Many complain about multiplayer toxicity, with frequent bans and kicks. [1][2][3][4] Some find the price too high or the controls and movement lacking. [5][6][7]

first impression of the game fun mechanics, fighting is fun kinda hard to learn at first but got the hang of it quickly i get kicked for having a specific weapon, i get kicked for winning too many times, i get kicked for winning at all, i get kicked for killing the host, i get kicked for dismembering the host, host keeps restarting whenever i kill them and eventually kicks me wtf? these are all different servers too …

Good game with fun physics my only complaint is the restricted movement (aside form weapon attacks like slashes stabs cuts etc) you can't walk very fast and the only way to avoid attacks is to block. Also they should buff blunt weapon damage.

Probably the game that made me laugh the most in my life. The gameplay, the mods, everything is really well thought out for the community. Thanks to this game, I spent entire evenings laughing with a friend. I highly recommend it !!! probablement le jeu ou j'ai le plus rigoler de ma vie le gameplay, les mods tout est vraiment bien pensé pour la communauté. Grace a ce jeu j'ai passé des soirées entière a rigoler avec …

Gladio Mori is pretty fun, alot of the negative reviews talk about multiplayer. Good luck if you want to do that...(Haven't played multiplayer) Best of all, i can run it. Unlike...the other. But overall it's very fun, already has a in-built custom move editor, custom skins, custom weapons, already a bunch of pre-defined movesets and weapons, that you can swap around if you wanted to. The rewatch function is awesome …

Fun concept ! The online part is unfortunately populated mostly by cheap racist teenagers who can't be bothered to buy the game. My experience there is getting banned before a round even started, getting banned for using different weapons than what's available in the demo, and getting banned for having a non-white avatar. There needs to be servers to take away the power granted to irresponsible little shjts.
Summarised from 34 of the 228 public posts collected about this game; every point cites the posts behind it ([n] opens the post) and the split is counted from the posts’ own ratings. Updated Oct 9, 2026. How summaries are made
81% of the 217 Steam reviewers we collected recommend Gladio Mori. The complaint that keeps coming up: multiplayer plagued by bans and kicks. Deal-breaker or nitpick?

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →dont even bother playing in publics. youll get kicked/banned by mobile players for even joining. besides that i enjoyed the campaign but i recommend just getting the demo
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the weapons feel weightless. whether you are using a kanabo or a hatchet you can never push through someone's defense. on top of it all there is very little substance to the game: a repetitive campaign (fighting the same pre-made AI builds one round after another) and then multiplayer... if you aren't into the modding scene or don't have people to play with to keep this fresh, you should avoid.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i mean its a great game overall but the controlls and movement is very bad it 100% needs some work i did enjoy the game in the time frame i played it but i dont think its worth 15 bucks they should just be like half sword and make the game a free demo untill the game is fully ironed out
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game was great, until they added Custom Moves. This resulted in people cheesing and exploiting the game, emptying lobbies, and leaving new comers completely blindsided with little to no counter. Avoid until the devs either put some limitations on the custom moves, or remove them entirely.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You may be thinking "Why review this game bad if you will still play it?" I am reviewing this game bad because of the issue involving japanese players and the Crab moveset. The Crab moveset is a moveset where your player will sit on the floor doing the splits and will do this little shimmy walk towards you at mach 10 speed with their head tucked safely behind their arms and a zweihander like a lance and will cut your body in two, and the only way to stop this is by doing the same thing, and its…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'll change this if the situation changes, but as of now... the main appeal is multiplayer. Currently, most to all demo players either ban or kick paid players for simply buying the game. The devs suggest playing creative or limitless instead of classic to mitigate this... but they don't mention that almost NOBODY hosts these gamemodes! 99% of the servers are demo-ran players running classic! It is nigh impossible to play as a paid player. Just play the demo if you want multiplayer. The devs…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I get the full game I use community fighter with mods I beat the crap out of people and choke them out 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great game but keep getting banned from most lobbies for using non demo stuff. bit of an issue tbh. i suppose just jealous freeloaders
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Clunky movement and bad physics = sloppy mess
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fun, the rest of everything about it is complete trash. The physics are jank, the "vitals" they talk about is just anything that isnt your limbs makes you die to scratches. Bleeds go to death no matter where they are meaning you get bled and you have a garunteed loss, the creators dont give a flying ♥♥♥♥ about the community suggestions to the point that one of the mods asked for a useless weapon once and it got added over the entire communites asking for axes.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →spent the first couple hours just getting divided by 2 then my ancestor walked into my room and body slammed me through my table gotten better since then
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I always get banned from lobbies just because I bought the full game ,recomed to buy and play with freinds not ♥♥♥♥♥♥ on public lobby 4/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played Gladio Mori for a bit now and i feel that it at times can be an extremely fun game especially when all players agree to certain limitations and rules, this however does not push me to recommend the game whatsoever. at time of writing this product costs 15.99 USD and i have only gotten about 11 hours of gameplay out of it much of which was filled with aggravation. the flaws to gladio mori become very apparent very quickly as you try to perform certain movements. i will put it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is very bad as of right now. you die insanely easily because this game acts as if you have no bones so even the smallest tap can kill you from lung damage, aorta damage or brain damage. the game is also very annoying because if you go through ten people then die and lose one thing you have to restart all the way over again and the movement is awful. you cant even use your mouse to swing or anything you have to use the keys J,K,I,L to attack and your swinging is very limited and it's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gladio Mori does not have a fishing minigame :(( #gladiomori #indiegame #gaming #videogames #fishing #fishingminigame
negative · AI labelView post →its a fun gladiator game sadly the multiplayer community is a bit sad because if your playing anything slightly different from others they kick you instantly
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →add scat like when someone gets split in half you see scat spill out and you accidentally eat the scat you get from them and then really like eating it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Blocking doesn't work on most movesets, you can die from just the slightest tap to the shoulder and then survive for ages while bleeding out, the movement is horrible, and the demo is honestly better than the full game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[Disclaimer: This game is nothing like Half Sword or plays like it] Seriously, reduce the scratch damage..
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game was ok. blunt force wasnt good at all and as well i did not like how all attacks are pre made and how there isnt really any freedom of how you want to move also beacuse your on a peg legs which makes movement slow and clunky
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →as you can see, i have 30+ hours. THIS GAME, is really fun. Okay? So uh, play the demo. Then buy it. its worth it...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun game but there are too many console players that will kick you for no reason infesting the multiplayer with barely any PC players
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Stabby stab stab. First of all, I’m a huge fan of physics-based fighting games, but this one doesn’t quite scratch the itch. The concept is solid, but something about the feel just isn’t quite there. Polearms and two-handed weapons are a real struggle in close encounters, especially against daggers or other short weapons. That’s realistic, sure, but it feels like I can’t do anything about it. I can’t back away quickly enough, can’t land a hit, can’t even look cool while failing. Maybe that’s…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The moveset editor in this game is what sets it apart to me, particularly when keeping classic-mode restrictions. It's kind of like if you could Toribash customise a Street Fighter character and then take them into Half Sword - you have fixed moves yeah but the dynamic physics and the way animations layer gives you a lot of room to make really cool stuff. Great game, definitely unique in its genre for that reason and a lot of fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Controls are customizable, bit wonky at first but you get used to it. I think it's a unique and fun game, not to intensive either. Could wholly recommend for the price. Worth it, try out the Demo first if you're unsure. Pretty good view of the game there.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i mean its decent but the playstyle of the game aint for me as its more complicated than half swords and overall its not really my type of sword playing game but the game is still good id still give it about a 6/10, its good if you like games similar to this but for me its not really my type
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not even fun, half sword playtest is so much better than this. not worth 150 somthing norwegian kroner. coulød have max paid 30-50 norwegian kroner for this
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Live by the sword, die by the sword. I have died by a sword and a large stick many of times. I would recommend to wait for a sale, but if you think it is worth the price, do get it. Do note that multiplayer is more fun with friends rather than randoms. I rate it 7.25 out of 10 half people and two legs ( I often get cut in half).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The 1.0 Update log is intentionally obtuse, you have plausible deniability but are, in effect, implying that there is real, tangible new content... when there isn't. A big update for console players, but they're not on Steam, so why frame it like that?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Spent 1 and a half hours making a moveset to find the 2 of the 3 gamemodes arent played, and the one mode that is played no one allows custom movesets. i still had fun... just wouldve rather used my own moves. also... the animator is kinda hard to understand and lacks customizability.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great game love the combat but b4 i got a refund i was always banned and kicked from my lobbies for using weapons from the full game by cheapskates who think buying the full game is pay to win and i find the only way to play without any issues is to play online through demo (but again nothing wrong with the game its just the playerbase) do be warned if u plan to buy the full thing
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →amazing game worst community everyone kicks you from every lobby even if you dont play bad manners
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →honestly, the game is good. good blood. good slicing/dismemberment. but i just cant get around the 15 dollar price tag. its a tad bit to much for what u get in return. if the game was $8-10 i would be more satsified. but its not. thats all.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game isnt a half sword copy it was made first and fun but needs more smooth joint physics but overall VERY GOOD
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I feel it's fair to compare this game to Half Sword, which I'd say is its peer competitor. Gladio Mori offers much more complex controls compared to Half Sword, a greater selection of weaponry and arenas, and the unique ability to create your own loadouts and animate your own movesets for those loadouts. Where this game and Half Sword differ is that Half Sword's combat is primarily driven with the mouse whereas Gladio Mori can be entirely played with the keyboard because all of the moves you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →add an actual story/campaign and this would be an easy 10/10 but since there isn't and the move-set maker is extremely annoying 8.5/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun idea but extremely poorly executed, resulting in a piece of shit with a nearly entirely botted population with some surviving pockets of children and dogs. Unless you are specifically searching for your lost 15 year old son, then don't bother with Gladio Mori. But if that is the case, then it is possible you might find him in this digital wasteland, training with weapons in the dojo, like some disabled version of Neo. Good luck in finding him, however, because there are a lot of children…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Horrible game, horrible controls, this is a game where 'get gud' except its not, the camera sucks dick, the controls are wonky, certain weapons are total shit, obviously some weapons will be better, butttttttttttt, certain weapons are not doable, dude with two axes can abuse you if you have a sword etc, it'd be better if you could actually move to dodge but it doesn't do shit, dudes faster then you which sure can make sense since he's moving forward but even with light weapons they are way…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game as a party game for when friends come over. Sadly, i couldn't find an option anywhere for other local players to have unique skins selected (and i feel i looked everywhere). The model painter was what i was most interested in, and it was a let down to see that friends are unable to select their own character to tell apart from everyone else. I think this game works best as a party game, but it is lacking a lot of features that i've seen from other party games. I gotta pass on…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simply the best physics dueling sim. It is more fun than Mordhau, Chivalry, SW Movie Battles 2, Mount & Blade (those are not physics based btw) Other physics based games that have arena modes (We Who Are About To Die, Exanima, Half-Sword) sadly are not multiplayer. Exanima is isometric (topdown to a side), WWABT - is cartoony 3d person and Half-Sword is realistic medieval one. What unites these 3 games is that attack is performed via mouse manipulation. The way you "swing" your melee weapon…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game sux, enemy loses leg and all of his blood then i try to swing sidewards at a low angle, character totally ignores the low angle part swings above him then gets stabbed by enemy who shouldve already been dead
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It’s a solid base game with a lot of potential. The foundation is strong, and a few additions could make it even better: - Smoother movement would help a lot - giving the character better foot grip would make walking backwards feel more natural and responsive. - Higher-poly characters with more detailed faces and proper skin textures (instead of PNG) would give everyone a nicer look. - New armor and weapons with finer details like latches, rivets, overlapping plates, decorations, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know how this game got in library but its been one of the most fun mindless time killers I've played, i have yet to try the multiplayer mode because i do not have friends :(
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game! This is where boys playing Half Sword turn into men. Almost infinitely more replyable compared to other gladitor combat games. 8/10, the price should be 10$ imo for this game but you can always just wait for a sale ❤️
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a boring game but its kind of fun. interesting combat mechanics. mainly using this as a substitute for half sword because i run this WAY better. 7/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gareth was not too impressed by Gladio Mori. You should read his review to find out why. www.thesixthaxis.com/2026/11/01/g... #gaming #videogames #gamenews
neutral · AI labelView post →The game is fun, and very unique! However, that said, the damage models are laughably inconsistent, I've won and lost fights where one combatant has had their entire chest and stomach cavity impaled and slashed through repeatedly, and been in no way disabled, only for the other combatant to be instantly killed by a single weapon touch to the back or shoulder. This desperately needs fixing, as it can make for extremely frustrating fights where a more skilled player does far more damage to their…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm refunding this game. As someone who's played Half Sword, this feels like a straight downgrade in controls, like going from mech fighting to remote controlling a robot. Every attack feels like guesswork rather than instinctive reflex, and while the lag and latency of multiplayer is part of that issue, so are the animations, with how slow the start-ups for the basic movesets are. The customization seemed interesting, only for me to realize that I was wasting time customizing, almost pushing…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Old Testament (39 Books) • Creation and Fall: God creates the universe and humanity (Adam and Eve), who rebel and introduce sin and brokenness into the world. • The Rise of Israel: God calls Abraham and his descendants, forming the nation of Israel through leaders and events like Moses and the Exodus from slavery in Egypt. • Law and Kingdom: God gives Israel laws (including the Ten Commandments), and they eventually establish a kingdom with rulers like David and Solomon before splitting into…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you enjoyed Halfsword you'll probably like this, too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has been my hyperfixation for several months now, if you want a TLDR: it has been very much worth the price of the game, especially as someone who likes to make creative use of physics. There are some things about the game that the store page here really undersells, namely the near endless possibilities of creating your own movesets. Tweaking the frames and experimenting with what kinds of movements generate the most speed and force at different angles really satisfies the part of my…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yes, Works well on SteamDeck. I enjoyed this game, just about every time ive played it. I put in more time in offline on the go single player mode, then I have online. Both ways this game is fun. A game well done. I really like that you can create your own skin, upload it and use it in game. This really stands out as I dont know my if any games that allow you to do so.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a very unique concept that i really do like, and the game is pretty polished for an early access. But it's base move sets are not very good and the "animate your own moves" side feels a bit cluttered and complicated, especially without a proper tutorial outside of a pamphlet. Overall it's good but it's drawbacks are are way too steep for me to see a point in keeping this game for the time being or being able to recommend this game to someone without an animation background 6/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an incredible foundation of a game with amazing potential. my issues with it are limited to a general lack of content, the single player offering are dissapointing, and the lack of options when setting up matches.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played some full game Gladio Mori, which is currently the #5th most active demo in Next Fest 🫡 youtu.be/GNrAL5_-zmY #SteamNextFest
