I was reading an AI blurt telling me that people don't play or buy short, linear and very story driven immersive FPS anymore. Maybe that AI was right, maybe people only care for online dopamine machines that give people 500 hours of grinding, maybe that is what the people want and that is what the industry provides. Endless, samey, dystopian trash, to last for lifetimes. Say no to trash, and say yes to well paced, …

Reading these reviews I thought the game was going to be a mess. But, in my full playthrough it was the complete opposite. I really enjoyed the game! Sure, there are some things that could have been done better (mainly more objects in buildings/fleshed out rooms), but the game was great. The graphics are really nice, the lighting is phenomonal, the story is good (continuation and solid story), I thought voice acting …

Notice how all the positive reviews are people with like, an hour played? Yeah, me too. Extremely undercooked. Placeholder assets, holes in the geometry, audio and performance issues, obvious signs of scope creep. This is an alpha, not a finished game. The first hour is 'finished.' Everything after that rapidly falls apart into an underdeveloped mess, culminating with multiple softlocks and a puzzle that broke so …

I thoroughly enjoyed Industria 1 and it pains me to leave a negative review especially when I don't write reviews often but I feel I have too. This game is unfinished and not the normal "unoptimized with small immersion breaking bugs here and there" no. It's the kind of unfinished that has placeholder textures on weapon models, holes in the geometry, entire light fixtures and models just straight up missing, …

Since I really liked the first game, it hurts to say that this game is just unfinished and was released at least 6–8 months too early. Let’s talk about the story: I am glad that the story of the first game was continued in this game. But I am very, very disappointed with how it was continued. The story in this game seems as rushed and unfinished as the game itself. You are thrown into the game with little to no …

60 of 252 · most liked firstIf I understand the situation correctly, Head Up was purchased by another company and probably forced Bleakmill to push this game out way too early. This game, if finished, would definitely be worth the price and has quite a good amount of content and polish in it. Some of the design is a bit underbaked and unfinished, but that's really where the critiques come in. This is not a finished game, and given what I know about the publisher situation, it's likely not the developers fault that it's…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tldr: i want to eventually enjoy this game, but for now hold off in the hopes that they patch out some of the very very numerous rough edges i first played industria 1 not a month ago, not even realizing this one was about to come out, so i feel like i have a fresh perspective on this vs. the original. this game looks good, i haven't had the performance problems other people are experiencing, and it's interesting that this game is basically resident evil where the last game was like a slower…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was terrible. The first game was extremely mid, and unfinished, but it had potential. The only reason I played Industria 2, was to see where they took the story, and to see if they learned from the mistakes of the first game. This was much worse. Do not waste your money. The game is a halfbaked boring experience that doesn't know what it wants to be, so it ends up doing a bunch of different things that don't hold any weight. The amount of bugs in this game is an infestation. The developers…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I never leave reviews on games but Industria 2 is so disappointingly bad that I must warn others to steer clear of it. Saying this game feels rushed and unfinished is an understatement. If I could refund this game I would but fortunately for the devs I pressed past the 2 hour mark so my money is theirs now. Hopefully they can put that money to good use and fix the glaring issues with this game The game currently has a game breaking bug in chapter 3 where the items you need to fix an elevator…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Based on the reviews I've seen on here and on YouTube, I thought this would be a terrible and unplayable game. It wasn't. I didn't have any of the problems that I saw a bunch of other people ranting about. The only problems I had during my whole playthrough was 2 crashes. That's it. Aside from that, it was a solid game. Better than the first even. No, it's nothing groundbreaking, but it's an indie game. And I thought it was a decent game for an FPS indie game. I'd give it a B- overall. I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I played industria 1, I was pulled into the game by the mystery and the weirdness of what was happening, I remember being in a grey library of sorts, I remember enthousiastically exploring and soaking in several sceneries. This game for some reason threw all that away, and now I am playing some kind of survival horror game that wants to be resident evil, I don't like horror games, I don't play them. I wasted my money on this game because they decided to genre hop. I want to explore with…

neutral · AI labelView post →The first Industria is, by all means, a stellar title, able to jump into the fray made of countless FPS already on the market and carve its own niche. From developer Bleakmill, the expectations on this sequel were high, especially for fans of the series. Unfortunately, Industria 2 released in an unacceptably broken state: between severe performance issues, bugs of all kinds that range from game-breaking to annoying, and clearly unfinished visual, design and gameplay components, anything good…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THIS REVIEW IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE UPDATED I deleted the old review to make room for this. Wow. So yeah, all of the complaints I had in the old review are just precursors to the mess of the rest of the game. I don't really know what to say to help the devs. The game is VERY ambitious, and that may have been the issue. This game is about a whole year too early, chapter 2 & 3 are severely underdeveloped. Looking through the trailers, you can tell there was quite a bit scrapped from this game, as…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first Industria was one of the reasons that I moved over to PC gaming from consoles. Seeing what was possible on PC compared to PS4 and Xbox One at the time was amazing. Industria 1 was a great little indie game that pushed some great visuals at the time with ray tracing and DLSS etc. As for Industria 2....well it still looks pretty for the most part. But it is probably the buggiest game I've ever played! Everywhere there is incomplete geometry, sound glitches, visual bugs, terrible…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →INDUSTRIA II is a clear step forward for Bleakmill, but unfortunately, it still comes with a fair amount of unnecessary frustration. I wasn't particularly impressed by the first INDUSTRIA, mainly because I went into it with completely wrong expectations regarding its advertised East Berlin setting ([url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/rockschuppen/recommended/1172650/]you can read my review of the first game here). Still, I was curious to see how Nora's story would continue and, perhaps even…

neutral · AI labelView post →I see the huge amount of passion that went into this game. I can see the hours that went into chapters 1 and 2, with the beautiful environments and tight gameplay. I wanted to have more of this style of gameplay to be honest. Sadly, that's where the positives end. I'll point out a few specific things and what I think would have been better; The Story/Narrative Even in Industria 1, you were rarely given enough information about what was going on to form a meaningful internal reason to…

As a huge survival horror fan, I'd been following this game forever, and now I'm in it! Big thanks to @Bleakmill.com and the rest of the Industria team!
neutral · AI labelView post →I enjoyed the experience, but I wouldn't recommend buying it. The narrative is intriguing and the melancholic atmosphere is spot on, supported by a solid soundtrack. But the technical execution falls short: Broken level design and art in the latter half. The game starts off cohesive, but the quality drops significantly later on. It feels like the second half skipped technical review entirely you can literally see placeholder cubes with stretched textures on the critical path. Add poor…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's too different from the original game. Fans of Industria will not enjoy this sequel. I was eagerly looking forward to playing this followup, but ended up refunding it because of all the strange mechanics they've unnecessarily added.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Man... i don't know what happened to the development to this game. I decided to ignore the bad reviews and gave the game a honest chance because i loved the first part quite a bit. but straight from the get go it's really clunky and messy, some parts of the game run well, and then other parts your fps suddenly tanks, the audio is also broken at some times, (no reload sounds or voices dissapear). This game should not have been rushed like this and definetly needed 1 - 2 year more development…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its not too bad of a game but its nothing like the first one. What is there has serious potential tho. The new mechanics are fun and i enjoy the more serious survival aspect of it. But you can tell its very unfinished and needs a lot of work still which is the only real reason i cant recommend it. It also does need a lot of optimization work too it runs well and then it just doesnt and I dont know why.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What happened? How did it come to this? The first Industria was one of my favorite games of 2021. This game has missing textures, missing audio, a bounty of strange audio bugs that turn this game into a psychological horror...and not in a good way. Enemies spawn out of nowhere. When I transition levels, the game can't even remember what ammo I had, how much and what guns I had ready - LITERALLY WTF? Levels are lacking in detail and look bland - the art design, which is great by the way, is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →when I say that no-one wanted to love this game more that I did, know that I mean that This isn't finished, half of the game is a placeholder. Objects are missing textures, the level geometry in many places doesn't make any sense, it just generally looks awful, I even saw a sign that was floating off of the backing it was supposed to be attached to, it was also facing the wrong way. do you want to know how you can tell when you're heading into an outdoor area? you experience a massive and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first game was great so I was looking forward to the sequel. I played the demo last year which I had mixed feelings on, mainly due to performance etc which I chalked up to it being a very early look at the game. The demo featured a bug where frame gen was seemingly forced on at all times with no way to disable it. The devs promised this would be fixed come the full release. Fast forward to release, not only did the game launch in a horrific state, loads of bugs, softlocks, visual issues,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the first game was merely an unfinished story, the first act of a three act play; this sequel is somehow worse not because it is an incomplete story but because of the technical flaws. First, this game has the worst gunplay of any FPS you could imagine. "Toggle aim" will just break everything from basic hip fireing the pistol to using the scope on the sniper rifle - be sure to turn that OFF in your gameplay settings. Second, some of the level design is no more than a rough-out for an…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Where to start, want to like it, but so many issues waited for a very long time for this story breaking bugs runs like crap There are a lot of placeholder things still in the game Some of the landscape is really bare, like it's just an asset from the store. For 4 years of work, it really feels like a year's worth is really not acceptable The first game had fewer issues with a smaller team
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Edit: I just found out Bleakmill's publisher got sold and they had to release the game early, so take the review with that in mind. STORY SPOILERS AHEAD (as of May 3, 2026) I have mixed feelings after finishing Industria 2 (Normal difficulty) Not recommending YET First, the things I found positive: The atmosphere is really cool—definitely Half-Life 2 vibes. I could feel the inspiration, and I even got scared every now and then because I didn’t know if something was about to come through the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is pretty much unfinished. The ending to Industria 1 felt incredibly rushed and I was really hoping that Industria 2 would be better, but it's the exact same pacing. Not to mention the fact that on my last playthrough, there are missing textures and certain areas of the game that are just cubes/empty space. The last section is missing audio files and animations, and was incredibly disatisfying for a storyline with so much potential. I feel the exact same about 2 as I did 1: Interesting…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →6.5 hours of story, very low level of polish (graphical bugs, audio cuts out for characters, level design block outs missed so it feels very rough.) My first time playing an Industria game, story is meh. Honestly will probably be the first and only time I play a bleamill game... very disappointed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As others have said this game feels very unfinished. I really wanted to enjoy this game after having such a great time with the first one. -First big complaint is the level design. It is honestly disappointing coming from the first game, where the world felt full and alive. Then coming to this game, every building is mostly empty rooms. By empty rooms I mean you go into it and it is a concrete floor and brick wall. No lockers, not dirty mop buckets, no garbage, NOTHING. Some of the level…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's so different from first game what I don't know if I like it. Feels like game trying to be imsim and horror-survival, but too linear and too predictable to be either. It's not a bad game, it looks fine, sounds good, plays ok, but it's not good enough in what it trying to be and so it's not for me. Maybe I'll change mind upon further playthrough, but for now can't really recommend it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL:DR here cos this is gonna be long. I like the idea of this game, and chapter 1 had me hoping it would be better. I cant recommend it though. this game is completely unfinished and should have a big WORK IN PROGRESS sign over it and be in early access. This is not a complete game and needs a lot of work before you should get it unless you already have it and want to help with playtesting. below will be a list of the issues I came across. there are probably some more issues and I plan to add…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoyed the first Industria despite its flaws. It wasn't perfect by any means but it was gripping enough. Industria 2 though? It's obviously unfinished. They should have released it as an early access game, and it would still not impress me. It doesn't look bad per se but assets and details are missing almost everywhere. Pretty sure some textures are lacking too. I get that they were going for a very industrial atmosphere, with brutalist elements and the inherent minimalism of it...…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Disappointing is such an understatement for how bad this sequel is. From the ASTRONOMICAL amount of visual bugs, lack of ambient noise, or just a lack of noise overall in many many areas of the game including cutscenes. While there is an expectation to be had with small studio games especially with a vision as large as this was meant to be, dear lord did it fall so flat. Assuming it had something to do with them having a publisher now (shocker I know), this is a rushed piece of garbage that I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Industria 2 starts off very strong, especially in the first chapter where it lets you understand how it all works in a fun way with the crafting, exploration, narrative, etc. I can see the spark that Bleakmill had in mind during development. But with the current state it is now, the technical issues, crashes, other minor and major issues had kept dragging my experience with the game in a disappointing way. It's genuinely painful for me not to recommend it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I almost never leave reviews but have to say, I agree with most of the negative feedbacks... This game is rough, not finished, full of bugs, including audio and video game braking ones... I have a feeling this was rushed, forced out by the publisher... The first one was very very good, this one will probably be good in about 6 months... if we get lucky and the publisher realises they Ft up...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i can see why this game is only getting mixed reviews The games setting is more prettier than the first one but it lacks detail and a quarter of the game is just filler, empty rooms and spaces. The combat is annoying and clunky, The enemies are too stong and you get damaged too quickly (this is normal mode) The crafting is just stupid, it ruined the game, there are moments you need to switch guns due to lack of ammo but can't due to enemies around. The pinticor (upgrade currrency) is too…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It pains me to write this, but I can't recommend this game in its current state. I only played through the first game once, and yet it stayed with me for several years thanks to the fantastic setting that the developers created. So when Industria 2 launched I was excited to jump back into that world once again. Unfortunately it quickly became evident that the game needed much more time in the oven. While the first quarter or so of the game is solid, the stability of the game, and the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So having played up to chapter 2 of Industria, my recommendation is this need alot more time, from bugs, missing textures (gun upgrades being untextured), missing audio for many doors, world events etc. I can not recommend you purchase this game at the moment. I desperately wanted to love this game but it is very clear unfinished and needs alot more love from the devs. Which im sure is not on them and on the publisher.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After about 1.5 hours of playing, it feels like a series of long, empty, cheaply designed corridors, with some oddly textured areas (stairs, empty rooms with nothing in them, etc.). There are a few places with beautiful views too, but they feel empty as well. (Will change my review later probably after completing the game). Update: After 4 hours it still looks like leaked alpha version of Half-Life 2, but playable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This one hurt a bit. Optimization - With the latest patch on a 4090 I didn't have any problems. The only small freeze I would get would be when the autosave would kick in and freeze the game for a sec. That was all for me. Bugs - The beginning wasn't bad but more will creep up the further you get into the game. Missing sfx (even the final bosses voice over lines were missing in parts) and empty sound in places where there should have been something. You'll experience floating ammo,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →EDIT 2: You can actually beat the game now a day after launch and the final boss' arena is made up of primatives with a metal material because the game isn't finished. EDIT: At launch you literally cannot beat the game, I am soft locked in the area where you have to repair the elevator. Really not worth the price in the current state, the game is absurdly unfinished and runs poorly in a lot of areas even on lower settings. I think it could definitely get a lot better but it never should have…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I adored the first game. Now going into the second one: ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! This game is all about the immersion of the world: lore, setting, atmosphere and audio is incredible. Found myself staring at a lot of the scenerey, looking for details, thinking about how life there mightve been. Graphics in this game is truly stunning, and superbly well thought out designs. Same goes for audio quality and depth! The story takes place where the first one ended basically, and this time, its also a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game looks gorgeous in the first location, and maybe even the second one, but after the first hour it started to feel like it was still in early access — even though it isn’t. It feels like the developers did their best in certain aspects, but overall the game comes across as only half-finished. There are lots of missing sounds, textures, and placeholder models. I also noticed a couple of questionable art direction decisions. For example, the same 50s–60s style elevator lever is used…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i was really looking forward to this game, but it honestly needs a good bit more time in the oven, ive had issues with performance (even without rt), ui/animation visual bugs, and the environments feel alot flatter and emptier than they should. i really hope the devs give this game the postlaunch support it needs because in this state im not sure i can even finish it :( as far as the core of the game goes, im a really big fan. while not everyone wanted it to go more resident evil, i really…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →loved the first game and wanted more as it was very short. the first hour of this game is great and polished but then it all seems to fall apart. multiple softlocks on puzzles, a boss enemy just stood and looked at me. the follower character has got stuck or fallen out the map many times locking me out of optional dialogue. also standard UE place holder text on many signs is a real immersion killer. pains me to say but this needs more time in the oven it feels very unpolished after the first…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was pretty excited for the game because the first game was a decent story shooter, sadly I needed to refund Industria 2 in the state it is right now. The pure quality of the game is really lackluster and as a result the immersion which the game is based on is ruined constantly. I played this game for 30 minutes and had like 5-6 moments of this immersion breaking situations. The reasons for that are spread across graphical glitches, sound glitches, bare bones UI whith elements missing and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really waited for this sequel to come out, but boy have I been disappointed - it's worse in literally every aspect, even including the graphics (except a few outdoor areas and the phenomenal water rendering in the outro). It's obviously unfinished, most interiors missing any assets, couldn't they have just bought some and thrown it in? The story was fine, but also nothing to write home about in comparison to the awesome first game. Not to mention the bugs...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Industrial 2 is an emotional rollercoaster for me. If you enjoyed the first game, I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy this one too. It introduces some much-needed new elements, such as weapon upgrades, weapon mods, inventory and ammo management, grenade crafting, and stealth. All of these additions fit the game really well and were definitely needed. The story is still good and continues directly from where the first game ended. The music and voice acting are great, especially Nora's performance.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first game was nothing ground breaking, but was enjoyable to explore. The sequel severely and painfully misses even that bar. I should have heeded the bad reviews but even on sale I can't justify it. The sequel is nothing like the original. The original explored an uncanny world, falling apart long after the robot takeover, with surreal, shifting environments. This game is a sad attempt to copy HalfLife 2 with a darker coat of paint. Right from the start it tries to be a horror/stealth…
