The whole thing is set inside the Forbidden City — you wander it as a cat, moving between different areas, doing various things, and gathering materials to craft outfits and furniture. The palace isn’t just a backdrop either,the game quietly feeds you real history and trivia about the place as you play. You pick things up without even trying.
