Directed by Kate Woods
Ex TV personality, Chris Masterman, becomes stranded in an Outback town outside Alice Springs. There, he teams up with 12-year-old Indigenous girl Charlie. Who’s excited to see my new content from the US and my most recent trip to Kangaroo Valley to film for the Grabby’s, but more on that later 🤫 @pharaohphag.bsky.social

As a result of that choice, Clementine ends up wearing a hoodie inspired by the poster for the 2003 movie "Kangaroo Jack."

neutral · AI labelView post →Kangaroo Jack. Picture this: You've been suckered in to watching a movie where they promised a talking, rapping kangaroo only to find out that it was only a hallucination and the kangaroo didn't really talk. And it had a forgettable plot... 13 year old me was furious! Lol
negative · AI labelView post →I think Tank Girl might be my ultimate guilty pleasure movie. There are a thousand things wrong with it; the pacing is messy, the Kangaroo FX look like Jim Henson rejects, the villain is from a different movie; and yet it's so fun and stupid and spunky I can't help but love it.
neutral · AI labelView post →Sometimes the CGI kangaroo from Kangaroo Jack comes over to my house. "I'm sorry I was barely in that movie" he tells me. "It's ok, it was marketing's fault, you had no idea" I reassure him, but I know he'll be back

neutral · AI labelView post →Never mind! Apparently it’s from a German film based on a German book called “The Kangaroo Chronicles”.
neutral · AI labelView post →Don’t… watch Kangaroo Jack. It infamously tricked us into watching a movie about a talking kangaroo that never existed.
negative · AI labelView post →Oh man I've been waiting for this question for YEARS. The answer is Kangaroo Jack. This was the poster for Kangaroo Jack. The trailer for Kangaroo Jack made it seem like it was a funny adventure comedy about a kangaroo. Then you watch the movie - the kangaroo gets less than 90 seconds of screen time
negative · AI labelView post →Kangaroo Jack was such a funny event all anyone wanted was a bad talking animal movie
positive · AI labelView post →If Kangaroo Jack was made in the 2020s, it would already be a film franchise with 4 spin-offs.
neutral · AI labelView post →How aware is the average Australian of 1977 animation + live action film Dot and the Kangaroo? Its sequels? I want to know if this film is, as I assume, something only encountered on daytime TV by those home ill from school, assumed later in life to be a figment of a fever dream.

neutral · AI labelView post →Kangaroo Jack G'day USA! (2004) Very much a direct to video type movie. Wouldn't say it's worth watching but it does have a lot of kangaroo in it which makes at least entertaining for me.
neutral · AI labelView post →There is no Kangaroo Jack: 3. YET. I am going to make it my life goal to produce this film.
neutral · AI labelView post →(At therapy) I think the trust issues stem from when I was a child - there was an ad campaign for the movie Kangaroo Jack, and it lead me to believe the movie was about a rapping kangaroo. But it was a terrible act of deceit; that was not what the movie was about at all. So that’s why I can’t love
negative · AI labelView post →Michael Shannon showing up in Kangaroo Jack is such a fun party movie moment
neutral · AI labelView post →Well #Kangaroo is a heartfelt, distinctly Australian film about redemption, connection, and charm. Strong performances, endearing characters, and stunning landscapes make this bush-set journey both predictable and emotionally rewarding. tldrmoviereviews.com/2025/09/09/k...

neutral · AI labelView post →I remember they did that with Snow Dogs first, and I guess the Kangaroo Jack marketing team thought it was a brilliant move worth copying. Now that's really the only legacy those movies have anymore: conning kids into seeing a totally different movie than what they were teased with lmao

negative · AI labelView post →People are talking crap about Tom Cruise’s “Digger” but I’m still not over what a lie “Kangaroo Jack” was. They advertised it as a kid’s movie with a rapping Kangaroo but it was a crappy adult buddy comedy for idk who.
negative · AI labelView post →Without saying your age, what is your favorite movie that came out when you were 20 years old? I wanted to like Kangaroo Jack, but it was a poo movie. Me and my first BF(a roo) went to see it together. But, of the movies I see on Wikipedia, I'm gonna say Pirate of the Caribbean: CotBP
