LYNE
Developer Thomas Bowker
Deceptively simple. Infinitely complex. LYNE is a minimalist puzzle game that will knot your brain as it calms your soul. Connect the shapes. Fill the board. Lose yourself in the interflowing paths of LYNE. From the Steam store page

[4][5][6] Some reviewers find the game repetitive or tedious, and a few report technical issues. [7][8]

I like puzzle games, but this one just isn't fun. It feels repetitive and tedious. Half way through the game I found out that you can just unlock all the levels and try any of the puzzles. I went straight for the 24th puzzle in "Z" (the 25th one isn't a real level). It's the same thing -- you're basically using the exact same strategy eliminating impossible options and gradually shrinking the problem space. It's …

LYNE is a simple and minimalistic puzzle game where you must connect all dots and shapes. accompanied by ambient music, you'll feel relaxed while attempting to solve each puzzle. fortunately, my brain was big enough to complete all puzzle sets.

By far, the MOST DIFFICULT puzzle game I've played. At some point I thought it impossible to complete. I'm only saying this because I didn't look at cheats to finish the game at all. Wanted to test my brain limit or whatever. So i'm DAMN proud of myself for finishing. I Perfect Game-d this. I bloody hope not to play anything like this again. Dear devs, don't make a sequel game or anything of the sort. Respectfully …

A Very Good Logic Puzzle Game! What this game is: It is a puzzle game where you have to link sets of two points of the same colour together using all the same coloured objects and transit points on each setup. How does it work? You need to use all of the space that is available on each setup in order to solve it. Success is defined by having linked all items of the same colour on a given setup without having unused …

LYNE LYNE is a relaxing yet deeply challenging puzzle game that focuses on logic and careful thinking. The gameplay revolves around connecting shapes with continuous lines, which becomes increasingly complex as you progress. With over 600 levels, the game offers plenty of content and steadily raises the difficulty, keeping players engaged. Some levels can be quite tricky, but solving them brings a strong sense of …

neutral · AI labelView post →A deceptively simple puzzle where you draw lines between shapes, but as the shapes and requirements grow it can become an interesting time waster with moderate brain teasers. The sheer volume of what you get also has some value, not only is the core game 675 puzzles, there's endless daily puzzles as well. If you're attempting to do the achievements, the volume of puzzles is potentially tedious. Set yourself a reasonable pace of 1 or 2 sets (of 25, broken up by letter from A to Z) at a time…

I loved Flow & played it a TON when I was in the hospital. It's been really nice to find another puzzle game like it! #lyne #indiegames #indiegamer #puzzles #puzzlegames
positive · AI labelView post →This game started off as very satisfying puzzle game, both visually and audibly. It ended up being the longest time I've spent on simple puzzle game. There are 650 levels in the main game, with each section being just a bit harder than the last. Definitely worth a try.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun puzzle game. Somewhat relaxing. I like that there is no timer. If you like Hexcells like I do, you will like this game. Hexcells is the GOAT, and this is just good. Worth it in my opinion if on sale.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't recommend this game because the controls don't match how I think about solving the puzzle. A lot of the time I feel is spent redrawing the same lines with slight differences because they were wrong, and there is no easy way to make quick corrections to paths. I think the way it stops me drawing a path because another colour path is blocking an edge is annoying. Just let me draw the path wrong, then show that there is an error while I correct the other colour path. Instead I have to…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This isn't a bad puzzle game, but I'm not a fan of game having extremely high level counts without consistently adding mechanics. It just gets boring after the first 100 levels or so. If you like really simple puzzle games that just give you basically a never-ending number of puzzles (via both the 999 puzzles in game and the daily puzzles) then this will be perfect for you. It's not for me though.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you have an Android phone, this game exists on it as well, and is well adapted to that support, while not gaining much from being played on PC, I do recommend picking it up on phone instead! Gameplay: 10/10 Graphics & Sound: 8/10 ✔️ Cool minimalistic puzzle gameplay! ✔️ Simple but pleasing graphics and sound effects ✔️ The puzzles are small, not hard to get back into, but there's a lot of content. 💭 I kinda wish the background music was a bit more stimulating. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To me, LYNE is the perfect meeting game. It is simple enough to do while talking with someone else, but also complex enough that it's not completely mindless. It is very easy to start up or quit at a moment's notice, making it flexible for any length of downtime. It is basically my digital fidget toy when attending work meetings or if I'm not doing anything while on a discord call. It fills a very odd niche in that aspect, which may not appeal to some people, but it definitely works for me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →LYNE is such an incredible game. Even though I used YouTube tutorials to figure out almost all of the puzzles, it still keeps me on my toes. The color scheme is beautiful, and the complex puzzles can be harsh, unforgiving, and often unnerving. All in all, though, it's a fantastic game. It's a refreshing break from all the action-adventure titles I've been playing this past year. Also, the letter achievements are the best! I'd give it a solid 9/10. I had to reduce the score slightly because of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →LYNE, developed and published by Thomas Bowker, is a minimalist puzzle game that exemplifies elegance through simplicity. On the surface, it presents itself as a grid of geometric shapes and soft colors, but underneath this calming aesthetic lies a deeply engaging and cerebral challenge that rewards logical thinking, pattern recognition, and spatial reasoning. Released as an independent title, LYNE strips away the excess commonly found in puzzle games and instead focuses on delivering a clean,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple mechanics, difficulty progression, a bit repetitive at the end and some puzzles are easier than ones before them but is a fun little puzzle game. It could use some music though. If you are into spatial puzzles this is a great choice.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think this was the first game to introduce alphabet achievement logos on Steam, which is the main reason so many people own it. For what it is, the game itself is actually good. It is a minimalistic puzzle game with quite a big selection of levels. It is relaxing and not all that hard. __________________ [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45534557/]Follow my Curator for more!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short review for a nice little puzzle game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Elegant in its simplicity. The dynamic soundtrack makes me feel cleansed and relaxed. The clicking and pulling of, well, "lynes" is responsive and satisfying, especially when I nail those routes. It can disengage sometimes due to a slight nudge of the mouse where unwanted, but there's no time limit so it's easily amended just by clicking and dragging the self-same route again. Slightly more frustrating is the risk of mixing routes up mid-drag- which can itself be a drag, since you might be in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This review is a thumbs-up with a big asterisk. As a puzzle game, I find this one pretty boring. However, as a mindless or meditative activity, it's not bad. Every level basically entails drawing some lines as a first guess, and then readjusting them over and over until it works. I don't feel like I'm learning much as I play. It's basically "Untying Knots - The Game". I'm sure if I untied knots for a couple dozen hours, I would get pretty good at it. But, like, in the end, it's still just…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Either fully free, or single payment, no in-between. Gachas and MTX are bad even if good, either for DRM, heavily addiction-oriented design, GAAS, privacy concerns, and so on. Dandara is fun though pretty hard. Quest of Dungeons is pretty good for short plays. Also dev's on Mastodon. ConflictCraft, Defense Zone 2, LYNE and Downwell are good time wasters. Anodyne and Ittle Dew are great adventure/puzzle games. Deeper Down Dungeons was pretty challenging in a fun way, despite looking a bit…
neutral · AI labelView post →I ended up keeping the game open for a long time in the background of my pc, it didn't really take me 472 hours to complete the puzzles... In any case though, this game is a very nice puzzle game, and for only like $2, would recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Digital Extreme makes some of the coolest music for their game! I kinda want a whole album of On-Lyne music.
positive · AI labelView post →This game takes one idea — draw lines through the nodes, visiting each node the required number of times — and explores it to the end. There are 650 levels (26 × 25) to solve! It did feel like a huge amount of work to plow through. But at the same time, the sheer volume gave me space to develop a "feel" for solving these puzzles — something I maybe wouldn't have happened if the game consisted only of hand-made gimmicky levels. Another big question for me was the puzzle design. The puzzles…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The idea is good, but the overall game is not. Puzzles have more than one solution, so guesswork is part of the game. You can do some reasoning, but it only helps to make an educational guess. Levels repeat themselves, so the game feels like a chore. If the game introduces new mechanics every 15 levels and if the levels have unique solutions, it can be great. The general look and sound of the game are good. I would give it 3-4 out of 10.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the best three dollars I've ever spent. The harder puzzles are a good challenge even if you don't get hooked into the daily games, but those dailies are great for a late night relax session before bed.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →every puzzle is a filler puzzle there is zero exploration towards potential mechanics, it's always the same for so many puzzles (25 puzzles for 26 letters of doing almost the same puzzle over and over) I liked the logical way of resolving the puzzles I've done

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rating: 8/10 Simple puzzle game built of a neat concept. The daily challenges were nice to do for some time, and the escalation throughout the week was enjoyable, the length of daily challenges were perfect for me, I especially enjoy the simple puzzles, they make me feel smart. A minor complaint with the pacing of puzzles through the main sets, which felt like they were a little scattered and some sets just got easier.
