I don't know, maybe I was playing it wrong? That's the nagging feeling I had throughout the game. I just wanted a very chill, low intensity game that lets me grow plants and decorate nice spaces. I didn't want to fill entire rooms with random plants, see them ugly and bug-infested every time I open the game and go through the same tedious steps over and over again. I was also baffled by the lack of what I thought …

🌸 Garden In! Review 🪴 A stunningly beautiful game! I loved growing all the different plants—each one felt unique. Even the same plant could grow in different ways, adding a lovely touch of variety. You could fill an entire room with just one type of plant, yet each would have its own distinct look! I was pleasantly surprised to find you can also decorate rooms with furniture. I initially thought the focus was …

I like this, it's a cute little game for relaxation. There is no currency: every decoration, flower pot, plant seed etc. is free, so you can redecorate on a whim and don't have to worry about wastefulness. Your plants also can't die, so you can leave the game for as long as you want. Apart from a clock that will speed up a little time each day (if you use it), there is no way to rush things - all this may sound …

This game looked like something that should be right up my alley, and I love the concept. I enjoyed the cute flowers and the cross-breeding aspect. The graphics are nice, and the sound effects/music lend well to the mood, though they do get repetitive fairly quickly. There was also a rewarding sense of progression for some of it, but it flatlined after a while. Sadly, I can barely recommend this game, and only if …

Its a cozy plant sim. There isn't a whole lot "to" the game, but that's not really the point. I open it for about 10 minutes at a time, sometimes less. I go through watering and disinfecting my plants right before launching another game, and then when I want to devote a little time to making new seed types, I'll use the time for quiet moments of reflection. I like the game a lot for what it does!

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Idler where you take care of plants and research new seeds. This has to be one of the most dull and unfulfilling games I played in a while. There simply isn't a whole lot to do, similar games give the dopamine rush when you see numbers go up, that's not the case here. Even the reseach aspect is very limited. The game puts bigger emphasis on pointless decorations than what should be the core gameplay, good luck cramming the things to those tiny rooms along with all the plants.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, this game feels like doing chores. Kind of my fault; I didn't realize it was an idle game. I wish the clock could be used more frequently. The way I "played" this game was: set up plants, leave screen running, go do things, come back and click on the plants. I wouldn't be upset if the plants ACTUALLY GREW when you don't have the game running... but they BARELY do. The plants dry out and only grow when watered. So to progress, you have to constantly be going on and off this game...…

neutral · AI labelView post →This game feels more like a free mobile game than something I would want to pay for on steam. It's an idle game, but there is so little to do, that it doesn't really feel like a game at all. You water some plants and spray something against the bugs, and then you close the game and come back a few hours later to do the exact same thing again. That is basically the game. You can crossbreed species, and do a bit of decoration, but it's fairly bare bones. And after that it still comes down…

Once unlocked, you will now have the ability to water and spray plants within a small radius, which is a huge help for just wanting to use this as a chill game after completion! I would certainly recommend getting this game now, the grind will feel much more worth it in the end now that you're not hand-watering/spraying 100+ plants every time you load in. Thankful they listened, now…

neutral · AI labelView post →Garden in! is a relaxing gardening game where all you do is farm. You get a few rooms to place your plants in, fulfilling objectives to unlock some decorations and vases. The game is really simple and I like that the plant still grows offline. This game is incredibly repetitive although its peaceful. Recommended if you are really bored.

neutral · AI labelView post →A chill semi-idle game about raising a variety of alien plants. Raising different species and combinations of species unlocks new seeds, soils, and room decorations to customize your growing space. Plants grow in realtime so especially early on gameplay consists of potting and watering various flowers and then coming to check up on them later. Once you've unlocked enough decorations you can then fully customize the furniture, shelving, and pots available. Plants don't die when neglected; their…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Garden In is a game where you take care of plants by planting, watering, petting, and preventing pests from eating them. There isn't a story, there isn't advanced gameplay, and there isn't dialogue. This game is solely focused on taking care of plants while also hybridizing them to create new plants while completing goals to unlock rooms and more cosmetic options. If you're fine with the content being so minimal, go for it, but this game is absolutely not my thing. I felt more numb and…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Garden In! is a relaxing gardening simulator where you grow and discover all kinds of unique plants. The art and music of this game are cozy and easy to get immersed in, and I really enjoyed unlocking all of the different kinds of plants. Many of them were unexpectedly silly or super cool, making them a delight to grow. I do wish there was more direction or more goals in this game, as the beginning feels a bit directionless at times, but I had fun chasing most of the achievements and decorating…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked the idea of an chill world where I could relax with some interior design while also having fun with some plants at the same time. Sadly, the goals to unlock more furniture and decor were incredibly tedious to reach. It became a full-on GRIND to get it done while also maintaining the plants by watering them and removing pests from them (you can't go and sleep for the night without the entire room getting filled with bugs). And after being done with the daily/hourly maintenance of the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really want to like this game...but after around 2 hours playtime I have zero desire to go back to it. I'm not sure if the game is supposed to be played with a controller, but the mouse/keyboard controls are SO BAD, and make it almost unplayable when trying to water/debug your plants. The fact that the screen zooms in and changes angle every time you click on a plant is kind of annoying, and there is no consistency with the sizing of items e.g a pencil case is almost the same size as a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to like this game based off the art style and calming vibes. I love a good idle sim, but after getting close to 100% (EDIT: You cannot get 100% the achievements are broken) in a surprisingly short amount of time, I just feel like the actual content of the game lacks depth and there's some weird balance issues that don't make the gameplay rewarding. It's like the game is fighting between being a full gardening sim and a sims-like decorating sandbox, coming out underwhelming in both…

neutral · AI labelView post →The only thing I still love about this game is the aesthetic and the premise of an afk plant game. What first felt fun eventually just felt tedious and boring. Every single plant has parasites and needs watering every single launch, even if you just checked an hour ago. There were game breaking bugs TWICE that wouldn't count the research I completed. (Which prevented me from getting all the achievements and having to start over two times) It's been out over a year and the core mechanics of the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay, so... it's a decent enough game, but I think it could use some minor changes, the main thing being that every time you load the game up, ALL your plants have parasites and need watering... it's annoying when you have 15+ plants, and makes me personally reluctant to boot up the game as I know it'll be 'click bzzz click bzzz click bzzz' over and over before actually getting into the game itself.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Soooo not really a game, i brought this expecting a bit more, i also didn't realise how little there is to do in game, I don't really find clicking into a game water and 'de-bugging' 100 or so 'plants' and then leaving for hours because there's nothing else to do relaxing, for me, this is worse than a mobile game that has limited plays tied to lives as it's basically the same thing. So if you're wondering, this is not something i'd call a game by any sense of the name, the art is pretty, and…

I want to be able to grow my plants, tend to them and harvest them in one sitting. I thought I would enjoy it, which is why I bought it, but it didn't end up being for me. And the other gameplay elements haven't managed to capture my attention enough to make it feel worthwhile. Again, not a bad game. Just not to my taste. That is the ONLY…
