60 of 123 · most liked firstLucas, Coppola, and Scorsese were all major supporters of Kurosawa during his long decades in exile from the Japanese studio system. As a result we got two of his greatest films: Kagemusha and Ran. Scorsese even cameos in Kurosawa's surreal film Dreams as Van Gogh.
