What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 169 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (3,324 of 3,533 positive).
Some reviewers note technical issues like crashes and resolution problems requiring mods or tinkering. [1][2][3][4] The game's humor and meta-commentary are highlighted as charming and engaging. [5][6]

This is a late review for those considering this game in 2024. The PC port of this game has a lot of issues. First, getting the game to work in the native resolution of my computer was a hassle. Then, the game doesn't support Steam controller settings and have to resort to 3rd party key mapping software. I hope the devs could make an official patch to fix those issues. But for now, I don't recommend this game for …

Continuation after rebirth 2. By far this is the most polished and better version than RB2. The story intense escalated quickly, interesting and much fun rather than before, improved HUD, no crash so far, autosave featured after chapter ends and much more. Good to give it a try. But ps : english voice line unavailable for this series Also, stop with the hate with Plutia pls. Plutia > all

This is the BEST Neptunia game hands down, being the only one of them with "Overwhelmingly Positive" reviews is a statement to that. Gameplay wise its your typical Neptunia turn based RPG, you position your character around and try to strike as many enemies as possible, you beat monsters and get XP and material, what makes it fun is the "remake" crafting system present since the first Re;Birth, You collect materials …

Story (9/10) If I may say that the story of Neptunia Rebirth 3 is the best compared to the two previous series. Starting from the plot of Neptune who was transported to another dimension and it turned out to be a game industry from a different universe. There it turns out that Neptune again has to defeat an evil boss called the Seven Sages. with the help of the new character Plutia (iris heart) together they defeat …

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →HYPERDIMENSION NEPTUNIA RE;BIRTH 3 Re;Birth 3 is yet another lovely and memorable entry in the Neptunia series, and honestly, it deserves way more credit than it sometimes gets. Right from the start, the game has that same cozy, familiar charm the series is known for, and it tells a story that genuinely sticks with you even after the credits roll. Story & Character Growth I know not everyone was thrilled with how Neptune treats Nepgear early on in the story and yeah, fair enough, it's…

neutral · AI labelView post →What I liked: * Turn based combat is solid. * Story is hilarious with serious moments to maintain the tension. * The characters are likable * The difficulty is well balanced, not counting some deliberately hard side-quests, but that's intentional. * The art-style is well made. What I disliked * To avoid crashes, you need to install a mod, but that can be found 4-GB patch in the community tab. * Lack of a complete English Dub, but the re-translation mod, also in community tab fixes this. I…

Gameplay wise there's not much of a difference than 2 aside from the fact that the UI changed a bit and hidden items are now in mario jump boxes instead of searching area. -The story is better, much better connected, and longer than both 1 and 2 -The characters are better developed -There is more to do in terms of dungeons than 2, and the dungeons are more purposeful than 1 Overall, if you enjoyed Rebirth 1 or 2, you would definitely…

My son got this game from his uncle, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 24 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So I decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wish I could make this a mixed review because I really don't know whether to recommend it or not. This Neptunia game takes place after Rebirth 2, and features a villain called Rei Ryghts, who thinks that Gamindustri is better off without CPUs. She then sends Neptune into another dimension after being given powers by someone I like to call 'Evil Histoire'. Now Neptune has to find a way back home... eventually. On her journey with doing this, she also has to help her newfound friends battle…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you’ve ever wondered what it would look like if the 1980s console wars were personified by anime girls who eat too much pudding, welcome to Neptunia. Re;Birth3 is a vibrant, meta-commentary-heavy RPG that takes the series back to an alternate version of the past—specifically, a parody of the 1989 gaming industry. The humor is the real driver here. Neptune, the personification of a Sega console that never existed, is a fourth-wall-breaking machine. She knows she’s in a game, she knows when…

Our Favorite protag and her sister are thrust into another Dimension, a separate hyper dimension if you will, and most importantly we are introduced to a Planeptune whos Goddess isn't our well known short haired 4th wall breaker but a shy, quiet, dominatrix. This game (subtly) tells us why A bigger, older looking and still very irresponsible version of our Goddess with longer hair is able to go dimension hoping for bugs. this 3rd…

I played Victory on PS3 first, got the Platinum trophy on it, and then went onto rush through Re;Birth3 practically immediately after. And I didn't really like it. I had issues with the PC port, the gameplay loop and the lack of the scouting system from the original. I didn't like the change to the SP mechanic and my game would often softlock when I…

Overall there's not much more to be said that hasn't been said already by many other people. The game is yet more of the same and if you enjoyed Re;Birth 1 and/or 2 then you'll enjoy this. This is a sequel of 2 and takes you to a different dimension at the hands of the main antagonist Rei Ryghts (cute voice btw). I enjoyed the game however I have a few quibbles to…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3 V Generation is a remake-style JRPG that leans heavily into comedy, meta commentary, and the series’ playful obsession with gaming culture. It’s colorful and charming in a very specific “Neptunia” way, mixing lighthearted storytelling with a surprisingly robust set of RPG systems. If you enjoy self-aware dialogue and don’t mind a lot of reading, it’s one of the stronger entries in the Re;Birth line. At its core, the game is built around turn-based battles,…

The problem is that the colliseum stuff is level 900, and after beating the game with a little bit of grinding + the exp boost DLC i was maybe level 95? The only way to get there is repeating the same mob which gives ridiculous exp and around 10ish + hours of grinding it and it alone for level 900+~, or spend…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was quite the upgrade compared to previous games, could have also become my favourite in the series so far if not for the increased bugs and an especially annoying character. For starters, graphics and music are about the same nice quality as the other games, so that's good. Although the UI overhaul was definitely appreciated, they did well there, practically everything got changed. I think the biggest change was the menu and Stella's Dungeon, both of which are certainly a lot better. I…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Now that I finally got all the achievements for this Neptunia game in particular, I can say it's my long time favorite game of the series (played it before, just another platform), and clearly better than Re;Birth 1 and 2, being the most polished game of the trilogy. Because, let's be honest, Re;Birth 1 destroys the original story in a disgusting way, so it's the worst version of the Superdimension story, with Victory gameplay and that's it. And Re;Birth 2 is just mk2 with a few changes, more…

WARNING: just like with the first and second game of the Re;Birth set, you MUST have Windows Redist 2012 for x64 and x86 installed manually, or this game WILL NOT run. There may be other problems that you encounter as well, due to mistakes made in the overall make-up of the game. I cannot call it plug-and-play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have very mixed feelings on Rebirth 3. On one hand it a decently enjoyable mainline game which a different twist on the characters, but on the other hand the way Neptune acts towards Nepgear/how she lets Iris heart treat the younger sisters feels off putting and out of character. So while I do recommended it for the story, it is very much the worst of the 4 mainline games.
