Hitman: Contracts
Developer Io-Interactive A/S
Hitman: Contracts is a 2004 stealth video game developed by IO Interactive and published by Eidos Interactive for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 2 and Xbox. It is the third installment in the Hitman video game series, and serves as both a remake of Hitman: Codename 47 (2000) and sequel to Hitman 2: Silent Assassin (2002), incorporating gameplay elements introduced in the latter into missions from the first game,… From Wikipedia (CC BY-SA 4.0)

What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 184 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (3,219 of 3,710 positive).
Players praise the game's dark atmosphere and soundtrack as unmatched in the series. [1][2][3] Some note that the game has technical issues and requires fixes to run properly. [4][5][6] Several reviewers appreciate the remade levels from Codename 47 but find the story confusing. [7][8][9]

Not my cup of tea, although if you are a fan I recommend you buy it. Hitman: Contracts is a way more better compared to the last two instalments and I definitely had more fun playing. However the game is buggy and janky as ♥♥♥♥. When I look at my map the time freezes unless I move the mouse. Also I had to install fixes just for it to work better. The remaster of Codename 47 is kind of nice aswell (although cheap) as …

Hitman: Contracts isn’t the most ambitious or polished entry, but it’s one of the most atmospheric. It’s a game that thrives on mood and mystery, even when its mechanics show their age. For fans of slow, methodical stealth and dark storytelling, it’s still a rewarding experience. Final Score: 7/10 Stylish, haunting, and sometimes clunky — a chilling chapter in Agent 47’s long career.

Time has done notable justice to this entry, one that got overshadowed by being something of a remake of Codename 47 and the game right before Blood Money. Contracts, with its dark atmosphere and Jesper Kyd's soundtrack (whose absence has been a massive loss for the series) is simply unmatched. The atmosphere here is defined by missions like a BDSM party in a slaughterhouse, a Siberian assignment with relentless …

I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS GAME However I also don't dislike it, It has so many flaws starting with actually running the game, its a hassle getting it run in modern hardware and when you do the UI is so small. Second the story; Its all over the place it started good recapping where the first game left off in a remastered way but after that you are thrown into missions without explanation on why you are there or why you …

Hitman: Contracts is a game that I remember loving back in the day, but unfortunately doesn't quite stand up to the other games in the series. The atmosphere is top-notch with weather effects like rain and snow in almost every level (since the game's story is told as hallucinations in 47's mind of past hits), and the gameplay is great for those who liked H2: SA's mechanics. However, the disguise system actually …

88% of the 184 Steam reviewers we collected recommend Hitman: Contracts. The complaint that keeps coming up: technical bugs and launch issues are common. Deal-breaker or nitpick?
Critics, per Wikipedia
Hitman: Contracts received mostly positive reviews. Critics praised the improved gameplay elements, graphics, soundtrack, darker tone and atmosphere, while criticism was directed towards the familiarity and the lack of significant changes and additions from the previous game. Although GameSpot's Greg Kasavin liked that some of the missions from Hitman: Codename 47 are featured here with graphical enhancements, he did feel it was a "cheap move." Kasavin also criticised the normal difficulty in the game; he felt it was too easy and that players can take the 'Mass Murderer' route with little to no consequences. Air Hendrix of GamePro said of the PlayStation 2 and Xbox versions, "In this…

neutral · AI labelView post →Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is my favorite game of 2024 and I'm absolutely shocked by this. The Forgotten City with Machine Games storytelling. Sometimes Dishonored, often Hitman. But really, a whole new blend of first person experience.
neutral · AI labelView post →I will say, First Light has one of the biggest guffaw moments I have had in a modern video game. People forget how much of Hitman was a comedy game and 007 carries that forward.
neutral · AI labelView post →I’m only a few hours into 007: First Light (review code went out very late) but I *love* it so far. Delightful mashup of Hitman and Uncharted, with impressive storytelling chops. Been a minute since I’ve been this into a triple-A game. And I’ve never even seen a James Bond movie
neutral · AI labelView post →I think it’s funny that after Luigi did his thing the media went wild about Among Us but no one ever touched on the fact that there is a game called “Hitman: World of Assassination”
neutral · AI labelView post →My daughter peeked over and saw me playing Hitman. She says it's a hide and seek game which is what the genre should be called (i have to play without killing anyone now)
neutral · AI labelView post →Indiana Jones is the best slapstick game since Hitman.
neutral · AI labelView post →Was gonna be a skip, but invoking The Forgotten City, Dishonored, and Hitman really is the key to make me play any game.
neutral · AI labelView post →the best video game combat system is in the Hitman series because you can kill a man by throwing a banana at their head

neutral · AI labelView post →>enters the DJ booth >says he's here "for the next set" >spins half of one song, fucks up the lighting cues so bad someone dies >refuses to elaborate >leaves Hitman 3 truly DOES have the most realistic video game nightclub.
positive · AI labelView post →HITMAN is my favourite game & the series has been a favourite of mine for 2 decades, but I don't like the direction the series has taken. It is FOMO the game. For a decade I've disliked the online requirement and elusive targets. But now we have constant twitch drops and time limited celebrity DLC
neutral · AI labelView post →Working on my video but I concur with this score. It's a tremendous experience and possibly the best Bond game ever made. It's amazing to see IOI grow into this as they leverage everything learned from Hitman while building new skills.
neutral · AI labelView post →I was wondering how much HITMAN was going make its way into IOI's James Bond game, and this gameplay explainer left me pleasantly surprised. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShUy...

neutral · AI labelView post →"James Bond as a Hitman game" feels like a sliced bread level entry of this is so obviously exactly how it should be how the hell did it take this long for someone to come up with it idea genre

neutral · AI labelView post →I wanna play the James Bond Hitman video game
neutral · AI labelView post →Turkey's Yusuf Dikec has fanart, anime, and game culture obsessed. This is just a sample; even Hitman the game is obsessed and sharing fanart of him. Dikec is being called "Uncle-free-to-play" likening him to a skilled uncle gamer who never needs to spend money in games.

neutral · AI labelView post →calling Donald Trump "45" was corny but these same fools don't realize calling him "47" now will make gamers associate him with Agent 47 from the popular video game series Hitman and think that he's cool like Agent 47 the video game assassin
neutral · AI labelView post →Was expecting the new Indy game to be first-person Uncharted, but I'm surprised (and delighted) to discover that it's more like a Broken Sword type adventure game spliced with, curiously, Dishonored and Hitman.
neutral · AI labelView post →Hitman is so interesting because it looks like a sneaky action game but really it's a puzzle and a timing game. It's weirdly the same general concept as Night Trap and Double Switch, those notorious FMV games from the Sega CD era
neutral · AI labelView post →Hitman but it’s cyberpunk Seoul and you play as whatever this thing is might actually work as a game concept.
neutral · AI labelView post →De-duplication was also a big part of Hitman 3 being only 60GB in file size, yet containing the equivalent content of 3 games + DLC: www.pcgamer.com/how-hitman-3... Massive props to both ioi and Nixxes for great technical accomplishments! Which sadly makes other 100GB+ games feel all the weirder.

positive · AI labelView post →One of my favorite franchises ever. Once you realize Hitman is a puzzle and timing game and not an action game, it really changes the perspective.
