Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 33 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Mixed (81 of 122 positive).
Many find the PC port poorly optimized with sluggish controls and low framerate. [1][2][3] Some reviewers note the game becomes repetitive and grindy with little strategic depth. [4][5][6]

The gameplay isn't bad, but the strategic depth is not there. There is not a lot of variety of units, and progression is incredibly linear. It is enjoyable for about 30 minutes before it started to feel like I saw everything it had to offer. 100% took 3 hours and even that felt like a grind because progression is slow. The rewards for the progression don't feel tangible and are difficult to notice. Even at $5.00 the …

Awful controls, awful music, awful game. It's just a grindathon. Just copy the levels in the adverts and people will probably enjoy that. Despite running at 120fps it feels like it's running at 15fps. The music is too loud. The mouse controls eventually lag behind the cannon, and the keyboard controls have too much inertia. The champions launch without pressing the 'launch champion' button, rendering them kind of …

It scratches that itch you get with those mobile game ads - without having to endure the ads. At less than a € during sales, it's an easy decision!

So i got this game on sale for $1 and decided to get the dlc for $1.50 usd. It is a half-assed port. The cards you earn in game have no use, i assume they are used in the mobile version with its adds and microtransactions. The game will also play multiple music tracks at once in the menu at the same time, it kinda sucks. It is however very nice to play this without any of the mobile game moneyization or ads. That …

My kids like it. Port of a mobile game. It's like those fake game ads, but they actually made a REAL game. Lot's of grinding to progress, so if you don't like the basic game play, this isn't for you. The PC version feels pretty clean (no ads or obnoxious purchase prompts), but the difficulty doesn't seem to scale well as you progress. It's very easy to win 90% of the time, until randomly the game throws you into a …

61% of the 33 Steam reviewers we collected recommend Mob Control. The complaint that keeps coming up: poor performance and low framerate on PC. Deal-breaker or nitpick?

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →only buying the Steam version because I'm tired of the mobile version crashing all the time
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's ok but it's incredibly grindy and repetitive. It would be good to play while watching a show, but the windowed mode seemed a little glitchy to me. There is no resolution higher than 1920 x 1080 and the game seems to be locked at 30 fps, which is noticeable. The controls are pretty sluggish at times as well and I actually had to use a high DPI mouse or my movement would be too laggy otherwhise. The arrow keys are too laggy also and the cannon will stay moving after I stop pressing them. I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you played the mobile app before this I'd recommend not getting the PC version. It's similar but not the same game. I was hoping to sync my mobile account but that's not possible yet. Mobile is a lot better and free.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You know those strange games you see advertised on Youtube/reddit? You know the ones were you fire out tons of little units and multiple them with gates? Well this is that game! Mob Control! www.youtube.com/watch?v=cF7T... #ID@Xbox #Indiegame #Indie #Gaming
neutral · AI labelView post →Game is poorly optimized. Framerate is very low. Its a poor port. Not for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's alright. It scratches the itch enough so that you don't have to deal with the ad-riddled mobile game.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool game with easy mechanics and simple graphics. I can see that the last achievement will be hard to hammer but maybe I will make it. Anyway STRENGTH IN NUMBERS!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very bad performance on a high end PC and a notebook as well. Gets stale very quick and there isnt as much "thinking" to the gameplay as one might expect. But the performance is the main issue here. Not recommended.

neutral · AI labelView post →It's fun and a stress reliever, plus it's cheap.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game becomes a repetitive slog. There are physics problems and some mobs will walk through walls. The game has scaling difficulty and often the opponent will fire faster or have better mobs. The game doesn't display the opponent full stats and it is difficult to decide to use a bonus or not. Some level designs block off farming resources from the finish.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The bad performance, gameplay, and overall playability of this game is truly astonishing. I already had low expectations - practically none - but even those were underwhelmed. Though I usually enjoy playing trash games, my pleasure found its end fairly quickly. Unless you love actively letting your braincells rot away, I would recommend forgetting about this game entirely and watching paint dry instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I already finished the main story and now I'm basically farming. Thankfully the game has mechanics to automate the process unlike Mob Control, darlings, so we can at least let the game play on its own lol I'm unlocking things to see if there's more lore and watching these trailers. 🐾
neutral · AI labelView post →My guilty pleasure lately, darlings: Mob Control (I've been playing it non-stop for almost two days). But I found a new game to stream on TikTok; this isn't it. MC is filled with ads. And we can pay to get rid of forced ads, but the game constantly encourages us to watch them anyway. 🐾
neutral · AI labelView post →Best game I ever played after RDR2.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ahh fuck they mostly suck but I like Baikoh (word game mixed with brick drop, funny writing), Mob Control and Land Builder lately. and Wordscapes Solitaire but I burned myself out on that.
positive · AI labelView post →On 80% Sale, sure go for it, full price, I would not even think about it. (Played for 12 minutes, did I give it the chance it deserved, probably not)

neutral · AI labelView post →I would love to see more of the mobile versions features in the PC version without the PC version devolving into a micro-transaction hell. It feels very stripped down. The mobile game has a base, which you must protect and buildings which you must feed both coins and blue cubes to to run, each of which come with upgrades for your battles... That's no where to be seen here. It's just some weird "city builder" and by that I mean, click a button, your winnings feed into a towns buildings and once…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lack of multipliers and base building make for too much grinding for any levels past 20. Sucks. its a good game just not worth an hour of play for one card upgrade.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game's bad. I think the selling point is to be like one of those ad games but a real game, yet it still has microtransactions and is super grindy, no challenge, just rng and a waste of your time. I only played it as a challenge when I was gifted it. I regret accepting that 'gift'. Don't buy, waste of time, money, and brain cells.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →pure unfettered mobileslop, now converted to steamslop for your enjoyment
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is completely about nothing , total nonsense. sorry but for first time in my life i say that game is complete trash . game require no skill, no thinking , no luck . just hold one button and see if you win or no.... i can say more but its not worth it

I'm considering moving my #travel content onto Substack and then sharing links to it from various social media platforms. Hoping to also share my expertise on a game app i.e. Voodoo's Mob Control.
neutral · AI labelView post →Mob Control is a bright, fast-moving casual action game that brings the instantly recognizable gate-runner formula from mobile platforms to Steam, reworked into a more tactile, session-based experience suited for PC play. Developed by VOODOO and published by QubicGames alongside Gamersky Games, the game is designed around immediacy and accessibility, prioritizing quick decision-making, visual feedback, and a steady sense of progression over deep mechanical complexity. From the outset, Mob…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boring and repetitive.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very simple, very fun; easy to win but you still want to play. Best way to veg, brain off, and reset.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Whoever made that mobile game Mob Control programmed it with crack, because that joker is addictive 🥴
positive · AI labelView post →The controls can take a little getting used to when using a mouse and keyboard to avoid exiting a battle by accidentally hitting tab, then 'q'. Otherwise, it is a good game to pass the time.

neutral · AI labelView post →It's a bad game but it was worth it for a dollar I guess LOL There's a lot of things about this game that are just wildly irritating but it's not worth really getting into because it's just a gimmick game. Don't spend more than a dollar on it, technically it is worth it at that price point. Thumbs up because it's a harmless phone game copy lmao
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fun and I like math. it scratches the itch of seeing the game in ads and not being able to play it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I LOVE IT SORRY FOR THE CAPS
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Similar to the Android app, but without the endless in app purchase requirements (well, at least if you want to move faster than a snail through the levels). Have enjoyed playing it on the computer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, today I discovered YouTube has a category called Playables. I've definitely seen a lot of ads for that Mob Control game, or at least something similar, but I never noticed a connection with the platform itself! 🤔
neutral · AI labelView post →Sending out a warning to those of you who see ads for a game called Mob Control on your phones: IT IS ADDICTIVE AS HELL. I started playing it around 8 last night and by the time I'd looked up, it was 12:10a. The only reason I looked up at all was because my phone died.
