This concept has the potential to be something special. However, in it's current form it feels very much like a proof-of-concept demo and not a real game. The cars feel like riding on ice and there's no real penalty when you hit a wall or head on into something. Which takes you out of whatever immersion it tried to build. The menus, car customization, maps have had real work put into them - I'd rather wait a few …

As other said already it feels very janky. Right away from the beginning in the menu navigating through the menu items isn't even possible. The up down movement just doesn't happen. Stock os on steam deck. Brand new game. Shouldn't happen. And the game itself feels as janky. Just weird physics when driving and nothing feels right. I do think this game has a lot of potential. The mad Max themed car is quite cool and …

Mad Metal wears its inspirations on its sleeves and does them justice. This is a vehicular combat game with a Mad Max aesthetic and Twisted Metal sensibilities. There's multiplayer for most of its very different and replayable game modes. There's a fully voiced campaign, a practice room, survival modes, extraction, FFA deathmatch, and other game modes that really try to stretch the vehicle combat system as far as it …

Classic arcade car destruction, it's limited in options, the game really needs more cars, guns etc, the ones they have already are pretty fun! you'll have a blast flying past your enemy in the sky while attempting to shoot them or light them on fire on surprise. It's simple fun for a simple price. In addition extraction mode is super easy.

Got this on sale when it released and was pleasantly surprised! Finally a game that has pieces of the souls of both old school twisted metal and mad max. I've been playing on steam deck and it hasn't been flawless, but it's been great, and has improved in the short time I've bought the game. So, bought the game for relatively inexpensively and now the dev has already added so much and been very responsive. Are there …

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A failed attempt at a Twister Metal/Mad max clone. Story rashly thrown together from pieces of the road warrior, unimaginative locations level design, lack luster voice acting. Campaign is quite short and sadly couldn't finish it as the game has bugged and can't interact with the boss fight of chapter 5. Multiplayer is mostly what i assume is bots but that's to be expected from something of this caliber. Limited vehicle customization and controls of either mkb or controller don't seem to handle…

neutral · AI labelView post →looked like it could be twisted metal but its just SO JANKY like you could have spent ten more minutes coding the interface and it wouldnt be half as bad. ill revisit it in 6 months and see if it gets fixed
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The co-op experience was extremely lame, no options for teams or match modifiers just you vs. your friend.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Reminded me of old vehicle combat games but with some cool new features like targeting specific parts in slow motion.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For the campaign, i experienced a few bugs in glitches. It was during the part where I had to get the buggy by that enemy territory part. There was a corner of the building that I drove into, and got stuck. I had to spend some time to find a reset button, and that took me a while to get. Its M. Also, there is an idicator for Q for sharp turns, that moves the car a sharp left. But what about a sharp right? no indicator was set during gameplay and I have to find out by pressing random buttons so…

positive · AI labelView post →Fun vehicle combat! The controls felt pretty intuitive but there were moment where things felt rough around the edges. Impressive that this was developed by a solo developer. Looking forward to more customization options in the future.

neutral · AI labelView post →Had a pretty fun time with this one. The driving and shooting took me a little bit to get used to, but once I got into it, I was having a lot of fun just messing around and blowing things up. Definitely had a few chaotic moments that made me laugh. Simple, but I enjoyed it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This reminded me of Twisted Metal so i had to purchase, would purchase again!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Content wise, its decent and theres definitely some serious potential here. Gameplay wise, it just doesn't feel impactful in terms of destruction, collisions. audio, weapons etc. Audio dont sound natural and shooting things dont feel as impactful as they should. I hope down the line these issues do get addressed. So far dev has been really good with taking feedback so I have high hopes for this games future.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the kind of game that gets better the longer you stay in it. I played an early build before and came back to the full release, and the improvement is easy to see. The clean UI is still easy to read, and the graphics now look noticeably better. The vehicles are more varied and look great. The camera has also improved a lot. It is responsive and keeps up with the car, which pulls you into the action. Driving feels good overall. Drifting works well in the main version, and I can control…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got it on day one cause I had a good feeling about it and I was right, the dev is constantly improving both single and multiplayer modes, listening to feedback and implementing major improvements and advancements in both game quality and quantity. Great post apocalyptic vibe and a very cool campaign, with co-op PVE as well as PVP multiplayer makes this a must for all Mad Maxers out there
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Stuttering mess, even on the lowest graphics settings. Feels like its running at 12 fps. Neat concept, poor execution.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mad Metal is a post-apocalyptic vehicular combat game where you customize an armed car and fight through a story campaign, co-op, extraction and PvP modes while targeting individual parts of enemy vehicles. Pros ✔️ I like the idea behind it - We haven't had nearly enough games scratching that Twisted Metal itch, and doing that style of vehicular combat from a first-person perspective is something I genuinely wanted to see work. ✔️ There are quite a few ideas packed into the cars - Multiple…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is this in early beta??? (this be a $3 game you'd find for free on roblox or somethin) Story sounds like ai, voice acting is terrible or at best cringe, plot is garbungo Looks like old G-mod, like a player who just started playing just mashed stuff together to make a mad max type twisted metal black type game. Bruh the mechanics shop is still live play, you can ram a car into it and block up the forced camera or tow a car into it, then that car just stays in the way till you move it…
