What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 157 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (272 of 310 positive).
Fans of the series enjoy the humor and voice acting, calling it a delight for Konosuba fans. [1][2][3] Some players criticize the poor translation quality and numerous grammatical errors. [4][5][6] The game is recommended for dedicated fans, but not at full price due to issues. [6][7][3]

Poor translation quality, countless grammatical errors, and changing the meaning of lines. There is a thread in the discussions with a long list. Too many even for him to list due to character limits. The one that stuck out to me : A line translated from "I can't get married any more..." into "I've been sullied...". I'm not going to support translations that censor lines for what they think is a service to me. …

TL;DR: The good: It's an official Konosuba game in English! The bad: It's a sequel to a game that will never be released in English. The ugly: There are far too many errors in the localisation that either change meaning, lose nuance, alter character, or (worst of all) show a failure to grasp the meaning of the original Japanese. Problems that a proper quality control check could have fixed prior to release. Not to …

It's a visual novel game about all our favourite Konosuba characters - that's about it really. Would it have been nice to have some more animations for a full-price game? Sure... but hey it's a visual novel game with loads of content, and the trademark self-aware comedy from the anime.

A delight for konosuba fans! If you have watched the series, some clips, or read them. You already know that each of these characters have a fun drive to them. All the scenes are voice acted by the original VAs (japan dub) and it definately feels like something that you would watch. It even has its own anime opening which unfortunately doesnt play every time you open the game. It is fun to watch them interact with …

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So Konosuba is a pretty good series. I have yet to read the light novels, but I love the anime and consider it one of the better comedy series out there. It seems like a good fit for a visual novel, given I also like comedy VNs. But they didn’t exactly give this one the treatment it deserved. So if you remember a few years back, there was this Re:Zero visual novel released. To sum it up, it was terrible. A story that simply rehashes part of the anime with a slight twist and some tacked-on…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do know this review is as biased as it can be. There are typos here and there. The translation can be odd, like a character could say the exact same word 4 times and then the text would translate it in 2 or 3 different ways. Some art is simply hideous, like the special CG you get after crafting the "Leather Fantasy" for Darkness. Not only that but it can even be inconsistent: during one scene Megumin did not have her collar but then a change of pose would make it magically…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It took 96 nearly 97 hours but i did it, cleared all paths, perfected the game, and somehow managed to get the elusive foil badge though a mix of an ungodly amount of booster packs and a couple of market purchases. TLDR: If you love konosuba and just wanna play a path or two, or you're up for the challenge of wholly 100%'ing this i recommend it 100%.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →OKAY... HERE GOES... If you're REALLY REALLY REALLY love KonoSuba, go on and buy this game, it has new jokes that didn't make it to the anime, soundtrack may sound generic at first, but soon you'll enjoy it, characters are funny as ever, you'll get a ton of laugh playing this game trust me, seriously, trust me, specially if you can understand japanese. REMEMBER! Even though this is classified as a game, treat it as an expensive Blu-Ray DVD with some spare gameplay. Do you guys know KonoSuba…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The good: It's KonoSuba (if you like that) Fully voiced The clothes are cute The character route stories are a lot of fun and are around the length of a LN chapter. Neutral: Characters are based on the Season 2/Volumes 3-5 selves, which some people might be tired of It's KonoSuba (if you're indifferent to that)) Game is a sequel/follow up of an earlier game that hasn't been translated (largely irrelevant) The bad: The quantity of items dropped from Quests is EXTREMELY RNG-heavy. Collecting…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR: If you are a fan of Konosuba then this is most likely a game you will enjoy. If you arent then I dont think this is for you. This is a VN mixed together with a managment game that works like a pretty typical dating sim game. It is a spin-off to Konosuba in which you join the typical cast of Konosuba on a quest of creating clothing to complete quests and at the same time use the clothing pieces as "gifts" as is the norm with dating sim games. To craft the different clothing options you…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recommend to konosuba fans, however do not buy through steam. Keys for the game are going for less than half the full price on here, a much more reasonable amount to charge for this. Save the money to get the swimsuit dlc, I consider dlc's like these mandatory to purchase. For £45 I would expect an English dub and an actual quality translation. Most localized vn's tend to be £15-25, reflecting the age of the game and the amount of work put in. How is a full price release justified here?

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I bought this game to play some day when I have enough free time. That day happens to be today, when I am in Japan on vacation, using this day to recover my aching feet and pack my bags before moving to the next hotel tomorrow. I figured the game wouldn't need that much computational power, being a visual novel of sorts, so I've got this efficient low-power laptop with me. I start up the game for the first time... the window is tiny as ♥♥♥♥ and I can barely read things (laptop is 2800x1800,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you've never seen Konosuba, you'd best know that it's probably one of the funniest anime to exist. Konosuba is like the anime version of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, due to the fact that the main cast are always causing trouble, and basically do whatever they want when an idea comes to their mind, and of course, said idea doesn't go exactly to plan. They only work out when it's inconvenient to someone else, and they won't work out if it's purely for their own benefit (like getting…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is a mess of a game.. that I will really not call it a game... what to say: 1st. Forget about choices... your choice is read a guide to get the ending with the girl you want and start from zero skiping all for get the rest. For people that say that visual novels are like this here I come 2nd. Story is linear ending is based in OPTIONAL or side quest. basicly you must do per chapter 2 set of clothes for finish. Get all the set you want for the girl ending you want and ready to go.. but that…

There are still a lot of technical problems that haven't been patched since: I made an outfit for Yunyun and the Scene/CGs for it bugged out. When I go to view the CGs for it it only has 1/5 as a result. The bits of dialogue each girl has after their chapter ends abruptly. The game has a ridiculous amount of typos. From what I can tell there's at least one typo for…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is super boring aside from the cute pictures of the Konosuba girls you unlock when you complete the outfits. Visual novels are renowned for their stories, but this one is just stale recycling of established jokes from the source material, so it tends to get grating quickly. Kazuma in particular is insufferable as a downer to everyone's energy in a game that is already boring, exacerbating the problems in the writing and gameplay in the worst way possible.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Konosuba is a fun series to jump into, and I love the anime for everything it throws at the viewers. From the wacky moments, character personalities, and everything else that you just can't expect. This visual novel comes in with the same ideas, delivering a bunch of interactions and fun moments between characters that feel like they came straight from the anime. Love For These Clothes of Desire comes in with some neat ideas regarding how you should approach spending time with characters…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would refund this game if I could, but I played it 4 hours instead of 2. This game is not good. All of the ELEMENTS are well designed -- mechanics, graphics, sounds, and so on. But the writing is just. Abysmal. The joke is the exact same. They pick the one aspect of the character that matters, then amp it up to 11. Darkness's BDSM. Megumin's smol yabbos. And so on. It just isn't funny. In the show these characters are at least -slightly- more than these tropes, but not here. That's literally…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really love konosuba but doesn't mean I need to love a poorly made game. Game have lot of issues like, if you completed a chapter it automatically reset to starting again and skip and auto doesn't do anything those are there for no reason at all unless you completed that chapter but still won't skip or auto fully, you need to play again from cut scenes to cut scenes.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →カズマ、カズマ!! はい, カズマです。 Konosuba is by far my favorite anime of all time - arguably I think it's perfect. If I was offered the ability to leave my corporate life and live in the Konosuba universe, I would in a heartbeat. Every time I come back to Konosuba I feel like I am meeting old friends again. Unlike other isekai anime, Konosuba's characters are awesomely flawed but at the same time feel like real people. For starters, the interactions between Kazuma, Megumin, Aqua, and Darkness are hilarious…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A somewhat mediocre VN carried by its charming characters and voice acting. Konosuba fans will like it but if you're not a fan of the anime I see no reason to get this. Also surprisingly hard to 100% without a guide.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great little visual novel for the fans of Konosuba! I don't really enjoy the gameplay much but I do like the images! Konosuba Season 4 when?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A visual novel made BY degenerates, FOR degenerates. True to the original characters in terms of behaviours and relationships and everything being voiced is insane! Super high quality with lots of fan service. If you enjoy the anime, you'll enjoy this. Just keep in mind there is like 5% gameplay and 95% reading subtitles.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you love Konosuba, its more Konosuba. fully voice acted besides Kazuma's internal thoughts is a pretty big plus to me, voice actors did amazing here. plot line allows the writers to put the cast in some pretty silly scenarios while at the whims of Kazuma. A lot of these outfits are a real treat, some hot and some genuinely really well designed. All that said I don't think they really played into the inversion of desire plot line nearly heavy enough, Dom Darkness is kinda as far as it goes…
