad decisions happen or not. long live orbital lasers.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a very fun game, HOWEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It can be very hard to master! I was stuck on one of the campaign levels for a very long time but eventually I got through it which was very satisfying. The modding is also very smooth because there's mod support by default, and if you don't like getting destroyed by sweats better players in multiplayer you can play co-op with people against bots. 9/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In ESO, The Empire controls Cyrodiil, the highways, and Imperial Tax Outposts and Forts (or rather, they did, until the Emperor was murdered before the start of the game, and now it's all war-torn...but there's enough legitimacy intact that "claim the throne" still holds weight).
neutral · AI labelView post →I've been wrapping things up in Armored Core For Answer :) Got 2 endings, and I'm on the cusp of getting the last... Unfortunately IDK quite how to initiate that last ending... Still, heck of a game~ Wildly enjoyable, the Arms Forts levels are to die for!
positive · AI labelView post →The game's premise is great, but it's held back by its development team, In terms of balance, moderation and engagement. Considering how they treat the VERY FEW people actually making content / marketing for them. I would suggest supporting another game. If the person's community didn't create backlash, you wouldn't have reversed a thing. And lord knows how you treat ones with a smaller community. And all of it for doing something you asked them to do. This event made me reconsider…

Highly recommend if you like architecture and guns. If ur here for first time and friends ask you to play it with them, don't. Instead beat the campaign first, then play online.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game may seem simple, but it is very difficult yet rewarding. I went against my friend in a 1v1, and atomized his base using incendiary missiles (one of the commander's abilities). It was a very satisfying feeling and I would love to recommend this game to anyone who likes strategy, or even those who don't (like me).

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game fit me well. The campain progresivly gets harder and mod can make more things happen. I got high seas and find the campain differant but fun. Kind of exspensive but worth it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the potential of strategies is almost unlimited, the physics is so cool that u can find weakness in opponent base and hit some vital part and win, thats the game where skill developing potential have no boundaries and you can be best at game as much as you have will to.

Certainly not bad concept for game, but its way too fast for casual players and you better be prepared to die hard in PvP.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have enjoyed this game thouroughly for the 100 hours that I have played of it. However, there are many inconsistencies and bugs that are never resolved. After the firecracker DLC, the game has become completely unstable. I have to fully delete everything of forts and reinstall it to have a chance at playing in multiplayer servers. Often times it kicks me from the game and says the host has disconnected. I thought I had resolved the issue but it seems not. My driver is not the issue, neither…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I used to love this game but the developers of this game ruined any good will Ii had for them in the past Here are just some of the main issues that really puts me off from the game from the most to least important. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's enjoyable, but the game is massively flawed in its core design. This is because it's very, extremely RNG heavy. Many matches are won or lost due to luck, or even just building too much and everything crashing down on top of you. In addition, cannons and lasers are so overpowered that they invalidate almost every other weapon. There are times where a single cannon or laser shot can win a game, and I am not exaggerating. It is fun, but I wouldn't recommend it as it really isn't the best…
