First 5 minutes into a match and a *very* British sounding fellow charged me with a bayonet saying he was going to do vile things to me then spit on my corpse. This game did not disappoint, however it feels like a majority of the playerbase is slightly ♥♥♥♥ erotic, very historically accurate tbh.

Played this game for quite some time. Cheaters exist but they're kinda rare. I always played on the official servers to avoid cheaters as much as possible but occasionally I'd run into one here and there. While playing on an official server, I reported a guy who was making impossible melee attacks WHILE blocking. Dude was murdering player after player after player after player using nothing but a flag all while dodging bullets like neo. And killing players with said flag from like 20m+ away.…

Join in game and immediately hear "Twas a bit of a miscalculation" as a rocket shoots haywire at nothing. Then I see two men get ran down by a horse only for one to stand back up and shoot the horse in it's posterior. The cavalry man survives and kills the shooter with his pistol. The cavalry man is then blown up by a rocket and someone yells "KOBE" in the distance. 10/10

Just a fun, quick to pick up and play game. I generally end up laughing my buttocks off. Random people talking to themselves or talkin smack to other players as they engage in 1 on 1 combat. People take the musician role very serious. Melee combat is fun, able to block and attack in 4 directions. Can also be played serious with more historical minded players. There are servers that host more organized events. The new Age of Sail update transforms the game into Pirates of the Caribbean…

This game has only gone downhill over the years, there is no incentive in-game to conduct line battles. Everything is a skirmish and the matches are rampant with BMers. Sappers, Officers, and Standardbears placing a spawn tent right outside of the enemy main spawn and causing disruption. Not to mention that they've ruined ballistics. Rifled Firelocks seem like a joke, the ball hits the ground at 50m and rolls uselessly toward the enemy. A far cry from the real life effective range of 300+yards.…

This was a great game at one point but not its sucks it went downhill so bad. I ran a regiment that i have now given to someone else because I can't do it anymore. Every time I join its either getting spawn camped to the point you can't fight back or leaver spawn. Or your team beelining it to enemy spawn to make a perimeter to spawn camp them. Unfortunately my mental ilness made me to buy the BF6 before I found Holdfast. It's an indescribable feeling when you attack a fortress with your brothers in arms. Unfortunately some Fortnite kids turn on their annoying stpd music then you muted them and continue to enjoy the game. And my special thanks for the players who acts like they're on a battlefield, stands in line, follows the officers' orders, and, of course, sings songs in formation, the highest degree of immersion. Fun game that I really loved, and had tons of friends buy, but my opinion of it is forever soured by how they handle moderation. This is a PSA. the MODERATION of this game is DISHONEST and Upsetting. If you are muted by an admin/moderator you will never be notified. Instead everything appears normal to you. But not a single person in game can hear your voice, or read your text in chat. Your custom music will not play. You will spend a bunch of time pointlessly troubleshooting. At any time…

A sad example of what happens when developers neglect and abandon their core communities to make money, leading to boring gameplay and a fractured community. First off, this game used to be a lot of fun and brought me a lot of joy, but as it stands it's unfun to play and only has about 10 hours of playability before the novelty wears off (unless you're playing high all the time). The abuse I have received in this game is unlike anything I have ever seen. An old rogue likened me to a small child - the audacity! - and some jesuit doubted my capabilities as captain, mocking my name and my abilities to command a vessel - by God, this is hardly the conduct of a worthy man, let alone a gentleman in the service of His Majesty's navy. Melee is pure mysticism, you press a button to enter melee mode, (no quick melee attack button, you have to enter an entire mode.) attacking and blocking direction are determined by either the way you are moving your camera or character, go to settings and change it back and forth 3 times until it lines up with what it says and does. (maybe), its like putting in a usb drive on the third try. if you said your prayers to King George, you might go 5-4 in melee combat in a match and feel like you…

I HIGHLY recommend Holdfast: Nations At War for the same experience nowadays. There's usually 1-2 full 150 player servers running in the browser, and you start to recognize the slaughterers and shitters over time. If you're looking for a hardcore military sim like Arma 3 or Squad...this is not the game for you. Holdfast is much more fast paced and, quite frankly, insane. That is not to say it's all run and gun, just more so than some other titles. The insane part comes with the constant mic spamming. I view it as people being goofy and free spirited, so it's actually nice to see people having fun in their own chaotic way, especially in this day and age. Holdfast: Nations At War isn’t as crazy funny as I expected, but it’s fun in its own way. The game focuses on historical battles, teamwork, and strategy, with players controlling soldiers or ships in big multiplayer fights. It’s a mix of shooting, melee combat, and coordinating with your team, which makes it pretty engaging if you like that style.

Is a game, if I recommend or not depends entirely on my mood on the day. Today is a yes. Tomorrow will be a no. Who knows about in a weeks time.

This game is brilliant I haven’t had this much fun in years! Soon as I join a game somebody has already f***ed my mam which takes me back to old school banter unless your a fairy.

A spiritual successor to the Mount and Blade Napoleonic War mod, very fun especially with buddies.

Absolute great game, 150 player lobbies, and the community is sooo funny, from role players to straight up toxic MFs haha

The community and people actually chatting in game GOATED. The game modes and objectives GOATED.. Game is fun as hell but good grief the hit registration and shooting and melee mechanics in this game is so cancerous It will make you rage at some purely bollocks deaths and then laugh 2 seconds later by a whole squad getting vaporized by artillery. Before the rant other things. The Graphics, garbage looks like a cheap BioShock ripoff with how cartoony and just bad it looks when it was made in…
