Some note the game feels janky and repetitive, with clunky melee and a disappointing story. [1][2][3]

Hidden gem and great example of what fantasy used to be. None of that FoR MoDeRn AuDiEnCe lunacy we get nowadays. Just a bald man and his hot and badass elf slaying hoards of evil spawn.

The most "Mostly Positive" game I've played recently, it's good! Mostly. The story, while badly written (with honestly laughable dialogues), has a good premise, and I actually got intrigued by some of it. The two main characters have good contrast and some chemistry, akin to teenage bros. The game is stylish, and the scenarios are pretty interesting. While I am not a great fan of stone dungeons, the levels in the …

Hunted the demons forge is an afternoon of fun that has been long forgotten by gamers overtime. This game is hack and slash fantasy mixed with the cover shooting of something like gears of war that was famous in the early 2010s. It is a product of its time that can be played co op with a friend! This game is a must play for fantasy fans and people who love 260/ps3 era games. 7/10 cant go wrong with the non sale …

It’s like someone mashed Gears of War with Lord of the Rings and accidentally created a janky xbox 360 era coop game. The golden age of coop.

Critics, per Wikipedia
Hunted: The Demon's Forge received "mixed" reviews on all platforms according to video game review aggregator Metacritic. In Japan, where the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions were ported for release on August 25, 2011, Famitsu gave both console versions each a score of two sevens, one eight, and one seven for a total of 29 out of 40. The Escapist gave the Xbox 360 version three stars out of five and said, "Good for a quick and fun diversion, Hunted is far from the perfect coop game or fantasy dungeon crawl, but the storytelling almost makes up for it. Almost." Digital Spy gave the same version three stars out of five, stating that "the muddy graphics and frequently questionable design…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →8/10 - Based off 2011 Standards If you don't mind playing an older game this is one is pretty good, it's got good combat, sexy characters, a decent enough story, it's a shame it got passed over by so many over the years but sometimes gems fall through the cracks, but if you can handle playing a older type of game then this one is worth it, but as always, It's.. Up.. To.. You, and i'll leave it at that (^_−).

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good game. I'd played this game before(PS3) and it was fun. Melee battles a little bit clunky, but bow fights is ok. Chemistry between E'lara and Caddoc is my favorite kind of relationships. Story is decent and i think devs draw some inspiration from LotR to worldbuild.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is really good. Its very simple, not complex. Its stupid fun and has great dialogue and a nice story. Its nothing MAJOR, but its still amazing. Better than the AAA slop we get fed. This game was made when Unreal Engine 3 just came out and was basically a promotion for it. It runs very well but is a bit janky at times. Overall I can't recommend it enough. A hot chick and an kick-ass dude killin demons. Theres also multiple endings.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice game, fun levels, story was sadly a little disapointment, even good ending. Worth to play these days, graphics still looks good in 2023 in 4k. Great main characters, all other are bad. Worth getting on a sale.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played it long ago, on release. I have just completed this unfairly underrated icebeg of gold. Before I started, I though I remembered the game much better that it was actually was. it turned out way better than I remember it be. Best game experience I had in a last couple of years. Fun, intence, encouraging. 20 hours of gameplay and 95% of it is: action, jokes, story, action and rewarding exploration, action. Totally different from nowadays AAA, which in most cases are 80% of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Highlight of this game is constant banter between E'lara and Caddoc and the voice acting. I liked the constant wave of enemies during combat and some of such battles were really tough . Graphics and character design are very good for a 2011 game. I played this game in Win 11 without any issue. However, the ending was underwhelming but i got good ending.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game, though its age shows. Range combat is far superior to melee. Choose 4 skills and focus only on those.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For 2011 game it still kicks ass! Main characters' interactions and sarcastic dialogues are the best part. And you can still play it in split-screen co-op with NucleusCoop tool.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a great RPG with a good storyline. The graphics are just as good as $ 60 games and it is less than $ 10. You really get your money's worth out of this game and it would be a shame for you to miss out. So if you love a good story and love RPG games I really think you should consider adding this masterpiece to your collection.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wish this still had co-op. It does however, still have E'lara and Seraphine.

neutral · AI labelView post →I wouldn't go as far as to call this game a hidden gem but if you're from the X-Bone/360 era of brown/gray color scheme splashed all over the place, run/cover/dive gameplay, and want a fantasy twist. Look no further. Co-op is broke but fixes exist for it if you're willing to look. Its blast from the past with very 2000s gameplay for $5. I recommend it because I miss those days but this game is far from amazing. It does just enough right to be a fun trip into a more simple time.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good game with decent graphics for it's time with good gameplay and great synergy between the human wwarrior and elf ranger. Having fun with it so far.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another game from the golden age of games (2004ish-2014ish) It has armor, weapons, visual representation of equipment on the character, blood, head explosions, fun gameplay, interesting enough story, co-op (use Hamachi, there's a guide on here on how to use it to play with friends), the list goes on. This is a wonderfully made passion filled game that you should not pass up! Don't drink the SLEG!!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an underrated game that more people should know about. It starts slow, but it picks up later with good action sequences. Too bad sometimes it becomes a hack and slash / button-mashing fest. And if you play single, sometimes you feel overwhelmed (your AI-ally will never fight like a human would). Clearly a game made for co-op. But I´m having fun, it´s a good game to play from time to time. EDIT 0: If playing single, I suggest you play with the elf archer at all times. The human partner…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Underappreciated gem. LAN works just fine, didn't need any extra apps to make it work.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is not bad even after so many years. Good story, not a bad upgrade system. The downside is that the AI picks up weapons but not potions. When you choose it, it either has worse weapons or is without potions. The balance and bugs are mostly because the game is old, like non-exploding arrows or lack of accuracy or the warrior being physically weaker than the elf archer, which is from the balance. It's no problem that the elf is durable (probably because she's a badder girl) But he's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is not local co op. If you are purchasing for this reason do not. But playing it through single player. Loads of fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quality game. Surprisingly stable for an early 2010's console port. There's multiple endings making it worth playing again. Buy it on sale if you want a solid 10 hour single player game with decent ranged and melee combat.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can see the appeal for an older title and why others would like it, and if i'd played it at the time it was released, sure i'd probably have loved it...but now it just seems a bit boring, clumsy and repetitive from the get go for me unfortunately, nothing really inspiring me to push on or care about what is happening. Probably better if the co-op was still a thing!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →High fantasy Gears of War. 11/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Coop for this game died with GameSpy FeelsBadMan
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun game but sadly co-op doesn't work through steam because past gamespy integration. If you want to play with someone you live with you can use the LAN setting, or if you have the patience to setup some software you can play with someone online still.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I haven't finished it yet, but I'm really enjoying this game. Aside from some side quests and little secrets, the game is linear (as many games were of that era), but despite its simplicity, it's an enjoyable game. The characters are likeable, they're different but also similar in ways. The game is made for normal audiences, not heavily influenced by ridiculous publisher's requests to appease fake fans, who'd only look at the game to cry about the female character design. The combat is simple,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun dark fantasy romp - still looks really good with some pretty impressive, huge levels - bald dude is kinda boring to play since the melee is very basic but the elf has different arrows and stuff enabling some tactical play - some fun secrets and exploration It gets kinda repetitive around Chapter 3 but since this is like 5 euro even when not on sale i aint complaining, i had fun while it lasted
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game.. is average personified, nothing that gets out of the ordinary, but also not that horrible of a game either. This game begins with an interesting premise: A duo of mercenaries meet a morally ambiguous goth mommy looking girl, whose motives wont be made clear until the end, which grants you power to go stop the evil that is threatening the land. The environment is so similar to the Lord Of The Rings universe but back then, pretty good looking. The enemies are well designed, the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very nice slasher with pretty decent graphics even for 2024 (if set to use DirectX11 and 2K resolution), sexy protagonists, fantastic voice work and nice enough lore. However, the gameplay is extremely repeatative and the game constantly pushes your forward. It can get tiresome and frustrating, so better play in short sessions with big breaks between them. Also, the switching between the protagonists mechanic doesn't really amount to much and I, for example, barely used it, opting for Elara…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →7/10 Played with mouse and keyboard For those that remember, this is pretty much Gears of War with swords and arrows. Granted, I don't feel the cast and story is as memorable. The game is old but the game play still feels like it flows well although it might get repetitive. I like the world and setting. The hidden side paths are usually an interesting break from the main story. Nothing too complex. There are some glitches that can cause problems but nothing I found that made the…

Introduction • Game Title: Hunted: The Demon’s Forge™ • Release Date: June 3, 2011 • Game Type: Third-person linear fantasy action-adventure • Playtime: 12-15 hours • Overview: Hunted: The Demon’s Forge™ is a third-person hack-and-slash and shooting action game set in a typical medieval fantasy world. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is not a bad game, it is not a good game. This game is from the era where there were simply mediocre games. And it is a mediocre fantasy slasher game. There are some tedious moments, some trash moments, but overall it is simply OK.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I absolutely LOVE this game. I love games you can play solo. The AI Bot is good, and helps you out. I can't believe this game is that old and still looks very good. The voice acting is really good. The male character sounds a lot like Jason Statham, so bonus points for that. The dungeon dwellers are mice and varied and the quests are fun. Honestly, this is one of my favorite third person Dungeon Crawlers. I can't get enough. I'd love the developers to make a sequel! It kept me engaged all the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is this game "good"? No. It is very much a product of its time and environment, that being old generation consoles. It's at best a mediocre title. But you know what the game DOESN'T have? Forced diversity, ugly females, microtransactions or any of that modern day gaming nonsense. So for One Fiddy it's perfectly acceptable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hunted feels like the comfort B movie you watch when you've got a bad cold. It's comfortable, brain-dead and fun. If you want to play a duo of not-so-self-centred mercenaries killing the equivalent of half of Mordor's army, go for it.
