What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 165 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (799 of 940 positive).

Its a fun game, but its very buggy and darn frustrating. on local games, after a few hours, your own cities start getting hit by your own weapons?!? there must be some sort of critical bug that causes damage to enemy planets to reflect to you, but it makes long games hard. The games last too long unless you fiddle with the rules. shot curves sometimes behave different than projected, as if there were planets in …

It's sadly rare that a game is so original that it functionally has no genre, but this is one of those rare gems. You are the indisputed ruler of a planet and its resources in a solar system filled with other inhabited planets who have decided, inexplicably, to commit universal genocide. There are no politics, no diplomacy. You must built weapons facilities, intelligence, counterintelligence, and countermeasures on …

If you are willing to put some time into a missile launching simulation game and learn it, then I can recommend picking this one up. This game is extremely polished and well-presented. I found the UI intuitive, considering how much detail is in there. The game has a learning curve, as each weapon has their own upgrades and play-styles. Beautiful game. The shading, colors, and UI create the atmosphere for a fun, but …

Interplanetary is a turn based... aim game? Remember those old browser games where you'd have an arrow and you'd try to hit the enemy? You'd shoot your arrow, see where it went and on the next turn you'd give more or less power, you'd aim higher or lower. Its that type of game. It starts pretty slow with everyone trying to build their own planets, gather resources, protect their cities and sooner or later people …

This is a puzzle game and a city builder in one. The puzzle is figuring out the right orbits etc to make. The game doesn't tell you that. And then you have to manage how things are placed, built etc. While managing the fallout from your opponets. I just want to know why I am drawn to games like this and yet ♥♥♥♥ like Fifa gets like 40 games. How can you get so addicted to the same gameplay loop? Am I the special kid …
Summarised from 34 of the 190 public posts collected about this game; every point cites the posts behind it ([n] opens the post) and the split is counted from the posts’ own ratings. Updated Oct 10, 2026. How summaries are made
84% of the 165 Steam reviewers we collected recommend Interplanetary: Enhanced Edition. The complaint that keeps coming up: buggy and frustrating, especially in multiplayer. Deal-breaker or nitpick?

positive · AI labelView post →This is quite possibly my fav update since we launched 1.0. The Astroneer team really brought it with this one. Megatech feels like a marquee moment for the game in what it does and offers to its players, both in the paid DLC and the free update. Interplanetary delivery system is 😘👌🏻

Otherwise they'd be Stellaris levels of stupid.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To start off, the central idea of this game is very interesting; a solar system full of planets in a battle-royal to the death is *very* compelling as a concept, and the bones of the game are fundamentally pretty good; there are a variety of weapons systems with different buffs and debuffs, counters for those systems, and an intelligence system that lets you potentially leapfrog ahead of your opponents with clever planning, along with a counter-intelligence system to defeat that approach. The…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The systems of the game frequently break when playing multiplayer. Buildings need to be powered, but every game there will be buildings that cannot be powered. Buildings will need to be repaired/rebuilt, but clicking repair/rebuild will deduct the resources to repair/rebuild it without repairing/rebuilding it. These problems increase in frequency as the game goes on. It's a total waste of time playing a match when one of the players will inevitably fall behind or even lose because the game…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Enhanced Edition is not balanced against AI. At the Easy level, AI destroyed 2 of my cities in 20 turns, while I was only trying to build up my cities, and haven't even got one shot off. Tried against only 1 AI opponent, as well as a full field of AI opponents. All set to Easy. Also, with the graphics set to Max or Minimum, Vsync on or off, etc. (tested everything) you get this really bad graphics artefact that look like TV static across the middle of the solar system. This is on a top…

neutral · AI labelView post →great tactical game. besides having to level up with various research, which i feel tha AI player has the fullest advantage on medium, you also have to consider orbital dynamics for ballistic weapons. my 2nd match was 6 hours long, so once you start, be ready to be there a while.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't wait to grow up so I can commit war crimes and atrocities just like you can in this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dense Poor UI Lack of info about the impact of any particular tech or module Tech is hard to scan through for what may actually be useful - as far as I can tell nothing that helps show future movement of bodies or help target with that in mind, which is mind boggling.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game, I played >50hrs in the non-enhanced version and this one is even better. However unfortunately its one of the most unapproachable things because of the Technology system which is just "Analysis Paralysis - The game" The Planetary management is amazing, the art is simple and concise. shooting projectiles into space tracking the enemy orbit is as satisfying as it gets. This feels like a genre defining game that only just fell short of realizing its potential due to some…

Game just got an update, but unfortunately - I'm yet to see any online lobbies going - but watch this space! One of those backlog games that sat there too long :( Shame, because it's pretty good - quite unique and has good strategy. The problem is that the AI doesn't cheat, but through random chance or odds - they can land shots on…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Imagine piloting a giant sail man-o-war, bristling with guns, readying and then unleashing deadly broadsides upon your enemies. Well, instead of ship you got a fullsize planet. Build railguns, laser and nuclear missiles to fire at other planets in same solar systems (gravity!), develop infrastructure, research even deadlies railgun, solar lasers or comet engines. Lots of fun to be had, especially with friends.
