Some find the game repetitive and lacking depth, especially when played solo. [1][2][3]

Gives me major Fable vibes, especially with the humor and setting. It's a hack n slash/beat em up. The character models are all really nice looking, and the game has a lot of personality. Setting is Medieval meets Steampunk. All 4 characters play differently and each seem really fun(something for every play style). I was rockin' Friar Tuck! Lots of costumes and upgrades to unlock, which is always great to see. A few …

It's fun with friends, but it becomes repetitive and boring very quickly when played alone

$40 abandoned game with broken Co-op. Bought this game for a friend and I only to realize that anyone connected to the host will crash. You cannot re-invite them to the mission in progress, you have to restart all over. We tried switching who was hosting, same issue. I contacted the dev team via email and a rep told me they would forward my issue to the devs. After some back and forth emails where I was told to look …

Broken trash of a game. Extremely repetitive and boring combat. Invisible walls everywhere. Dumb enemies that sometimes dont even attack you at all. Terrible jumping puzzles with platforms that are surrounded by invisible walls so if your jump at an angle to platform you will fall down. If you do single jump you wont reach platform, if you do double jump you will over jump. If you have multiple monitors game will …

Dont get me wrong, this is NOT a terrible game, its just mid. Its reasonably priced and while it can be fun, soloing can eventually wear out and start to feel repetitive. Recomend playing this with randos or friends. That being said, I cannot recommend it at the state its in, if there was nuetral, id choose it. The main reason why? Bugs. Honestly there isnt alot and getting into the main game i rarely encountered …

60 of 136 · most liked firstwell, this isnt the game i was expecting. me and friends, being from nottingham, played the demo for this game and had a lot of fun and were really looking forward to it, minor points of improvement. BUT WOW this game dissapointed. first off, the minors ROBIN - robin HOOD , famous for his bow skills, robbing the rich and his iconic green tunic and pointed hat, No green tunic or pointed hat are available, its a super minor but if you're gonna mess with anything dont mess with that WORLD MAP -…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My review is for the single player offline experience only. I didn't play online at all. This feels like Valkyrie Elysium on a budget, which was Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin on a budget, which was NiOh 2 on a budget. From an overworld map, you choose a mission. Finishing a main mission opens up the next main mission. In between missions, you have a hub where you can upgrade aspects of your character. Most of the drawbacks with this game likely boil down to "small budget."…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a Vermintide style hack/slash game, based around Robin Hood and his gang of outlaws but not as deep or satisfying to play. Had they set this purely around the mythos of Robin Hood it could have been an interesting and unique setting. Instead it has a cyber punk crossover jammed in so you have Robin Hood fighting howitzers, snipers with laser crossbows, bosses arriving on flying platforms powered by plasma jets and other utterly absurd stuff. This completely trashes the feeling of playing…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I reviewed a new "worst game of the year" contender, Gangs of Sherwood. It's a co-op game that crashes if you play co-op. Read more here: www.thejimquisition.com/post/gangs-o...
negative · AI labelView post →I read the reviews but over looked them thinking its not that bad with the game crashing but it is as bad as people say. Do not buy this game as the Devs have no intent to fix this game or work on this game at all. sadly with only the couple hours of play it was fun but crashing with no way to rejoin games you were in just destroys the game entirely.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Practically unplayable. The game crashes constantly, mid-mission and in co-op sessions. Until the devs fix the crashes, I can’t recommend this game to anyone.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →We got this game to play as a family of 4 and we cannot play AT ALL. 1 to 3 of us crash every time we get into a fight. The host of the game does not crash just the other players. It is so discouraging because we got this as another way to bond and play together, even when one of us are traveling. We tried to play as a group of 2 and it worked better but we still had random crashes. There are also multiple areas of the game where characters get stuck in walls, rocks, doorways, or fall down into…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This has been on my wishlist for over a year and I was always deterred by the negative reviews. Now that its deep discounted I figured might as well try it. I'm pleasantly surprised by this game. It has a great theme, some good overall presentation. The combat is pretty basic but get more fun as you unlock more abilities. Some good character variety and skills progression. Friar Tuck is OP! This is a good buy for solo action players who are just looking for a fun, old school hack and slash…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed this immensely and feel like other people are being too harsh. It's an action beat'em up that hits a lot of the right boxes. It is on the short side, but I'm sick of games trying to overstay their welcome with needless garbage so it works ok for me. No connection issues. No issues hitting combos. People are really complaining about not being able to backtrack? It's a branching pathway, you are suppose to play it more than once to get every path (for example, little john/friar tuck…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No idea why the game has just 40% positive reviews. Bought it during sale, it is quite fun to play each character with unique abilities. I am not really into coop and usually playing solo. Did not encounter any crashes or critical bugs in singleplayer, so probably problems are in coop then.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is exactly what it looks like. It’s a simple beat 'em up set in the wacky robin hood story. I can’t think of a more “what you see is what you get” game. Now with that out of the way I can say that personally I LOVE this game! It feels like a game made for me and me alone, to pamper my wired taste in video games. I might be one of few people that enjoys games like Square enix’s Avengers or “Godfall”. I like simple grindy, combo based games much more than souls likes. And I’m…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →been spending the last 45ish minutes trying to get the screen resolution fixed. all i can see when i load the game is "gan" and "sher" of the gangs of sherwood start screen. trash game and trash devs. wont fix this after 2+ years of being out
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is based around playing coop with other people, unfortunately there are no AI teammates like in "Vermintide" games and player cannot swap between characters during the mission, because there are specific areas that are meant for each character to open them up for lootable chests. Sadly, the game is so tightly linear that there is no point even trying to find something hidden because you might accidentally step into cutscene area that afterwards prevents you from going back and look…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty mid but fair price. huge L, cannot change keybindings or controller buttons
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the most soulless game I've ever encountered. Someone sat down and made a list of what makes a successful game and realized they didn't have enough money. They then proceeded to use their game outline as a features list. This has just the enough of the basic requirements to pass as a game. They then outsourced the code writing, music and graphics to sweatshops in China. I still don't understand how someone was paid to produce this game.....in 2023.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crashes during co-op play, same as other reviews have mentioned. Disappointing as the game is fun.

neutral · AI labelView post →This game had potential, but I can not recommend it, the game just doesn't work. Multiplayer is completely broken. You load in just fine, start getting into the game, then when the first fight starts it crashes out your party members. It doesn't matter who hosts the game, or if you re-verify your files nothing fixes the issue. You can try to reach out to the so called "support team" at Nacon, but they do not respond, you can submit the issues in the official discord but they stopped responding…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →APlayerController::GetViewportSize() PlayerController.cpp:1155 UHoodAimAssistMelee::ComputScreenSpaceScore() Hood_Win64_Shipping!UHoodAimAssistMelee::FindTarget() this tells me it crashes because it tries to get the viewport size to display score ui elements while doing some attacks and it can't so it crashes. IT CRASHED MORE THAN 10 TIMES WITH THIS. It seems like an easy fix.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →crash crash and crash every time we play coop
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Extremely disappointed. I was really looking forward for this game with friends which I also convinced to get the game. 80 minutes in and there's a TON of problems. Thankfully, we were under the 2 hour mark so refunds are possible 1. Fullscreen doesn't work if you have two monitors. We were streaming the game so we needed both monitors and each time we fullscreened it would go to the 2nd monitor, which obviously caused a lot of issues. 2. We switched it to 'windowed' mode, but windowed mode…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Display settings are wonky, can't seem to get it to stick to my primary monitor. I could overlook that if the game didn't crash constantly. Our group of 3 played through the first two levels in Act 1, but every time we'd try to play the 3rd level, one of us would crash, and there is no-rejoining a match if you crash. Can't recommend if you were hoping for a fun and reliable co-op game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ignore the negative reviews and buy it its not perfect but it is a great game overall interesting story to keep you hooked, good easy to learn combat and nice characters
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beat the game in 4.3 hrs what do you think! wait till its on sale for $10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2 button mashing madness. Good looking game. They did some clever things with puppet shows and what not. Not a lotta depth.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The entire game feels cheaply-made, hallow, and lackluster as hell, which is a shame because the concept of a medieval-steampunk world could've been quite neat. Unfortunately, the story is juvenile, the writing is poor, the characters' personalities are lame, the jokes are lame, the pacing is occasionally nonsensical, the animations are okay but inconsistent, the combat is okay but feels lackluster because it lacks that oomph, and honestly the only good thing I can say about it are the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game crashes instantly when playing coop
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So first of all I love the era we are set in, I think the game is visually beautiful and the writing can be quiet witty at times, I enjoy the DMC style ranking system. But unfortunately it ends there for me, the problem with all these type of games is they go stale quickly... and when me and a friend finished playing the campaign and tedious boss encounters I don't feel this game has anything more to offer, needless to say I am happy I brought it from cd keys, i feel sorry for people who…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not worth it even if it is free. COOP unplayable due to crashing issues.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I do not understand the reviews. This game is simply fun, and I can get visuals on the Steam Deck. Easy play without general mature content.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →HORRIBLE DON'T BUY CRASHED FOR 9 STRAIGHT HOURS UNBEARABLE STEAM IS SELLING BROKEN GAMES AND WONT REFUND IT BECAUSE I TRIED TO MAKE IT WORK AND PUSH THROUGH
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Here to confirm, the game works online coop, but there are issues indeed with a specific unit type's jump ing attack, that makes coop partners crash. A workaround to that is to take turns fighting. Game host hangs back, and party fights until they die. Whenever the mission requires all party members to be present just run to a corner as host and dont press any buttons. Only happens in the last 6 missions, the early ones are fine. Interesting idea, fairly well executed, just a bit too safe and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- easier to remap my keyboard than to remap the controls in the game because it's fundamentally broken - because i have the windows taskbar on the left of the screen, then mouse in the game clicks an inch to the right of the mouse cursor in game. windowed / fullscreen mode have no effect on this issue. - no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fov / camera distance adjustment available. it's not too bad the way it is though, thankfully. - no way to start a new game?? - can't skip the cutscenes. why not?? absolutely…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →should have done my research before buying, but who goes into a game expecting it to crash all the time. This would be a great co-op game if it worked. Unreal engine always crashes any friends or guests playing with the host, only the host is safe from crashes making this a non starter when it comes to co-op.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →crash in online coop and the devs did nothing to fix it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game in multiplayer honestly keeps crashing. My bois and I cannot get past the 3 third level because apparently it has issues with selecting enemies during combat
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is entertaining but my progress wont save. I have to start from the beginning if I die. Yes i did make sure I'm running under administrator. That sucks. It might be better with friends.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best games I've ever played. Whether alone or with friends, you have a lot of fun. A big compliment to the level designers and character artists... You designed the game with a lot of love and passion, it shows. The atmosphere in every level is captivating. There are a lot of cool abilities, I especially love Robin as an archer and Maria as an assassin. It's just a shame that after 4-6 hours it's over. But in itself it is a gem of a genre. Thank you for this beautiful game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you plan to play with friends, dont bother buying the game... Can't even get through the first mission with 2 friends without one of us crashing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So the game is new, a bit hard to give a full review, but from playing a few missions both on Normal and Challenging and using the Friar (because I always play the bigger/tanky characters), and the combat felt too static, can't interrupt a combat animation leaving you open to getting slaughtered, specially fighting a boss with multiple range adds. The game is very similar to "Hood" in the aspect that you do missions to get gold to unlock combat styles. The Pros: - Good story - Graphics and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very boring game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Visually impressive. Gameplay has that clunky sticky feel you get with some unreal 5 titles. Combat is very simple and lacks variety. Maybe gets better once you unlock more moves. Encounters are samey and over too fast. They clearly put a lot of love into the story which seemed fine. Music and atmosphere are well done. I bet its much better with a group. I only played solo. I feel like plenty of people would have fun with this game for the sale price of $4. Not for me personally.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Typical mid-good Nacon AA game. One thing that is AAA is its level and environmental art design. Its just so gorgeous!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Friend got this game for me and I consistantly crash if he's the host or he does if i am. would be a fun game if they fixed it, but it appears they have no plans to further update it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →1 person online ... Game is dead AF. Wouldn't be that bad if matchmaking would be implemented (at least working one) It's not a great game but was ok to have fun for a couple of hours. Solo sucks
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like the SteamPunk / Robin Hood universe they created. This game is a Vermintide-like, but I loved Vermintide. All 4 characters are very unique/different, the gameplay is smooth (with combos like PlayStation combat games) and the graphics are stunning. I like the cosmetics and they don't have any influence on the gameplay. There are touches of humor and a nice storyline to guide you through the missions. Each mission was well thought through, with plenty of secrets, side quests, things…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing gameplay, super fun scenery, only 9 missions long.... 12 hours I had every single point spent in tuck and there was nothing left. Played coop so others were the same for their character of choice. 100% worth at 50% of its pricetag.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game makes so many stuff wrong it's makes the game annoying and boring. I cleared the first mission and it makes no fun to continue. The controls are clunky, because a good combo isn't possible with a char (played friar Tuck). Blocking and Dodging is terrible. Enemies interrupt your attacks or you need to take damage in the middle of your combo. To make a Devil May Cry kinda fighting style but giving terrible controls your character is attacking always in one direction until he finishes…
