I’m honestly pretty disappointed with Kingdom Rush Origins. In Kingdom Rush Frontiers, the game felt much more enjoyable for casual play because of the item shop. For someone like me who just wants to have fun, it really helped—if I got stuck, I still had options to get through a level without repeating it over and over again. But in Origins, that feature is completely gone. It feels like going back to the first …

I write this review after 100%ing the game. Out of all the KR games, this one has my favourite scenery and style. I actually haven't played this one as a kid so no nostalgia here, this was a new experience to me. I love the fantasy world and themes. On difficulty scale, this game falls somewhere in between KR1 and KR2. It was definitely easier than KR2, but required more thinking and retries than KR1. I think I like …

90% of the 151 Steam reviewers we collected recommend Kingdom Rush Origins - Tower Defense. The complaint that keeps coming up: lacks innovation from prior entries. Deal-breaker or nitpick?

Critics, per Wikipedia

Nintendo Life praised the graphics and the accessibility of gameplay, but said that the pacing of levels was too slow, and hurt the experience. Game Informer liked the graphics, controls, and structure of gameplay, which he found familiar to earlier entries in the Kingdom Rush series. CNET agreed that the gameplay was similar to earlier games in a favorable way, but also liked the new heroes and upgrades. However, both he and TouchArcade were disappointed that many of the heroes could only be unlocked by spending money on microtransactions. Gamezebo praised the levels as the best designed in the entire series, but noted that the gameplay formula was similar to the previous titles, and did…

Of all the tower defense games in the Kingdom Rush series, Origins is easily my least favorite. I found it bland and not fun to play, and in fact, it has the dubious honor of being the only one that I didn't finish. Like the previous games, Origins gives you four towers, each of which branch into two options on its fourth upgrade. However, the towers in the previous games are far more interesting. For example, Frontiers has the Necromancer and Battle Mecha, which were incredibly unique…

I actually like this game, but it has a few big problems Kingdom Rush Origins is no longer about tower defense in the late game, it is almost entirely about spamming your full screen AOE lightning spell, this is not to say that your tower choices and hero control do not matter, but they take a backseat to the lightning spell - to put this into perspective, on any given map your lightning spell will do more than all of your towers + your hero combined, and it's not even close. If you like…

I’ve completely finished Kingdom Rush Origins, and I like it! The gameplay is great from start to finish, with a lot of strategic depth and fun tower combinations. The story and art style are good, the most liked and used character was Veznan — he’s such a powerful and mage and after story campgain he become a main villian! Overall, Kingdom Rush Origins is a good experience that I enjoyed. ---{ Graphics }--- ☐ You forget what reality is ☐ Masterpiece ☐ Beautiful ☐ Great but not perfect ☑…

Look, all three Kingdom Rush games are basically the same game. And that’s fine. That’s not a criticism. If you love tower defence, you buy all three, end of discussion. You will not find better value in the genre. I’ve looked. I’ve wasted money on the alternatives so you don’t have to. The art is charming, the design actually makes sense, which is rare, and there are loads of ways to win each level. And let’s be honest, they’re not hard. Veteran is the only difficulty that puts up a fight, in…

Origins is my favorite of the Kingdom Rush games and is still really fun 8 years after it came out. It takes what was really good about the previous two games and continued that same formula, just with an elven aesthetic instead which I think was done very well. The towers and heroes in this game are really fun, though I do think certain towers are just so much better than their counterparts that it makes it kind of pointless to get them in the vast majority of circumstances. Same goes for…

Origins is the third game in the series and completes the trilogy alongside the original and Frontiers. Not much really changes compared to the first two: same concept, same goals, just different towers and levels. Speaking of the levels: they are very cute, and the forest and fairy-tale setting create a great atmosphere. Hero levelling carries over from Frontiers and it's well done. The towers are a bit disappointing, but that's a known fact by now I guess. The two new additions are the…

Playing most of the series on IOS without all the of the characters unlocked was ablast. This game objectively rocks. you might need more depth but a cool tower defense with a main character that has upgrades and cool abilities is just what was needed. 1400 games in my steam backlog but it is worth playing this old ios gem with my free time. 8-9/10

**Recommended 👍** Kingdom Rush Origins is honestly one of the best tower defense games I’ve played. The gameplay is simple to understand but gets pretty challenging later on, and there’s a lot of strategy involved with tower upgrades, hero abilities, and figuring out the best way to handle each wave. The art style is great, the animations are fun, and the whole game has a lot of charm. There’s also a good amount of content, so you can easily sink a bunch of hours into it. My only complaint…

If you've played any of the other Kingdom Rush games, you know what you're in for. Game plays well enough, though I think they nerfed artillery a little and infantry are more expensive in favor of giving them a better mix of abilities. Small things, but it may affect your play style. The heroes are decent. I'd go for the shooting ones. The flying enemies in this game can be a massive pain.

After the first 2 this is going to blind side you like a train, it certainly feels like there has been a dip in quality when it comes to visuals and it's hard to tell if that's intentional or not. The first game in the series where you should give it 3 or 4 levels before you pass judgement as it is wildly different too the first games. Still good, still the bones of what made the first games good but it will take a while to get into. The maps are more interactive and the new towers and…

The third installment in the Kingdom Rush series and what is considered by many to be their favorite game in the genre, Kingdom Rush returns better than ever. The gameplay is similar to the previous games with the difference that the towers are much more specialized and cover their own niches, making the player consider twice before upgrading a level 3 tower to a specialized one. In addition, rain of fire has been replaced with lightning strikes which is arguably even more powerful and you now…

I have liked and 100% the achievements on all the others. They were all fun, even when they were frustrating. This installment is just a terrible slog. Just unreasonably difficult and seemingly intentionally designed to just beat the player down over and over no matter what mix of towers or bonuses you take unless you just get luck with the micro. I will eventually torture myself to 100% this I suppose but I wish I had not bought it.

this is a soft no. It's a chill game when you ignore all the dumb grinding achievements. For example leveling 3 basic heroes to level 10 is annoying. Catha is useless apart from very specific situations and it takes forever to level her up because she deals hardly any damage. And then the stone throwing tower is useless. Also the encyclopedia could be better and contain more information.

The last game of the original Kingdom Rush trilogy. It really doesn't bring anything new besides stages, different heroes and towers over the previous games, so let's talk towers. Do not take this game if you like previous 2 parts. 1) game menu seems was done by using some templates or made by student. Seems it is standart system button ower what was set a skin and in very bad way. 2) Color scheme of game is eye pain. In load screen hard to define where in map you are. Every thing is brighter than usual. Toxic colors. 3) Heroes, units and animation so non relevant to previous part. Left the game after first 2 maps. Very disapointed.

Welp. I won’t say I enjoyed this one. Some towers are just the standard answer for all stages. ( the blue upgrade of archer tower and the red upgrade of the inventry tower) which stands for high dps, a bit of aoe which replaced the rock thrower. And the red upgrade just hold everything back. An unbeatable defensive line. Basically you could use these two towers till completion. Of course I could use other towers, but that’s just simply torture. The game is pure gold. A wonderful story of what becomes the origin of the king of evil and his dark army. One thing that i want to see is the shop and gems feature that is on the mobile version as-well as the endless stages. These features should not be missing! Porfavor!
