What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 175 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Mostly Positive (1,621 of 2,150 positive).
Players enjoy the accessible combat and flashy moves, especially for fans of the anime. [1][2][3] Many reviewers criticize the lackluster story mode and recommend buying the sequel instead. [4][5][6] Some players report technical issues like crashes or the game not launching. [7][8][9]

Buggy achievements, a mission mode that is the bad kind of difficult, a story mode that is lackluster and has about 4 cut scenes not including the animated manga panels. The only thing this game has going for it is the combat is fun. Its not really worth playing though. Get the 2nd game instead.

THIS GAME IS A CHASING SIMULATOR IN DISGUISE, You'll spend most of your time chasing your enemy because the AI in this game has a broken strategy, he hits you then wastes time by running around and hits you again and runs around again, definitely not recommended for people with anger issues, but if you enjoy chasing like a stalker then you'll definitely enjoy this chasing simulator with a bit of fighting game

My sister is a BIG fan of My Hero Academia, I have never really watched it (watched the first episode but nothing else) but even though I have never really got into the anime, this game SLAPS. Me and my sister do local 1v1 matches together and it’s actually really fun. The controls are super easy to learn, and overall are not too difficult to grasp. I originally played this game on switch, but bought it on steam …

This game's fighting is pretty enjoyable and good, especially when you can get the combos down, and the graphics and voice acting are great. No complaints there. My biggest issue with it is the fact that the story's essentially non-existent. It's just a bunch of panels of images of characters and text of a supposedly progressing story in the menu screen and then you go and do a fight, repeat this for a couple hours …

MY HERO ONE'S JUSTICE is a 3D arena fighting game based on the My Hero Academia anime. The combat is straightforward, making it accessible for newcomers, but it lacks the depth found in more complex fighting games. The story mode follows the anime's plot but feels brief and may not offer much for those unfamiliar with the series. The multiplayer mode, both local and online is great especially when played with …

Critics, per Wikipedia
Jordan Ramée from GameSpot praised the characters, controls, and easter eggs to the original source material while criticizing the story mode for requiring knowledge of the source material. Alex Santa Maria from GameRevolution praised the presentation, online play, and representation of the anime series, while also criticizing the AI, camera, and fighting system. Clark A. from Digitally Downloaded praised the game's presentation and gameplay, though felt some of the main series' aspects were lost. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not giving this game a proper review yet but for those like me who ran into issues even opening the damn thing and having it crash on checking for DLC screen, right click on your game on steam, go to properties and then in the general tab, go to the bottom and type in (Remove the parenthesis-): "cmd /c set OPENSSL_ia32cap=:~0x20000000 && %command%" If you did it right a command prompt (Black Screen) window will open up alongside your game and it should now be fully playable. You're welcome.…

But there are some things to keep in mind before you buy: A. DON'T BUY. There's a sequal with more characters and SLIGHTLY more people online so don't consider buying unless you're like me and really like MHA. B. IF YOU DO BUY.... 1. ONLY BUY ON SALE. This game was never worth $60.... maybe…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This would be a impressive game if came out in 1995. One of the worst games i've played so far this year. No combos, no counters, weird supers, consistent and constant staggering which you can cheese to win everytime. Artstyle and presentation is kind of nice tho. I know nothing about the anime, but i'm not sure if fans liked this. Bought this a while ago for 1$ and i still feel like i've payed waaay too much for it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I actually hate the mechanics of this game. It feels stiff and terribly archaic. You don't get the freedom of movement like Naruto, but you don't have the 'locking' you'd find in other fighters, making some same direction attacks utterly miss a standing opponent. The AI is pretty bad in most of the starting area missions, and absolutely no characters are explained in any depth compared to the show and manga - unfortunately - unlike a Naruto title which you can play the games and actually get…

neutral · AI labelView post →I didn't mind the DLC bundle being called a season pass when it was a standard term for a bundle that included all future DLC. Unfortunately the industry now seems to be acting like a bunch of [hungry hobbits](https://youtu.be/dLXeL4HbPr4) with Season Pass 1 followed by Season Pass 2 followed by additional loose DLC. (I'm a little jaded at the moment, I bought My Hero One's Justice 2 Ultimate Edition for my son yesterday and found that while we got SP1 and SP2 there are an additional 6…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun, well made game! I've never played a 3D fighter before, and I've come to find that I actually like this style a lot. The campaign was good, as were the challenge modes. It is a dead game though so beware that there might as well not be a multiplayer function. If you're like me and you can have fun playing against AI then it's not a big deal. If you don't have someone to play customs with then I'd only recommend it if you're super into MHA or 3D fighting games. Otherwise, don't…

The story isn't captivating as I have already seen it all before. Don't get me wrong it's not terrible, but I think that it is an absolute robbery you can charge for £50 for this, therefore I can't recommend this, ONLY buy on sale, even if you are somewhat of a die hard fan. Sadly, my excitement went away after first hour of playing :(( Game is boring, mechanics are for 4 y/o child. There is nothing new about the story, its just 2-3 season of anime :// If you wanna play MHA game, buy One's justice 2. Although its almost the same as this sh*t, its a bit better, with better mechanics, graphics and more enjoyable gameplay, and its also a bit cheaper (like a…
