In many ways, this game can be seen as simplified Pokemon. Normally, that wouldn't be a bad thing, but there is such a thing as too simplified. Unlike Pokemons, Nexomons have no IVs, EVs, natures, or passive abilities, meaning there is absolutely no variation between two members of the same species - once you've caught one Nexomon, there is zero reason to catch another one of the same type (unless you want several …

I really like it. combat is as easy as the one from the big N, but they added a simple crafting system, a bit of a darker story and some good jokes. If you like monstertamer games this one is yours. I'm looking forwward to the third game It runs with 4 watts and 40fps on SteamDeck

This game it’s a simplistic take on Pokemon. There are no IVs, EVs, Natures or even abilities, and the Nexomon evolve by just leveling up, no special stones or conditions or anything. There is no breeding, there is no reason to capture the same nexomon more than once, they all have the same stats and moves (but those depend on the level). And regarding moves, this is my biggest con with this game, the nexomons are …

Such a great and funny game! It breaks the fourth wall so many times, and it's hilarious. The Nexomon are adorable, and the story is connected to the first game, so I'd recommend playing that one first (unlike me—I jumped straight into this one lol). I really like the monster designs. They look unique instead of feeling like just another copy of the "gotta catch 'em all" game. Highly recommended. It also runs great …

The story is fantastic and pretty funny. Characters have personality. The world is well-built. The Nexomon designs are some of the best in this genre and rival Pokemon. Combat is simple and fun. The graphics are nice. The game improves on the previous game in almost every regard. The one qualm I had is that the auto-leveling system made combat frustrating. It makes it so you have to develop an over-reliance on …

I thought I'd try out the mobile game Nexomon. I just finished the demo, and all things considered, it's pretty decent. I don't particularly like the overworld's art style, but the monster designs seemed alright. This was my final team, and you know what? I kinda love these weird little guys. lol

If you are someone that enjoys a constant challenge throughout the game then maybe give it a try, but if you just want to play a creature collecting game you might want to know what you are getting yourself into. I tried to give it a fair shot. I completed Nexomon one with 100% achievements and really enjoyed it. But the level scaling in this one just ruins the game for me, the thought that no matter how much i grind i will never be able to clear bosses easily made me stop playing it. I know…

I played through both Nexomon and Nexomon Extinction. Since this is a game made for PC first, I'll start with the positives over that of Nexomon. Positives: PC-first game approach. The game, while still having some of the mobile game aesthetic, is actually a really good PC rendition of the prequel. The UI was revamped to have some care put behind it, such as having menus to help slow confirmations just enough so you're not pressing something you don't mean to. I can see the stamina…

At first I liked this game and felt it had solid potential to be a favorite, but after having it for a while there are some glaring flaws that really hurt the experience: 1. Navigation. Finding where you're supposed to go is annoying, seriously - and they do not tell you. It's a lot of walking back and forth with the only activity between that being rock collecting. But not just any type of walking, it's grid-based walking in static environments, so it doesn't feel like true exploration. 2.…

Really funny story, cool monsters, and SO many good quality of life changes pokemon should have implemented a decade ago. EDIT: Oh and NO microtransactions if you play on switch/PC. The microtransactions on mobile are pointless and make no sense, so don't play on mobile.

After enjoying the first Nexomon, I was curious to see whether Nexomon: Extinction would fix its shortcomings while keeping its identity. This sequel takes place several years after the events of the first game and clearly aims to deliver a more ambitious adventure. Positives - A more captivating story. The narrative clearly gains in scale. The developers do a great job of pulling the player into the universe and its stakes, with moments that are sometimes serious and sometimes lighter,…

Bought this game for a dollar, got a solid 25 - 30 hours out of the main game. Pretty worth it, imo. Obviously, the main comparison is to Pokemon or Coromon. In those terms, this is a much shallower game - coverage for different type enemies comes from the Mons you have, not from their movesets, as each Mon generally only learns moves of their element, or Normal element. Generally speaking, Mons are also fairly squishy, which is a little annoying, as a couple fights will have you running for…

Game is good, BUT... There are a few slightly annoying points in the game. Stamina: skills don’t have PP, but a stamina cost... basically “mana”. This makes farming fairly tedious because you end up having to go back and forth a lot to heal. You could just build up a huge stock of health (and stamina) potions, you might say! except you don’t become a millionaire as easily as in Pokémon. It’s actually quite the opposite, so spamming potions isn’t recommended. Instead, you’re better off…
