800+ hours without mods. This game will teach you things. It will give you a sense of awe. And there is nothing quite like landing a mission on another planet for the first time. best space game ever made. you learn orbital mechanics while playing and you don't even realize it. you'll start by building a rocket that flips 10 times and crashes after 30 seconds, but you'll learn from your mistakes and before you know it you'll be landing on the moon. install some mods and you'll likely never run out of things to do.

Watching the Artemis II launch, I now have a much larger understanding of space travel because of KSP lol. To see all the concepts in the game translate somewhat to real life is amazing. I wish they made the 2nd game better. Incorporate more futuristic concepts like black holes, intersolar system travel, larger base making.

KSP is around 10+ years old now, and it needs to be treated as a package of both the original game and its incredible modding community, which has continued to give me as much joy and fun as it did when I first picked it up. If there was a game that has the ability to capture the childhood feeling of putting a ruler through the clip of your ballpoint pen and imagining it's a super advanced fighter plane soaring through the clouds and beyond, KSP would be…

Kerbal Space Program is the only game where everything is going fine… until it absolutely isn’t. You launch thinking you’re a genius engineer, staging looks perfect, boosters fire, you’re cheering… and then halfway to space you realise you’ve miscalculated something very important like “fuel” or “the ability to get home”. Next thing you know you’re drifting out in the void, no fuel, no plan, just staring at the screen like “yeah… this is it, hey?” Still 10/10 game though. Would strand…

Yes, there's a sequel - skip it, and just download mods for KSP; you'll have a much better time, and your GPU will thank you.
