The game is extremely technical and complex, with a steep learning curve. [1][2][3]

Legit the best fighting game of all time, I'm not even joking. Characters are super well-balanced and are fun as hell to play as and fight against. There is SO much ♥♥♥♥ to learn in this game, Dead Angles, Roman Cancels, Faultless Defense, Slashbacks, Throw Cancels; every character feels like a walking pocket knife carrying a your father's toolbox. Music is kickASS, and really helps you lock the ♥♥♥♥ in while …

A solid fighting game with a massive roster and plenty of depth to dig into. The mechanics are rich and rewarding once you learn them, but the steep learning curve can make it tough for newcomers to fully enjoy. Matches feel fast and satisfying, though some of the older design choices show their age. Overall, it's a good pick for fighting game fans willing to put in the time, even if it won't click with everyone.

The game is great and fun, it's +R. However, the real praise I have to give is to the matchmaking system. This is by far the most effective system I have experienced with a low player count fighting game. You go to online, you hit player or ranked match, and boom you get games. Having all the players pooled into one big lobby just makes finding games so hassle free. On top of that, for whatever reason, I also find …

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think this game is the sickest ♥♥♥♥ to ever do it. Absurdly hectic and technical. A wildly diverse cast sporting some of the most absurd and broken moves I've ever seen in a fighting game. The worst character in this game has unblockables and can conceivably wall you out for ninety calendar seconds. Despite all that, this game is more balanced than most other fighting games I've played. The characters as they exist in this game have not been successfully emulated in any other fighting game,…

Edit: I regret to inform you that I play Sol Badguy now, and I fear that the hentai will follow. I apologise Holy Order Sol players, but the bible could not save me. Second Edit: I have realised the defective nature of Sol and moved to playing Robo-Ky.

Ketsui: Kizuna Jigoku Tachi Doesn't feel right leaving Viewtiful Joe, Catherine, Hellsinker, and Under Night out, but I believe this top 5 accurately represents my taste: action games interspersed with fighting games and shmups, and an odd puzzle/rhythm game every now and then.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the last Guilty Gear game before the Guilty Gear titles started including DLC. To my knowledge it is the most complete and polished of the older Guilty Gear games. A great place to start if you're looking to try out the franchise. This game feels good to play. A lot of effort was put in to make sure of that. A high quality fighting game even if it is an older one. I like the heavy metal aesthetic. That's something that really stands out among so many other fighting games.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a huge fan of fighting games, I'm so disappointed in myself for not getting into guilty gear until just a year or so ago. Strive was actually the first GG game I ever played and i absolutely loved it. So now I'd decided to take it back to an older game in the series when I saw this on sale and honestly its just great. From the awesome unique characters, to the stages and music, its just an all around great game. Now I have to say, when it comes to fighting games in general, I'm a jack of…

I could spend forever getting better at this game and consistently having fun. 2. The Wonderful 101: same as Bayonetta. 3. God Hand: not many games provide the exhilaration of a perfect God Hand run. I would have the best time spending the rest of my life perfecting my God Hand gameplay. 4. Ninja Gaiden 2: peak action groove. Playable crack cocaine. Would never get tired of it. 5.…
