Heavenly Bodies
Developer 2pt Interactive
Wrangle the hands and arms of a 1970s space cosmonaut and push, pull and twist your way through an increasingly precarious range of physically simulated stellar scenarios, where without gravity, nothing is still, nothing is secure, and nothing is simple. From the Steam store page

Players praise the chaotic co-op experience as hilarious and memorable. [1][2][3] Many request online multiplayer to play with distant friends. [4][5][6][7] Some find the controls frustrating but rewarding. [8][9][10]

Doesn't seem playtested. Several basic things need fixing before I can recommend this: - hands need to actually grab and let go reliably - hand controls need inverting - camera needs to track your rotation automatically As it is it's just annoying.

Heavenly Bodies is honestly one of the best co-op experiences I’ve ever played. I haven’t laughed this hard with friends in a long time. The physics are chaotic, hilarious, frustrating in the best way possible, and somehow it all creates real moments of teamwork and friendship that feel unforgettable. Every mission turns into pure madness and nonstop laughs. You can really feel the creativity and passion the …

This game has a brilliant co-op experience (locally or with Remote Play Together), but it's also great to play alone. You'll laugh because you accidentally grabbed your friend's hand (in-game) and then kept telling them to let go. You'll cry because you were unable to reach the flashlight on your belt for the tenth time already, or got stuck behind a vacuum tube because you forgot to turn it off. Some might feel …

This game is so infuriatingly excellent. Visually cozy but it makes you angry at the same time. The controls are intuitive but frustrating (Likely on purpose). It's hilarious and fun. Really recommend for a unique experience.

neutral · AI labelView post →Heavenly Bodies is a 2p card game inspired by Gin Rummy and Koi-Koi. Each turn is simple: draw cards and discard cards—but you have to be careful. Do you take this card now? Will it still be there next turn? Players *must* balance their choices against reading their opponent’s goals.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played this game solo and on the couch with 3 others, works perfectly. Ejecting friends and key equipment is very funny. Only annoyance was fighting over who was what colour and what colour corresponded to each player number, but that isn't important really. Overall, amazing game, highly recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Funstrating" Fun + Frustrating Pros: Interesting premise with a unique control scheme. Charming visuals with a neat difficulty curve. Cons: Personal gripe, You control your characters arms based on the PLAYERS perception of the characters body. Meaning, the right thumbstick will control the characters left arm if it is on the right side of the screen, controls are constantly swapping as you spin around. would prefer the thumb sticks be directly tied to your characters arms. 'Right…

neutral · AI labelView post →Bit of an odd week, but good! Played a lot of @marcelineleiman.bsky.social’s new Heavenly Bodies, one round of @cityhare.studio’s Crow’s Nest, and my first loss of All is Bomb from @letibus.bsky.social. I also have been playing the same Innovation game on BGA lol.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →These are PC games (either co-op adventure or party games) than can be played locally and that I have enjoyed myself (in no particular order). Bold ones are my fav. - A way out - **It Takes Two** - **Split Fiction** - biped - **Pizza Possum** - Bokura (2 PC with 2 games are required) - **Heavenly Bodies** - KeyWe - Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime - Moving Out - PlateUp! - Tools Up! - Buissons - **Boomerang Fu** - Wee Tanks!
positive · AI labelView post →I never played this alone, and can't really imagine somebody can do that, since it just feels like an experience that thrives on cooperation. Speaking of that, it should really have a third, online multiplayer option along with SP and co-op. Setting up remote play was not a big hastle, but still left a bad taste.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’m commissioning Justin for a $50 piece based on my new card game Heavenly Bodies. I’ll be raffling it off at my booth throughout Indie Games Night Market. Each raffle ticket will be $5 and any money I make over $50 will go directly back to Justin.
neutral · AI labelView post →Throwing my friends out the airlock made this game all worth while. Definitely recommend on sale, a little short for $20.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played two lovely 2p games by @marcelineleiman.bsky.social this weekend that I picked up at PAXU - High Tide and Heavenly Bodies. Both are fun and very thinky in different ways. High Tide seems cozy but has some tension with every move. Heavenly Bodies is stellar, turning Gin Rummy on its head.
positive · AI labelView post →I spy Heavenly Bodies!!! 🔎 👀 So excited to see the game get played and read Dan’s thoughts on it!! If you want to get a copy: I’ll have 50 of them specially printed for Indie Games Night Market during Pax Unplugged!!
neutral · AI labelView post →Love how challenging the game is. It is frustrating yet addictive. tried to introduce to my friends but unfortunately none of them seem interested. I guess this game is either a love or hate.

neutral · AI labelView post →If you have someone to play with, yeah, just buy it already. Its an easy laugh, accessible for everyone, and short lived. If anything it is quite short so get it on a discount.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Playing this either alone or multiplayer are both equally as fun, adding a listen along with Interstellar music on spotify and trying to time cool moments with the cool moments in the music just makes the experience much better.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was exhilarating. i laughed, cried and said unspeakable words. The best part of this game is Newtonian. Getting stuck in an open space and your buddy wont do nothing for you. There was a couple levels we spent an hour fighting over a hose just to find another one on the other side of the room. Then trying to drift away from the spaceship while he fly's after you. So if you want to fight over who gets the Rachet and why he cant fit in a air duct. Did he pack 3 Big Mac's before going on…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- Absolum - Brotato - Crawl - Ember Knights - For the King 1&2 - Lovers in a dangerous spacetime - Rotwood - Dome keeper - Heavenly Bodies - Sea of stars - TMNT: Splintered fate These are all I could recall for now and since I don't know what type of games you prefer specifically I just dumped a list of the games that I enjoyed playing with my GF and friends recently. Hope it helps!

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Local co-op only just isnt acceptable tbh. One player gets to enjoy input lag and sub 50 fps lol
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →playing with my friends is like playing by myself but harder
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would strongly recommend this to someone who wants a long but fun game to play alone or with a few friends
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've seen so many others play it, and it's one of those games that you see someone play and think "Come on, I can do better than that" only to get very frustrated and struggle just as much. I want to play it again to get all the collectables xD I think I'll drag my friends on here with me to do that venture to share the pain
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Might switch away from MSpaint, cause I'm starting to see the benefit of being able to fix spelling mistakes without needing to manually crop text. Games Mentioned: Slay the Princess, Heavenly Bodies, Here Comes Niko!, Opus Magnum

neutral · AI labelView post →making controls dificult and bugy as a feature to make the game difficult is not a smart solution no fun , upsetting and time consuming because controls are insanely difficult with absolute ♥♥♥♥ camera control work on puzzles rather than sabotaging your controls 30 min mission would take 5 min if controls were smooth the developers know this and don't improve their game mechanics. a game than could be 8/10 is just 5/10 because of non-fun concept
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →they should add online multiplayer
