What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 182 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (390 of 435 positive).
Players praise the game's beautiful pixel art and surreal atmosphere. [1][2][3] Many find the bullet-hell combat fun but note the game is short. [4][5][6] Some reviewers compare it favorably to Titan Souls. [7][8][9]

Not bad, but not good. If you're looking at this, but haven't played hyperlight drifter or titan souls I would give both of those games a try before this one. Game's too short, and there's no replayability like in a more arcadey experience. I would say that about an hour of my three hour playtime was spent hunting for explodable walls and trying to collect cats. Most of the game was trivial, especially after …

I enjoyed playing this game. At first glance, it's bright and colorful, but underneath lies a dark, oppressive atmosphere — just what the doctor ordered. The world pulled me in, and I played through it with great interest. Some bosses were tougher than others, but all were beatable with persistence. I had to complete the game multiple times to reach 100%, but it was worth it. Definitely recommended. PS: played …

ITTA is hands down one of the best bullet hell game's I played in a long time! It's a short, not too punishing experience, revolving around death, regret and afterlife. While vague at times and leaving a lot of interpretation to the player, it felt like quite a liberating experience by the end. Played exclusively on the oled deck and it was an absolute blast. Combat was tight and despite not being the biggest fan of …

ITTA is a melancholic, dreamlike bullet-hell adventure that stands out not because it reinvents action combat, but because it anchors that combat in a world steeped in grief, quiet beauty, and surreal mystery. Developed by Glass Revolver and published by Armor Games Studios, it blends a minimalist narrative with boss-rush structure, creating an experience that feels equal parts meditative and harrowing. You play as …

I definitely recommend this game, but I also recommend getting it on sale. It's a 3-6 hour game, and if you use a guide for just the secret bomb-able walls, you'll be quite close to 3 hrs to 100% a save file. It's a giant killer oops all bossfight bullet hell game, and a well done one, but there are only 15 fights (+ final boss who was easier than some of the others) that take 5 minutes max. No second healthbars or …

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Soundtrack is a bit lacking. Controls are not tight enough for me, aim stick should shoot. Not have another button that you need to press (obviously just my opinion). Heavily story driven with long lows outside of the boss fights. In boss fights/combat, dodge in a circle and hold down the fire button to hit the boss. No weak points, little in the way of mechanics outside bullet hell. Which I do like, Enter the Gungeon, Jamestown, Monolith are all some of my favs. Was really hoping for more. I…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →gaem good Edit: honestly this game *SLAPS* the surrealism and music make the game so peaceful and interesting. The first time the light started changing through the map i thought i was going crazy but the fact its in the game really gets me randy

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A solid bullet hell boss rush action game. Not particularly hard but it ain't super easy either. Took me almost 3 hours to beat it including some optional bosses. Story was a little abstract to me but I liked what I saw. It's also a bit ambiguous here and there when it comes to what to do next so it may remind you a little bit to games like Shadow of the Colossus. Definitely recommended if you are into the genre but it won't blow anyone's mind. 3.5/5 - Good!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →On sale until November 15 for $2.24. “ITTA, developer Glass Revolver’s debut game, fuses intense bullet-hell gameplay with an intriguing story that ends up outshining its mechanics, creating an experience I was not expecting.” 8/10 – Noisy Pixel
neutral · AI labelView post →I found this game strangely depressing. Decent shooter. I will say I did get lost at one point and that was a bit frustrating.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like Titan Souls and/or bullet hells, you will definitely have fun with this game. It's really great, feels very indie (which I love) and also can be pretty hard.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Disclaimer: My scores/reviews are almost always based on having bought the game at close to the "lowest historical price" on steam at time of purchase. Quick score: 3/5 Notes: The game has great art, great soundtrack, very interesting world/dialogue/characters, and generally a decent feel to the combat. Unfortunately none of the bosses are really that intereresting to fight. While they all look unique, there are a lot of recycled mechanics and bullet patterns and they are mostly fought in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just finished it; I quite liked it, it's a nice little game with great pixel art. Still, I'm a little disappointed by some things: 1) the length, I really took my time to explore everything, and still, already over. 3 hours (After finishing, I even went through everything again and looked, if I had missed something, but after a while, I lost interest to find the last weapons etc.), this is the length, I expect from a mainstream point and click adventure filled with animations, jokes etc. Here…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I saw this game and wishlisted it because it looked interesting. So far, it has surpassed every expectation I have had. The gameplay is smoother, the story more engaging, the dialogue more interesting, the setting more surreal, than I could have possibly imagined. I may have skipped this, too worried that it would be a mediocre experience. I want to scream at my past self for even letting that thought cross my mind. The game is worth every penny of its cost and unless something…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you loved Titan Souls, this is right up your alley. ITTA has a nice story, great gameplay, and beautiful pixel graphics. It has more of a bullet-hell vibe than souls, but focuses on defeating bosses like Titan Souls. I loved exploring the game and beating every boss. The collectibles are cool too. My only dislike is that there are cracks throughout the map which are REALLY unnoticeable, and the game doesn't explain the mechanic — it's likely you will never notice that the bomb can crack some…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Started playing the twin-stick shooter Itta. It’s cool so far and gonna continue on. Might start up another game along side of it. Could be time to begin FF VII Rebirth.
positive · AI labelView post →ITTA is a handheld (Nintendo Switch)/console game that's also been put on Steam as a bit of an afterthought, as it's very much designed for the handheld/console gaming audience. It's yet another of literally hundreds of lazy amateur 2D retro top-down shooter/brawlers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This one is particularly poorly made, being an objective failure on the Nintendo Switch and unsurprisingly failing on Steam too. It's from Armor…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game uncertain if I would end up liking it, but it proved me wrong. It was surprisingly not too hard, nor challenging? The whole experience was delightful, really. (I did get lost at some point throughout the game, but it wasn't too difficult to get back on track) Good game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm stuck. No idea what to do. I beat the dual boss fight, and since then, I've just been wandering around aimlessly.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple and sweet little game. Not overly hard if youre well versed in souls-likes or bullet-hells, but fun to play, with GORGEOUS visuals and esoteric environmental design. I almost wish it were longer considering how little we know about the world despite how interesting it looks, but it taking only a few hours to play while still being a challenge (though maybe a little too easy) was a large part of the charm. If you want a lovely and tough little game you can finish in just 1-2 sittings…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Similar to titan souls in the sense that the gameplay is just fighting bosses but the boss fights are more focused on being a bullet hell type game than one with unique mechanics for each boss. I'd say half of them play the same and the difficulty can vary. If you like boss fights and have played a lot of them or even played games like Enter the Gungeon or other bullet hell's, you wont have much trouble with this game. especially if you go get all the upgrades which you can find most of them…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great pixel animation and amazing soundtrack. Many will compare ITTA with Titan Souls, but unlike the puzzle-like nature of the bosses in TS, ITTA's bosses are just straight up bullet hell gun-'em-ups; there's also a heck of a lot more lore/plot. The hit boxes are quite forgiving and I beat about a third of the bosses on the first try. For a bullet hell/boss rush game, I'd say this is actually a relatively easy one despite first impressions. There are also accessibility options to turn on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice game, love the pixel art graphics. Good gameplay, dodging bullets while shooting (or throwing a scythe) is very fun, bosses are unique and show personality. However, I find this game pretty short, would've been better if there was even more content in it and maybe more backstory on the bosses we know nothing about.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Visually beautiful game, an amazing soundtrack and interesting boss fights! My only negative point about the game is the lack of post-game content, but it is a really sweet short game otherwise!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What games are on the docket? I’m currently playing thru Metroid Prime 4 and think I may start up an indie game called Itta soon.
neutral · AI labelView post →If u enjoy the bullethell gameplay u will probably enjoy this game. This is a pretty chill short shoot-dodge game, with a fine story and cute pixel art graphics. The only con in this game, it might be too easy due to some odd bullet hitboxes tho.

neutral · AI labelView post →Really cool boss rush, bullet hell with a bit of exploration. Game is fun and forgiving. Love the aesthetic, I’m a sucker for pixel art like this one. Do recommend if you like what you see.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No wonder this game is cheap. You get what you pay for...garbage. Crap controls and just lame. Not even worth the 2 bucks I paid..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →so worth and sadly very unrated in my opinion i never played games like this before but i love it the story is good the bosses are so cool and some i gen struggled with but that made it only more fun and love the dark twist!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At first I was expecting more combat, but then I came to appreciate the little details more. Adorable, mystical and heartbreaking.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's alright. I didnt finish it. Got stuck at the flooded area and just gave up but its an ok game. You have to be really good at bullet hell games tho

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ITTA is a great and short bullet-hell, twin-stick-shooter, boss-"rush" (there is frankly no rush, you fight one after another) game, where you play a hooded girl in some kind of mysterious limbo/purgatory plane. The gameplay mixes the dense tension of super tight boss-fights with some melanchollically relaxing exploration and puzzling. The fights are tough but fair and failing never felt cheap. The design is as bright as it is moody, the pixel-art is top quality, the enemies and NPCs look…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short game as it only took me 3.6 hours to complete, BUT it was a 3.6 hours well spent.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was not prepared for how bad the music was. Game looks like it has potential but if you accompany it with a repetitive dull soundscape you just lose the desire to play. Proper music sets a proper tone for your game. This is amateur hour.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am partly disabled (damaged cartillage and tendon in my hands/wrists) and not a fan of bullet hell games in particular, but I AM a big fan of ITTA. The controls are not impossible to master, even with chronic wrist pain, which I really appreciate. The challenges change in type, which ramps up the complexity rather than simply increasing speed, concentration and damage. But what I really love about ITTA is the art and style. I've been fan-following the development based purely on how…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I absolutely adore this game. It is a bullet-hell twin stick shooter that is somehow at the same time also incredibly relaxing. Though generally not at the same time... unless you're a virtuoso at bullet-hells. In terms of mechanics... the overworld does not have a single enemy. the only times you will be fighting are during boss-encounters. Watch full review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-gjz9_y4H0
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I feel there's something wrong with difficulty curve in this game, it's generally getting easier as you progress (with occasional difficulty spikes) and leads to last boss which was easiest for me. But despite this, it's awesome and very climatic experience, I had this little "I wonder what will be next" thrill the whole time. And it didn't feel like mere Gungeon clone after all.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Art style = good Puzzles = almost nothing Gameplay mechanic = too boring (every boss fight = all comes down to running around the edge of the arena around the boss and shooting him) it's fun? I'm not sure, however I am a big fan of this genre of games (like Hyper Light Drifter)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short boss rush similar to Titan souls, with lovely art and fairly tight controls. fun world to explore, looking forward to collecting all the cats. Would recommend if you are looking for a short, entertaining game. Hope the devs add extra content in the future!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Itta is a true gem and I think every type of player can find enjoyment in this game! If you like bullet-hell you have an incredible array of challenging bosses to take on. If you are more in it for the story, you have an incredible world to explore. With the accessibility options, Itta can be enjoyed in the hands of any level of player in the way they most enjoy. I loved the lore and mythology interwoven into the world - it was a very unique experience that I will definitely be going back…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ITTA is NOT Titan Souls. Its a top down boss battle type game yes, but its got more exploration and actual upgrades to boot! 100% recommend picking it up
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →some of the best bullet hell gameplay you can find. plus the story and dialog is actually exciting to watch. only takes about 3 hours to finish. the boss battles feel very balanced and more about surviving longer then it is just shooting.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solid. Cool bosses.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a pretty interesting bullet hell with some nice lore and a really cool artstyle, but the game does have quite a few bugs; the most frustrating one involving a boss near the start of the game that can teleport to you and damage you instantly. sometimes it feels like its a bit too easy to get lost (especially in the second area of the game), but these are all fairly minor nitpicks that won't ruin the game. if you like bullet hell games then you would most likely enjoy playing this
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Basically a boss rush game with a bit of exploration. The bosses play like a bullet hell and you have a dodge roll which gives you i-frames. Exploration is simple but nice. Despite being a small game, you actually get a good amount of weapons. You can use whatever fits your playstyle or also change things up based on the boss. Sometimes I found a certain weapon easier based on the boss. There's also some health upgrades, and then there's the spirit collectibles which is mainly for fun. I think…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know if I can say it's worth fifteen dollars, it's a fairly short game for what it is; the first time you play it, everything's hard and it's easy to get lost + the boss fight bullet patterns are hard. You do a second playthrough (like for the no death achievement) and suddenly knowing where all the extra health and weapons are hidden makes it really easy. The hardest bosses are the earliest ones. I wouldn't say that you should damage sponge the bosses, but the moment you get a good…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boss fight twin stick shooter which does most areas of the game competently but unfortunately is let down in the gameplay area with some poor enemy design and strange hit boxes. Hard to give a thumbs up when so many other games do it better.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow! Good game. I liked it a lot. Crazy how it only has 300~ reviews at the time of writing. this game was actually really good and MOST definitely worth the 2 $. I'd spend about 5-7 looking back it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played this on the steam deck. Fun boss Rush game to take a weekend. Tight controls.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game very simple good idea with gameplay similar like bloodyhell and isaac .good story.good character.I like how is clear to play
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Went back to Itta Bena before a playoff game and had a great meal. Last time I went to JEM popped and I've been wanting to get back. Want to check out the new Felicia Suzanne's, looks great from walking by
neutral · AI labelView post →A cute little bullet hell Having never played a bullet hell before, this one looked interesting as a first. Having finished it, I can confirm that it was just as interesting as it looked. The game is a little over three hours, with a good variety of bosses and bullets to dodge. Difficulty is generally well done, as none of the bosses really felt out of place (though for veterans of the genre I can imagine it being on the easy side). Your weapon variety is also good, with seven different ones…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Made the 4-hour drive up to Itta Bena for a game. From the place Jerry Rice called home, it's Mississippi Valley State vs Alabama A&M
neutral · AI labelView post →This game sucks
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun and accessible bullet hell shooter / boss rush game! Tons of weapon variety and lovely pixel-art! Sometimes it feels like there is a bit too much going on and therefore the dodge is a bit too overpowered. By lowering the amount of stuff on the screen you could make the dodging feel more "earned by also nerfing the invisibility frames.
